California ‘haven’ youth in home state:
The 14-year-old from Davis, California who was dropped off by his foster Breeder in Nebraska is returning to California.
He’s now under the custody of his local social services department. That makes me wonder if his foster Breeder actually tried to find assistance within her community or was driving 1,170 miles to Nebraska her first choice.

I just don’t understand why some of these kids who were taken to NE to be dumped were either foster kids or adopted. Another thing I don’t understand is the extended family of the one in MI. The excuse was “well, the mom could only take so much.” So, why did she SIGN UP to ADOPT this poor kid?
You got me Trisha. #36’s foster Breeder had him for 10 years. Maybe the money wasn’t worth it for her anymore.
As a foster parent, I’m shocked by this. If a child is too difficult to manage, you can contact the caseworker and have the child moved. We’ve had to have children moved twice. The first time was because the child’s father found out where we lived and was threatening to kill us (which we were told was NOT an idle threat). The second time was a group of three kids. We didn’t want to have them moved, but the 5 y/o was violent and continuously hurt our 5 y/o son (bloodied lip, ripped out hair, kicks). And, before you jump to conclusions that I wasn’t paying enough attention, these incidents would occur when I was in the bathroom. And, yes… everyone has to go potty now and then. The 5 y/o was so violent, he got expelled from pre-school in two days. So, for the safety of our son and the kids in pre-school, we asked the caseworker to find a different placement. We’ve had 17 children in our home in 6 years and never once would I have considered driving one to Nebraska.
