#31 in Nebraska

Safe Haven: Miami Boy Is State’s 31st:

Nebraska’s 31st safe haven drop off was recorded yesterday. This time it was an 11-year-old boy from Miami, Florida. It seems like that the local Nebraska media are so fed up with these stories they’re barely reporting on them.

I don’t know how the DSD* traveled to drop his son off but if he went by car he would be the new distance record holder since Miami to Omaha is 1600+ miles.

Will there be any more before tomorrow’s emergency meeting by the Nebraska Legislature?

There’s a high probability that you’re right in your DSD comment, but perhaps we should find out what the circumstances are before jumping to conclusions.

I live in Florida, the idea of flying to Nebraska is daunting at the very least, I have a very hard time believing that someone took an 11 year old there to dump them off and treated the decision lightly.

A family from Detroit did it just to prove a point. Same with a mother from Georgia. So Miami might not be that much of a stretch.

Then I guess I’m just an idealist believing that parents want what’s best for their children.

If that was the case I’d be out of a job.

Is that the same wee boy who tried to set a cat on fire and hit his mum with a saw ?

Ok, I’ve been trying my best to figure it out on my own with no luck…what does FBO stand for? I am sure I will kick myself at the obviousness of it!
