Edith Delgado found guilty

Teen convicted of misdemeanors in crash that killed Tongan royals:

For those of you who have been reading for a while, you may remember the story of Edith Delgado. She was the California teen who was on trial for killing members of the Tongan royal family in a car crash while she was allegedly street racing someone else.

She was convicted this past Thursday of three misdemeanor counts of vehicular manslaughter. She was found not guilty of felony charges of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.

Sentencing is scheduled for August 24th and the most she’s looking at is 3 years.

November 5, 2008 is the next court date for execution of sentence of Edith Delgado

“while allegedly street racing someone else.”

That was the story San Mateo County District Attorney James P. Fox, Steve Wagstaffe and DDA Aaron Fitzgerald told the public.
When it came time for trial 11 months later, the Judge ruled the word RACING could not be used in the trial.

The reason is simple. Edith Delgado was not racing anybody, and the DA knew that yet they chose to promote that story. The Ford Explorer had modified wheels and tires which stuck outside the fenders and made direct contact with the side of the white mustang as it sideswiped it
    at a speed of 70MPH.

This was a tragic auto accident only.
For some unexplained reason our DA and his officers chose to promote false allegations when they knew or should have known they had no evidence to support the charges.
