Brooke Bennett’s body found

The body of missing 12-year-old Brooke Bennett was found earlier today. The article was unclear whether her body was found near her uncle’s property or not but only says that her body was found in Randolph, Vermont, the same town where her uncle lives.

If you’ll remember her uncle, Michael Jacques, is alleged to have been part of a child sex ring known as Breckenridge. Now details are emerging that Brooke was to be initiated into that ring.

In an affidavit released Wednesday, federal officials said a 14-year-old girl told authorities she helped Jacques take Brooke to his Randolph home on June 25 to be initiated into a child sex ring to which he belonged.

No word yet if her death is being treated as a homicide.

My thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to Brooke Bennett’s friends and family.

I can’t wait till this man is behind bars for good, and he will get what is coming to him. Isn’t he a charming specimen to look at?

I feel so bad for the family – this little girls eyes are so sad in the picture in the papers. My God!! I hope they are investigating this guys ties to Texas and everyone he has come in contact with. Especially any other men or teenagers. I wonder if this is the first young girl that he has had contact with that has disappeared?

Since he has already been in prison for kidnap and rape of a minor girl and is being charged with another incident besides poor little Brooke I would not be surprised. I think except for the biological father, her entire family should be charged. Stepfather was in on this up to his neck. The mother was married to a sex offender. Her sister was married to this scumbag. OH so sad for this beautiful little girl. Shame on this whole family. My sympathies to her father and stepmother. Why do we continue to let sex offenders out of jail. I am not a violent person but so mad I think they ought to bring back public hangings.

How absolutly gut wrenching. My heart goes out to this little girl. I can not believe that any mother who really loves her children would put them in such a position. All I can say is that it is a shame that it is against the law to preform labadamie’s on these people who violate the innocents of our children. I can’t understand not taking care of a problem like that permently. Why let an offender out of prison to do it again, or even better they violate our children and everyone is worried about violating there rights??? Where is the justice?? Who is going to answer to this little girl for her life?? What kind of people get to play god with all our lives, Who makes the decision that people like micheal jaques wasn’t a threat to anyone anymore????? Do we leave to much of our fate to the descretion of others??? Step up and look around, see what your kids are doing. Protect them like there is no tomorrow. Don’t let your children become another sad story like this. Ask questions and stay involved….

How can we properly protect our children when the justice system keeps letting them back into society. It has been proven that sexual predators can not be rehabilitated. I was watching Nancy Grace last night and one of the lawyers said “we can’t just keep them in jail forever”. Oh yes we can and should. Either that or we should start the death penalty whether death is involved or not. I hope they can do something with this mother. I wonder if she has any other children. They should be taken away immediately from her and her sister. Our judicial system is broken. I needs fixing. Thank god for people like Mr. Walsh and Mr. Klass. They keep crusading to pass laws for better protection. God bless this poor child.

This makes me so angry, and Im not sure if Im more upset with the uncle, his probation officer, or Brooke’s own mother.

First of all, this guy was a registered sex offender….yet he was out cavorting with AT LEAST one young girl for sex (not Brooke)….and sending perverted emails (at the very least)…his probation officer wasnt keeping a good eye on him, obviously! Law enforcement needs to WAKE UP and do a better job of keeping these guys away from children (getting rid of them via the death penalty isnt a bad idea!)

As for the mother..she knew of this guys history, and yet she didnt keep Brooke away from him. Not to mention she selected a sick-o to marry (her ex, Brooke’s step dad, who appears to be involved.) So, this mother seemed to have an attraction to perverts and was just as sick as the men, IMO, and should be held accountable.

I pray that Brooke now is at peace, something she probably didnt get on this earth.

I ask myself the same question. How can we let them out. These offenders have already taken so much of one persons life and they go in for a short while and are release as “rehabilitated”. That is a bunch of bull. Any person who has the ability to kidnapp and rape a child is far beyond and rehab. This is such an evil person they should never have contact with another person much less be out in public with access to more children. How can our justice system think these kind of people are able to come back into society and conduct themselves humanly. I know the Supreme Court just ruled sex offenders who rape children can’t get the death penalty, but why in the hell would we put our children at risk and let them see sunlight and worse, have access to children again?!?!?!? Something has to change!!!!

Such a terrible tragedy! What mother in her right mind would let her daughter near a sex offender and then actually marry one also.
I think her mother should definitely be charged
in this case. I am sure Brooke is at peace now as I feel she never had any peace on this earth.

I know when my neighbor waters his lawn during water restriction days. I’m not a nosey guy…I just pay attention. The questions that come to mind when I see this scumbags (Michael Jacques)face plastered all over the evening news are: How come HER MOM failed to realize a level 3 sex offender was too close to her daughter ?HOW Michael Jacques afford the spacious house he lived in? as a lvl 3 sex offender, WHO would employ him?

I atleast hope she is at peace. This is a terrible thing to have happened. Very sad that this innocent little girl had such a piece of crap family!!!!! There is no words to describe how much of a animal Jacques really is. He now faces the death penalty. That is too easy for him. Make the f***** suffer for a very long time, Inhumane punishment!!! I think public hanging is in order. The Uncle and the stepfather. As for the mother and her sister if they have any other children for the love of god take them away. When I saw her crying on t.v. I wanted to reach through and slap her. The poor father has been in Iraq fighting for our country and comes home to this. My sympathy goes out to him and his wife. How he can control himself with his ex-wife at this point is beyond me. I surely wouldn’t.

Has anyone noticed that Jacques &ldquosuccessfully&rdquo completed the state sex offender rehabilitation program. Give me a break!!!!! If he had served his full sentence (20 years) he would still be in jail and these children would be alive and whole.

I too wondered how this ‘pervert’ could afford such a partial home/lots of land? As a sexual predator I wonder if the West Lebanon, NH company he worked for as an ‘operations manager’ knew of his background? If not – why not? Wouldn’t warnings have to be posted in West Lebanon that this freak walked amongst them? Junvenile #1 is reportedly the daughter of Jacques. My God who was monitoring this child with a FATHER known to be a serial rapist since 1985 (reported for 100 sexual acts). WHERE in God’s name were the mothers – or were they part of this SICK scenario? WHAT sane mother wouldn’t know that her NINE year old child wasn’t being RAPED for YEARS (till age 14). This 14 year old seems irreparably mentally (besides physical) impaired in that she would LURE her young cousin into the clutches of her father – when she KNEW what would occur? Let’s please remember the 14 year old was under this guys brainwashing techniques and suffered horribly since she was 9. If she did led this girl to her father she knows no better. She will need extensive therapy and as much support as she can possibly get. I am sure she will suffer from post traumatic stress system. This child needs our love and prayers as well. But, as far as I can see, if this was the cousin, she has not been taken away from her mother. Still in an unsafe environment. Both these mothers should be charged. Can’t law enforcement come up with something. Endangering your child by letting them be around not one but two sexual predators. Unfortunately their is nothing we can do to Brooke. We need to find a way to protect the child who is still left with this family.

Even in the PDF format affadavit posted by Trench the mother describes coming home early one day and Jacques is coming down the stairs and the daughter is near her parents bedroom in a towel. Daughter says she took a shower, but the mother says the shower is dry. The mother then finds a porn DVD and KY Jelly in the bedroom…….????????????????????????
AND YOU DON’T SET UP A SECRET WEB-CAM IN YOUR BEDROOM TO SEE WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON???????
I agree, I think the mother knew what Jacques and her daughter were doing…whatever her poor pathetic reasons were for not stopping it…she needs to be held accountable to some extent.

Poor Brooke, her own cousin set her up to make her “suffer”, according to her own words. Yes, the cousin is an accomplice and planned the kidnap/rape with her father but she won’t be charged
#1 She’s a victim
#2 the Feds will use her as the star witness and she will be obsolved of ANY involvement….
Prayerfully, the living victim will somehow be de-programmed, but she is in love with her father/lover, that will be difficult.

Does anyone know where Brooke’s mother was in all this? Did Brooke live with her Grandma, or just visiting?

Jude – apparently on the “are you a felon” question Jacques answered no and the employer never followed up. The employer has subsequently said if they knew of his past convictions they would not have hired him.

Most people wouldn&rsquot allow a former bank robber free access to their cash, safety deposit box, or bank account. So why do so many parents allow their children around convicted sex offenders?

The tragic disappearance of twelve year old Brooke Benton brings to the public eye again another repeat performance of stupid, careless parents. Benton&rsquos maternal uncle, Michael Jacques, was convicted in 1993 of the the sexual assault of a young girl. There is no dispute over the fact that Brooke&rsquos mother knew of her brother&rsquos past. There are state and national databases easily accessible by the public. Even if there isn&rsquot a sex offender in your family, take advantage of the database. Run your zip code, find out where the sex offenders are in your neightborhood because whether or not you know them, they ARE there.

If parents are not pro-active in the protection of their children, then they may find themselves in the same position as the parents of Brooke Bennett. Waiting for the next call from the police and wondering why you didn&rsquot do more.
