   His lawyer did not want to take the 20 year deal however, if he didn’t then the Feds were going to take it and he was going to get life. This sentence was for three victims. From what I understand there should be another sentencing in another juristiction. If he only gets 20 years for all of these girls, I will be pissed. I was told he will be in for life basically when all is done.

   I am glad that everyone is happy that Mr. Leonard got 20 yrs and not life……I am wondering what is happening to all those “girls” who he had sex with not once but 2-3 times. They met him and consented to sex. They were NOT raped. In fact I know for a fact that some of these girls met him FOR sex! So lifetime is a little extreme considering that you can rape &amp murder people and get off not spending your lifetime behind bars. In fact maybe mom &amp dad who don’t know how to supervise there child and who lets them dress like a 20 year old and not 15 should also be punished! Shame on them!!! I am a parent and I have monitored my daughter whenever she goes out the door and she dresses accordingly….and these girls should also have to have to consequences. No one deserves to spend that much time for this when they consented again and again. 15 yrs old in todays standards are old enough to know better than agree to meet a strange man!! Shame on them. I don’t have any pity for these “poor girls” sorry people wake up and take a look at these girls surfing on the net and hold them accountable too! PS I am not by anymeans condoning what David Leonard did.

   Sorry that you will be pissed…I didn’t hear rape. So no one should spend there lifetime behind bars. I can tell that you are a simpathetic mom and your heart goes out to this mans family!!! I will pray for you to have a more loving heart. How would you feel if this was your son! I am sure you would stop loving him…..Glad your not my mom

   I guess the last two commenters never heard of the term “statutory rape”. That means it’s illegal to have sex with underage girls even if they consent. Would any of you want this freak to have sex with your 15-year-old daughter?

   Maybe I am one of the victims moms. Did you also know that there were so many victims that they couldn’t even find them all, nor did they want to, because it would have taken so long. Did you know his computer was loaded with child porn. Did you know his victims ranged in age from 12-15. If you don’t know all the facts keep your mouth shut. As far as life, he will never serve life. He will actually serve 85% of his sentence. I do feel for his parents. It’s not there fault and he’s their child no matter what. It is a shame this man was in college etc. and could have had a decent life. Unfortunatly, he chose to screw with young girls. He did know their ages so don’t even try it. I also agree that some of the girls knowingly knew what they were doing. However, children can not consent to sex with an adult, thus statutory rape. I do hope he gets conseling though in prison, to bad he didn’t get it years ago.
