Touchy

Psychologist: Klang May Have Made Things Worse:

A principal hailed as a hero for rushing a student gunman and disarming him despite being fatally wounded may have sealed his own fate by touching the boy, a psychologist testified Thursday.

Eric Hainstock can’t control his emotional reactions to even the smallest slight and can’t think rationally when he’s attacked, juvenile psychologist Michael Caldwell said. The volatile 16-year-old has shown a pattern of growing more agitated when people touch him, Caldwell said.

And people want him to back out on the streets by the time he’s 25? That’s laughable. Hainstock is violent and unstable and I doubt very much that he’s capable of rehabilitation.

He gets twitchy if he is touched eh? The prison inmates are gonna LOVE that about him.

He will never end up in adult jail so I wouldn’t be worried if I was him. Like I said this is just like the Posey case, only an even more sympathetic defendant and less innocent victim (granted still pretty innocent but no one can be more innocent then a little girl.)

But I would so love to see you get raped, after making fun of James for his coping mechinism to getting raped as a child then thinking its funny that for other children to get raped. Seems that what goes around should come around.

He seems autistic or asperger’s to me (and don’t think his parents would want to get him treatment), autistics have a very black and white view of this world. I think it is too early to tell if he could be helped, we should at least try first, most autistics are not violent after all, though abuse like he suffered could drive anyone to this.

Posey killed his abusers. Hainstock shot his principal. Big difference. You were wrong about Kenny Bartley. You’ll be wrong about this too. Now even moreso because a jury is going to have Virginia Tech in mind when this case comes to trial.

Is Asperger’s and autism your excuse for everything.

Posey also killed his little sister, an innocent. Even more innocent then a principal who had legal responsibility to tell about the abuse and failed to do so. I am not sure that I was wrong about Kenneth, I never said I thought he would be sentenced as a juvenile, just that he should be. I in no way see Eric going to the jury as an adult, though I suppose I could be wrong.

Lol it would seem that way wouldn’t it. But you hear about a kid arguing about fairness, about a kid who hates being touched, and reacts to this extent, autism must come into play. I think the long term abuse he suffered played a bigger role though.

And for that reason Posey should have been sent to prison.

And for that reason Hainstock won’t be.

    Hi Trench,

Hey I live in Wisconsin. You’ve got it all wrong about Eric Hainstock. Yes try him as an adult, let him rot away for the rest of his life? What purpose is that going to serve? Will it bring John Klang back to his beloved family? No! Why are you advocating for trying this immature kid in an adult court of law? If we are going to try him as an adult should we not try his parents as well? Afterall, they were the “Frankenstein” that this kid became. The “system” failed this kid over and over again. The “system” continually allowed him to live with his biggest tormentor his dad! Maybe if we can give Eric Hainstock the help (through juvenile court) that he desparately needs, lessons can be learned. The murder of John Klang is horrible who, in their right mind, cannot feel for his beloved family left behind without their husband, father? It’s a tragedy all around but let’s, as a society, learn from this. Give our children help if they are being abused, give our school administrators the latitude to help “problem” children.

Eric Hainstock belongs in prison. He knows the difference between right and wrong. I do not agree though that he should be butt raped by other prisoners. In my opinion, I think the prison system needs to be reformed to guard against that. We should not let the prisoners run wild in these prisons.

Endersdragon, don’t use your aspergers/autism as a crutch for everything and an excuse for murder or other crimes. If you do that in a possible dystopian future anyone diagnosed with aspergers/autism could be locked up even though they did nothing wrong.

Like I said I don’t think it is an excuse for murder. No aspie/autie would ever kill without a bunch of other reasons. Hainstock had these reasons, he lived through a life of horrible horrible abuse. I am just thinking that if he is autistic his black and white view of the world along with all of his abuse caused him to kill.

Is there a genetic test for “Aspies/Auties”? I love that description- it makes them sound so cuddly.

If there is, and there is a predisposition to rape/murder/mayhem because they can’t control themselves, then we should start immediate prenatal testing. Any Auspie/Atties should be detected in the womb and moms may be able to abort them. Save the rest of society. And if it is hereditary, maybe we can wipe out this scourge within a generation.

No, there isn’t, and eugenics doesn’t tend to go down well with the voting public respectively.

The “system” ? The responsibilty lies with the parents, not the “system”. If you can’t even pin-point what the “system” is, you shouldn’t go blaming it. This is the REAL problem with our society in the US today, everyone relies on the government to take care of our social problems. Our Republic’s intention was for law, order, protection & basic infastruction. Not to dwell into our personal lives.

Not to mention someone on the autism spectrum is still much more likely to be the next Einstein then the next Cho. If people stop teasing autistics you probably get rid of Chos all together and educate them better in school they are much more likely to be the next Einstein (or Temple Grandin if your one of those that believe that Einstein was NT).

“someone on the autism spectrum is still much more likely to be the next Einstein then the next Cho”

Yet another of Bryan’s fantasies, tossed out to the public with no basis in fact.

I think the evidence at hand suggests that someone in the autism spectrum is much more likely to pee all over themselves and harbor gay fantasies that they are too timid to follow up on.

Or is that description just someone with fake autism? Yeah, that must be it.

Okay the parts of “the system” that are required to help Eric that never did are as followed. The teachers and principals at his schools that must have suspected abuse. Social workers and cops that need to follow up on any complaints of abuse. Psychological professionals that I am sure he must have seen. How many more parts of the system do you need?

I also talked about Temple Grandin or is she not autistic enough for you. While her field is not exactally physics she is near the tops of her field.

  20. BelchSpeak Avatar

There was an autistic kid in my neighborhood that put out the eyes of this squirrel with a sharp stick.

And that squirrel, though blind, would still find a nut. Also, the squirrel was housebroken and not gay.

You tell your stories and I tell mine. Mine are better.

Okay fine Temple Grandin is not autistic, she is just faking it. You caught me /end sarcasim (and yes autistics can and frequently do use sarcasim though we do have a hard time picking it up.)
