Michael Gray sentenced

Back in October I posted about the arrest of 30-year-old Michael David Gray of Grover Beach, California. He was arrested for having sex with a 15-year-old girl that he met over MySpace and supplying her with drugs. All sorts of people came out of the woodwork defending Mr. Gray saying there’s no way the charges of true because he’s not capable of such a heinous act.

Well, the court seems to disagree as he was sentenced to 60-days behind bars for unlawful sexual intercourse, aka statutory rape. He’ll also have three years of probation and 20 hours of community service. He also can not have any drugs or alcohol or have any contact with the girl.

That is true. He did receive that sentence. However, what you failed to post is that he plead no contest. He did not admit guilt and he was not found quilty. He plead out to a lesser charge to get this overwith and behind him. He also does not have to serve time behind bars. He does have community service and probation, but he did not have to register as a sex offender. In fact, the majority of his sentence was not for unlawful sexual intercourse at all, but for posession of marijuana and contributing to a minor. Had he made the choice to go to trial he probably would have been found not guilty, but he has some family stuff going on right now that he needed to focus on. So while we appreciate you posting some of the facts, please make sure you have them all and they are correct before you go posting things that are not entirely accurate.

As his sister I have his paperwork from the San Luis Court in which he was charged with one account 1 and only 1 11361B Furnish/etc minor with marijuana..and he plead out. He was not charaged with or plead to any other charge. As his sister I am very frustrated and angry with the media that they would glamorize the case and not report the fact that the sex charges were dropped and not persued by the DA because of lack of evidence..why a lack of evidence because the very “distrubed” young lady lied flat out when my brother told her he did not want to see her again when he found out her age.

To the OP I would suggest you do your research a little better than just taking what you feel/think because I too have kept an eye on this case and if you bothered to do a little research you would see that the unlawful intercourse was dropped. He was only charge with delinquency of a minor for marijuana. Also too I know of the girl that this all started over and she has been in and out of Juvenile Hall and rehab centers constantly since this all started which is why it took so long for this case to move through the system. All this on top of the fact that he didn’t do it is why it was ultimately dropped. Also too the girl still has her myspace page set as her being an adult. So you may want to do your research a little better rather than just stirring the pot.

Yeah, I’m sure he was supplying drugs to a minor for altruistic purposes. I’m sure it didn’t have anything to do with trying to get the girl in bed.

Oh yeah, he must be a monster. You know him so well, right? Do you honestly think that we would come out of the woodworks to defend him STILL if he wasn’t a good and decent person? I was engaged to Michael Gray and I know him better that a lot of people. I can tell you he is a good person who made a mistake. People make mistakes. His was blown way out of proportion. You need to make sure you know all the facts before you post on your little blog the over-hyped, glamorized version of the story.

Like I haven’t heard that story 100 times about 100 different sex offenders. You can go through a multitude of stories on this site where people come out of the woodwork telling me how such a great guy he is right before he’s convicted and sentenced.

To Trench, her sister brought her to mikes birthday party and was drinking, thats where the furnishing alcohol charge came from, there are also 5 written statements from guest who spent the night stating that the girl went home and was not there. Also the girl flat out lied and made up the stories because of the fact that she wanted to run away and live with mike and he said no, so she got even. This is also not the first time she flat out made up stuff against a guy, unfortunately she knows how to work the system, she also knows she say and do what ever she wants without getting in trouble with the law because she is a minor. My question is why is her parents not under arrest for prostituting her out for their meth habit something the girl also claimed, and something that the press forgot to ask.

Everybody Knows

To all defenders of Michael Gray, ESPECIALLY his sister and fiance, and friend: STOP embarrassing yourselves. ANY man with HALF a brain would always be cautious of potential jail bait WHEN HUNTING ON MYSPACE! And I think WE ALL KNOW MICHAEL IS HIGHLY INTELLIGENT. IF you have a 15 year old girl STANDING in front of you, no matter how much makeup,or in tight and revealing clothing, no matter how promiscuous or drug loving, can you REALLY not tell they are NOT of age, upon FIRST SIGHT?
Any man can, and a desperate scumbucket would take advantage of it in WHATEVER CAPACITY he could.
NO CONTINUOUS CLUES that this girl was too young to hang out w/a 30 yr old? Did she even have the minimal vocabulary, and intelligence that a high school graduate would have? NO RED FLAGS that might have made you curious enough to ask to see her I.D.?
HE THOUGHT HE WOULD BE SAFE CAUSE HE knows the law quite well, and COULD USE so many excuses to protect himself.
HE DIDN’T KNOW.

It doesn’t matter what this girls history is.
I think we all know that a highly intelligent 30 year old man who even “HANGS OUT” with a young female of UNEQUAL intelligence, and provides drugs/alcohol to, AND hunts for females on myspace, is after one thing, and has NO BOUNDRIES and is nothing but a DESPERATE, SLIMY, and PATHETIC piece of excrement who is obviously FAR FROM DECENT.
I know you care about him, everybody on this planet has friends and family that love them, criminal or not, O.J’s family and children love him do they not? but Michael is what he is.
Yes they were able to get him on the drug charges so that they can give him probation etc.
Kinda like making sure we put O.J away for the vegas thing, but really doing it in honor of greater charges.
To all his friends and family:
In my opinion Michael Gray is a foul opportunist, and user, adept at scheming, a pro at being a slimy liar and deceitful, and a pervert in this and in SO MANY OTHER WAYS who always takes advantage in ANY WAY HE CAN. A bad egg.
But then honestly, you already knew that, didn’t you?
