Brooke Bennett’s stepfather arrested

First, before I get into the post I want to make one thing clear to my readers and commenters.

Stop posting links to Brooke Bennett’s MySpace. I have a rule about posting the MySpaces of victims. I don’t. End of discussion.

Former Stepfather Implicated in Disappearance:

40-year-old Ray Gagnon of Texas was arrested during the same investigation that netted Brooke’s uncle Michael Jacques. Neither has been named as a suspect in Brooke’s disappearance.

Gagnon is accused of destroying evidence and sexually assaulting a minor last summer in Vermont.

Now here’s where it gets really scary. Michael Jacques belonged to a child sex ring called Breckenridge. Police aren’t saying if Gagnon was involved.

In my opinion, these two investigations are now linked but that’s just a hunch. There’s just way too many coincidences.

What the HELL is Brooke’s mother’s problem, allowing her to be alone with a convicted sex offender. Finally saw the mother on TV and her tears did not appear genuine.

I say once those two are sentenced, put them in the same prison as Jeffrey Dahmer died in, so perhaps the guards there will “walk away” as the other inmates inflict slow &amp painful deaths.

The mother saw all of these things and never once tried to do anything…my god…that affidavit was horrifying, it was like something out of a nightmare. Or one Anne Rice’s really bad erotica novels…How the hell do you measure sexual activities on a percentage?

Mom must have been in on it…otherwise she is legally mentally retarded. Either way she should have never had a kid.

No it’s not in fact. The page has no relevance to the crime and she is innocent, therefore anything posted on her page, even positive things, is wrong. Her and her family has suffered more than enough without random fools harassing them.

Can you imagine? Oh My God! Where were this little girls parents? I have read of sex rings, slave trade etc., and this fits right in, it is always a shock. It so hard to hear, that such evil exists. These men will get theirs. I hope this investigation is not dropped before it nets all of the destroyers.

This young girl will need years of therapy. I wonder and hope and pray that she is able to escape profound damage in the future from these
horrendous and cruel acts.

Its a sad day in hell when a person can honestly believe that a child – anyone for that matter – could have had such a heinous thing such as being raped and their life taken away from them – coming to them. A life was ended for someone elses cheap and dirty amusment. How is that warrented? Its not and shame on anyone that is capable of even thinking such a thought.

As for the mother, well I can’t stop shaking my head in dismay at her actions or lack thereof. I am a single mother of a 4 yr old and I have not so much as given my phone number to a man since I had my son, let alone dated anyone. How could she not have know that she was (1) married to a sexual predator and (2) that the man married to her sister was also a predator. And if she did know, how could she possibly justify leaving her daughter alone with this man to sleep at his home? I just don’t get it and now a little girl’s life has ended, forever gone. Its horrible and just breaks my heart to think about it.

One thing I’m curious about and perhaps someone on here can tell me, has there been any interviews done with the mother’s sister, the one married to this animal? If so, what are her thoughts on this? She’s probably defending her animal husband saying he’s not capable of doing such a thing. I cringe at the thought.
