More on Michael Jacques new legal team

Death Penalty Experts Join Jacques’ Defense Team:

The fancy pants lawyers that will be advising Michael Jacques are David Ruhnke and Jean DeSales Barrett of the New Jersey law firm of Ruhnke & Barrett.

After slogging through the spam that most lawyer pages are I did find out that they are specialists in federal death penalty cases. Jacques is facing federal charges of kidnapping on the death of his niece Brooke Bennett. Jacques is also a convicted sex offender.

Allegedly Ruhnke & Barrett have never had a client executed. If Jacques is guilty of Brooke’s death here’s hoping their streak comes to an end.

You mean if hes FOUND guilty. It’s obvious the motherfucker did it.

Well it’s obvious that the motherfucker kidnapped the little kid, but the proof that he killed her might be harder to come by. Especially because he was part of a large ring of kiddie diddlers. I hear kiddie diddlers are at risk for castration by their prison mates. In my mind it would be a good start.

Mnnnn, better start would be a cessation of their lives. But I suppose castration would be good too.

There was no kiddie ring, he made it all up to hold over his step daughter’s head.. to keep her in fear so he could continue to “teach her” sex and graduate from the “program”.. gimme a break.. he’s sick and he deserves to die. I live about a half an hour from where this took place here in Vermont and it shook the whole state. I hope to be able to go to the court house and watch some of the trial. I too have a 12yr old and this scares the crap out of me.

Wow I live in VT. I hope the case does go to trial, and the good people of Vermont get some closure.

Are you saying you know for a fact that he made it all up? Is that why the latest word is? There has been nothing in the news….

Oh my god that’s almost more horrible than the former. That poor girl has to be mindfucked.

Yes Mrs. Garda – I can’t even begin to comprehend…I wonder if she will ever recover? Can you imagine, first the shattering experience of sexual abuse, and then this????

  8. Mrs. Garda Avatar

I could cry for this girl laurie. Can you even imagine her trying to have a normal relationship with a man? A lot of girls just go sexually -crazy- after stuff like this. I mean just…any one any time, unable to seperate love and sex…the poor -girl-.

Yes – I can’t imagine, that without a lot of help, years of therapy, she will be able to have a ‘normal’ relationship with anyone. The betrayal, shame, anger, rage, distortion, depression…

I hope we find out what happens tho’ – she will have to live with this for the rest of her life. Brooke does not have a life to live – Jacques took that away from her.

In a way I would like to see him fry, but I wonder if it would be a worse punishment if he had to live out the rest of his days in prison.

Honestly and I know this sounds barbaric, but in a -perfect and ideal- world I’d like to have him castrated the good old fashioned way, then put back in society, with his name and face broadcasted every night on the news, so EVERYONE knows who he is, giving him no police protection, and just let him live the rest of his days running from place to place, never allowed to rest for what he did. You know. Carte blanche declared on him.

I agree Mrs. Garda- any sex offender that is released from prison needs to be watched, by everyone.

Unfortunately, castration does not stop the molestation and/or attacks. I wish it were that easy….

No of course not. That’s for humiliation not for practicality. I still think society should be given the ability to do whatever they want to these men and women that dare hurt our most precious things.

Yes – I guess that would be rather humiliating…can’t imagine. I agree with you on the feelings that it brings to the surface for me, what I would like to do. But, I like to believe that maybe I can be more human like than they are…and not do what they do. Sometimes I find myself being very philosophical on this issue. I guess that comes with age.

Have you seen Trench’s new open post? He posted the link yesterday. Check it out. I am not sure on why a message board is better than a blog site – but we now have a message board as well.

I wonder what charges will be brought against his supposed co-conspirator, J1. I wonder if she will have the need for high powered lawyers?

Yeee *goes to check it out*

Vermont does not have a death penalty. this is a local crime, and it’s a shame that we’ve allowed the federal government to come in and try to take care of this for the citizens of Vermont. the only reason feds get jurisdiction is by stretching his use of the internet to mean that interstate commerce was involved…

So you’d rather see Jacques get another chance of getting out and doing this again?

I live in Randolph, VT and I am SOOOOO damn glad the state of VT is not involved in prosecuting this POS. If this case were in VT’s judicial system, he would be a free man in 10 years I gaurantee it. Our state is far too lenient on these sick bastards.
