Tobin Kerns found guilty

Marshfield teen found guilty of helping to plan Columbine-style attack:

Today Tobin Kerns was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and threatening to use deadly weapons. After the verdict, Tobin was remanded to a juvenile facility. His sentencing is scheduled for November 5th.

A personal note to Judge Louis Coffin. You have made a tragic mistake and imprisoned an innocent kid.

Tobin, I’m sorry.

Just an observation: Notice how there is nothing in the news about the sentencing or an appeal after the sentencing date of November 5th has passed? Hopefully, better news is ahead. God only knows with the way the justice system failed in the case of Tobin Kerns. They tried to make a poster boy out of Tobin in the name of a terrorist law and are going after the wrong guy for the plan. Throwing the baby out with the bath water is not the answer. They need to go after the person who planned the attack instead of avoiding a just resolution to those who had first hand knowledge of the plan in the meantime — while there is no word on a court date for Joe Nee’s trial yet as well. So much for conspiracy and bringing the person responsible to justice. The bathwater was dirty before Tobin got thrown in. Something isn’t right with the system somewhere. Perhaps it is because some people know people in the system…you know the guy who ran to police to put the blame on Tobin. T

On the other charge – anyone knows that Tobin never made any threat whatsoever either. For once in this case no news is good news, and maybe something is going to break with an appeal in the works for Tobin Kerns since the sentencing date has passed. The media was reporting the sentencing date of November 5th. Hopefully, some news will surface soon as that date has passed, with a better ending to this story…at least for the Kerns family.

This case has shown how REAL BULLIES work. Joe
Nee, Dan Farley and Joe Sullin did not go to the police to prevent a school shooting. They went to shift the blame on Toby because they were afraid of getting caught. Tim Cruz was hours away from granting Joe Nee immunity. Thank God someone in the Marshfield Police department did their job and arrested him
This has never been about school safety. It was politically driven from the day of Toby’s arrest.
This case is a disgrace and just reinforced to all the bullies who know people in powerful positions. “You can get away with anything if you are well connected”.T

Well said. By the way, the only mention anywhere of another court date — now that this whole situation has played out so unfairly for Tobin Kerns and is nothing but politically corrupt — is on Cruz’s website. Horrible as this situation for Tobin has been, it looks as though something is rescheduled for this Tuesday afternoon, 11/13. Let’s pray things don’t stay unfair and get even worse for him and kids like him than they already are, when anyone knows he’s not the guilty party. The best thing that could happen now for any just resolution in this case or others like it, is that change can be affected in the system that doesn’t work so far, and they send Tobin home or appeal the whole ting. Then, they should apply the law instead to the person who crafted the plan…but any news on Nee’s trial date is still unknown…

someone’s fate cannot be taken away, including my brother’s.
my brother is a free spirit & he was framed for plotting an attack columbine style on Marshfield High School.
my brother is my superman & he wouldn’t harm a fly.
we all have our own destinies & fates. we have our own control over them. not police or judges.
they can jail us, they can punish us, but they can’t take away someone’s destiny
