Human trafficking in El Dorado Hills

El Dorado Man Charged With Sex Trafficking:

23-year-old Rishi Sanwal was arrested on Monday on charges of sex trafficking. Sanwal was allegedly prostituting a missing teen from El Dorado Hills, California. After the teen disappeared she called a friend. Police were able to use the caller ID to trace the number back to some hooker ads placed on craigslist.

Undercover cops set up a meeting and were able to rescue the teen and arrest Sanwal.

So a teenage girl being held against her will and prostituted couldn’t possibly be considered a victim could she?

Cut the proponents of legalized prostitution a little slack. I doubt that very many of them believe that it’s ALWAYS a victimless crime. They may not deserve the benefit of the doubt very often, but even a stopped John may be right twice a day.

EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. – A case involving a missing El Dorado Hills teenager last March led police to arrest a man on Monday accused of sex trafficking, officials said. Rishi Sanwal, 23, was arrested by FBI agents and Sacramento police at the intersection of Green Valley Road and Francisco Drive and has been charged with sex trafficking, police said. Authorities found him less than two miles from his parents’ home in the 3100 block of Hopkins Place, where they conducted a federal search warrant.http://www.placerville.info/fbi_police_arrested_rishi_sanwal_in_el_dorado_hills_for_sex_trafficking-07-02-2008.html
