Did Dr. Phil bail out beating suspect?

I don’t know how true this story is but at least one Florida news outlet is reporting that Dr. Phil paid the bail of Mercades Nichols. Nichols is the alleged ringleader in the recorded beating of Victoria Lindsay. Allegedly Dr. Phil’s people tried to get other reporters to leave the jail as Nichols was his exclusive.

If any of this story is true then Dr. Phil should be run off TV especially if he’s paying her. Crime isn’t supposed to pay.

I thought dr. phil is smarter then that. With these crimes with kids nowdays he goes and aids the beater. He could have offered psychological help instead. Should have let her stay in there for a while so she would learn her lesson.

Dr. Phil bails kid out jail.

Kid (and Parents) go on Dr Phils show only to be berated on National Television in that way that only Dr Phil can do.

Kid straightens up. Only to never be heard from again.

Works for me.

Seems to me he should have offered for Victoria Lindsay. After the trial it would be good for kids to learn what was said online that caused all the anger that lead to this beating how my space sites are hacked and how to be more politically correct to keep yourself safe on these web sites. Most parents know these are not good sites, but kids sneak around to go on them…at a friend’s house, etc. so the conclusion parents reach is that it is better to allow networking on my space in the hope that they will have some control by checking what is on their kid’s site. Parents say, “If I don’t allow this, they will just go to another social site and I won’t know about it. This way I can monitor it.” This, of course, didn’t work for Victoria Lindsay’s parents. Seems the best avenue to take is know the kids your kid is socializing with….and more important, KNOW THE PARENTS of these friends and what their standards of living are. Socializing with kids with Hardcastle’s family background is trouble waiting to happen….as we all witnessed.

It is reported on efluxmedia.com that Dr. Phil’s people broke the rules in doing this and indeed it was done. Terri Corigliano, spokeswoman from the show, said a mistake was made and that the show about Hardcastle would not be done. Guess the show will lose this bail money…can’t really imagine that they would withdraw it and put her back in jail. Best coverage of this case is at http://www.TheLedger.com., which is the newspaper for Lakeland, FL. By the way, seems only two were still in jail on Saturday…not bailed out. Bet they are freaking out by now..don’t you?

Dr Phil honestly I think just decides what he wants to do I mean hes getting paid to be on tv and I dont understand what the point of that show is. just people who have problems (that sometimes seem really fake) go on there just to be on tv its pointless

I am disgusted that Dr Phil would stoop this low. He can blame it on his staff all he wants, he had to know about it. The right thing to do would be offer the victim some help not the skanks who did it. It would do these kids some good to stay in jail. None of the families had money for bail, so how did they chose just one to bail out? I am over Dr Phil, boycottinghis show as well as the sponsors of his show.

Of course it is blamed on some “renegade” staffers of the Dr. Phil show. Did they fire these staffers? I’ll bet not. He gets the media coverage and then says they’ve decided not to air the stories, blah blah blah. Is Dr. Phil going the way of many talk show hosts who seem to be willing to do whatever it takes to keep their shows on the air/rating-searching for guests from the lowest common denominators of, and most sensationalistic stories, from society? Oprah is the one who basically got him started/helped promote him. Now she has joined the ranks of the Donald with a You’re Fired-like- reality show masquerading as the Big “Give”. It’s all about rating and money.

Shame on Dr Phil. I have enjoyed his shows in the past but will not watch him again. He needs to take some of his own medicine he trys to dish out. Why on earth would you ever want to be apart of what these young adults did to this girl. Bailing one of the out is just like saying it is okay that you took this girl hostage and beat her along with 7 others. I guess I really should not be shocked by what Dr Phil has allowed to happen. I say boycot his show he is not trying to help anyone , he is just trying to make as much money as he can off of anyone and their pain. It is a shame a man that seems to be very smart would do such a thing. And think about it he says his show does not do this sort of thing well then the person that controls the money and writing of the checks must have different views on this issue because the so called new person that bailed the girl out had to recieve money from Dr Phil’s show to be able to pay the bail. This tells me that Dr Phil has allowed this sort of thing to happen before or it would have never happened to begin with. It would not have even crossed any one person mind to bail the girl out. Shut Dr Phil down he is only out for TV ratings ( money money money ) Shame on you Dr Phil !!!!!
