Craigslist is hotbed of online prostitution:

Actually, this is a great article from the Knoxville News Sentinel that looks at craigslist prostitution from the police side and the side of the slimy pimps.

However, the article mentions one thing that one former reader touched on before, the alleged disclaimers that craigslist pimps and hookers put on their ads.

Advertisements on Craigslist that feature suggestive language and photographs often also feature a disclaimer. Several on the Knoxville site read:

“Money exchanged is for my time and companionship services only. Anything else that may or may not occur is a matter of personal choice between two consenting adults of legal age and is not contracted for, nor is it requested to be contracted for any other matter.

“This is not an offer of prostitution and calling me constitutes acceptance of these terms.”

Of course, police have the same opinion of them as I do…

“That’s baloney,” said Greg Norris of the Johnson City department, explaining that if a sex act occurs and money is exchanged, such statements about “matters of personal choice between two consenting adults” don’t hold up in court.

I hope our friend in the assless chaps is still reading.

    You are an asshole sir, threw and threw. I’ve been reading your bias comments on the issues of prostitution and your one sided comments are just all the same, bitch bitch nothing new, its illegal, its bad blah blah blah yet you have no real depth or reason into your answers. What not getting enough at home? Ex-retired police officer or drop out who has a grudge against the world? Man you got issues. I take it you’ve never been over seas and have not seen what the MAJORITY (yes the Majority) of country’s have done with the issue. They’ve smartened up and took the oldest civilized profession made it require licenses and STARTED GETTING THEIR CUTS which is the proper way to regulate it. Not criminalize it dumbass. Its just a matter of time until America follows the same, and legalizes it as in parts of LAS VEGAS starts taxing it and making money off it. In the meantime, we have to keep paying taxes to assholes that shouldn’t even be going after internet girls that want to do it. Besides EVERYONE does it either directly or indirectly. Everytime you take that hot date out to dinner and entertainment and pay for everything then come back to your/their place to get it on….that’s the same thing buddy except with a meal included! Now i would agree with street walkers, for family sake that’s just not something that should be in the open, but for discreet gals that want to do this cleanly and professionally to provide a living for themselves, what is the issue here? It’s just a bunch of donut cops getting their egos turned on to bust hot pretty girls and assholes like you that patronize it. And yes it’s a real job, prick, exchanging service for money, that’s what a job does. Well buddy just as the days of prohibition came and pass, so will this. Then what will you write about? In the meantime why don’t you research the isssue a little more and come up with something of substance, dickhead 😆
