Virginia Killer’s Violent Writings:

As usual, The Smoking Gun is there. This time they have the disturbing creative writing of Virginia Tech gunman Cho Seung-Hui. A poorly written and bizarre piece entitled “Richard McBeef” about a 13-year-old kid who accuses his stepfather of murdering his biological father and making pedophilia-like advances on the boy. If you think this is some poor boy pouring his heart out guess again.

As my wife is fond of saying this kid had more issues than Reader’s Digest.

    For an english major that was a pretty poor piece. Calling him deeply troubled doesn’t even begin to cover it.

    I got a headache just trying to read that piece of crap he wrote. It sounded like it was written for a dub-over from a cheesy Chinese movie. An average high school kid could have written better.

    It’s too bad he didn’t just checkout early w/o taking all of those innocent people with him.

    I hope our government is giving serious thought to Fed-Exing Cho’s family back to Korea for that little spawn they created.

    This behavior is always a possibility for any of us that live our lives according to our own design and get submerged into our own obsessions.

    Our lives were meant to be meaningful beyond the pursuit of our own comfort and pleasures. We were supposed to be reconnecting back to our one source and Creator to be led into a life of purpose according to His already established design.

    A life of looking out after one another a life of caring about our home planet a selfless life dedicated to the good of others and to the uplifting of humans like this student. As humans, we probably failed to be of benefit to him when we had a chance.

    I’d like to see us allowing Christian fellowships on campus, and other groups like it, more freedom in expressing their ministry potential so that they perhaps could reach such troubled souls sooner with God’s love. This is not a call to pursuit religion but the one that was killed by it.

    Lets not remain strangers. -)

    This guy was too sensitive, and he was living in the wrong place.
    i’m sorry to say that the US will have to face much more killers like him in the future…That is so easy to see.

    America has two major problems, in my humble opinion, selling weapons, and legalizing porn. (And dont speech me with freedom etc…there is no freedom on an infinite scale, there is only loss of heart and mind, freedom of a man comes only when his limits are well established)
    That creates a society that walks on two levels….the good one, and the bad one…and even the ones who walk on the bad side are still “free” of charges regarding the law…this creates frustration, incomprehension, rebellion, etc…

    What profe180 said is so right.
    The best weapon of america against this crimes and against the loss of value and morality among the population is religion.
    Personally, i’m a muslim, i live in my own country which is morocco, in Casablanca exactly, and english is my third language. So forgive my linguistic mistakes.
    We also have to face terrorism in my own city, because some muslims aren’t happy with all the prostitution and the materialist money-making society that we are becoming too…

    Dont be sorry for the death people, as they are only major keys in god’s plan…be sorry for their families, and for the wounded ones.

    I wish we humans can learn to respect each other. And learn not to take what is not given to us by god. I also mostly hope we learn compassion, and not to make fun or laugh at anyone in trouble.
    I’m sorry that the youth have to face such a stupid and violent world today.
    but i think the solution is still in our hands.

    That was pure garbage…I hope he knows that his life was meaningless, the art he attempted to create was putrid, and he is the epitome of everything that is vile. I hate him to such a degree its unbearable and the fact that he is a talentless coward who murders groves of people because his girlfriend dumped his ugly ass makes me wish I had 10 minutes alone with him in a locked room with a baseball bat.

    It have been cleared that it was not his girlfriend and that the first victim had no relationship with Cho. What is the use of insulting him now? What is the use of hating him now? he is dead… and is now in hell for his crime. All this hate is exactly the kind of thing that lead to this event. For those who makes fun of others and are insensitive to others, this is their fruit. In other words let this be a lesson for all of us, to be sensitive and respectful to others. Don’t waste your emotion and time hating the killer, it would only be a burden for you. Also I’m sure if the killer had some real supporting friends, or someone who would be persistent enough to make him open up the outcome wouldn’t be this.

    To see peoples comments on this page just blows me away….. this is so horrible, i just lost some one soo unbelievably close to me so i know how it feels. it is the worst feeling ever and people are joking about it. so people call cho crazy then turn around and joke about the whole sitation…? it doesnt make sense to me.. is it really that hard to understand the hurt people are feeling right now. grow up and realize how serious this is. it’s obvious that cho had a PROBLEM but it doesnt make it ok hes sick, just thinking about him makes me sick and reading his play was ever worst. why didnt they do something about him a long time ago. its not fair for the victims that had so much going for them. all i can say is that i hope he burns in hell and the victims and their loved ones are in my prayers.

    Everyone who lost someone it’s sad yes but why should everyone else be sad with them? Just becase they lost someone? No. This is stupid to make such a big deal out of it. So what he killed people. Everyone’s making such a big deal about this but did you ever think it could’ve been worse? I think that you are all brain-washed by what the news puts out there. So what if he was disturbed?! Like you never met someone like that? Who was sad/depressed and suicidal? The government is covering up ALOT of truth behind every story that’s out there. And for all you know he could’ve just needed a person to reach out to him more than all the dumb fucks claimed they did. And the only real sad part about all it is that he brought South Korea in the publics eyes in a wrong way. For anyone who wants to blame the South Koreans for this can kiss my beautiful korean ass! And go kill themselves and rot in hell. .Because all people care about is the material things, to make sure your better than whoever. This worlds going to end in a blazing fire of chaos because majority of people in the world are nothing but selfish nobodies who think they know everything and will end up having a painful deaths. And just remember this right now as your living your life there could be an underground group of psychos planning to go on a world-wide killing spree and end every life in this world.

    Who are you to say how “we” or anyone is supposed to live their lives? Cho clearly had some problems and you and those like yourself take this tragedy to plug your religon? You make me sick! You do understand that not everyone and everything revolves around god, much less your god, right? We should allow Christian fellowships on campus? Part of this troubled soul’s rampage was due to the failings of religon. Perhaps he was a Christian and finally realized he’s been lied to his whole life, and that Christians have MURDERED more people in the name of God than any other group of people? Oh yeah, Christian fellowships will help though could’ve taught him to fake speaking in tongues and that evolution never occurred. Do people like you get excited when travesties such as this occur? Do you say, “Now I can convince more people to believe my religon?” Leave religon (your) out of it!

    Just letting everyone know that for just $2,000.00 I bought the rights to this play. I plan on making it into a feature film. Staring Jackie Chan as John, Steven Segal as Richard McBeef, and Jennifer Aniston as Sue. It should take about ten months for the “shooting”(nice joke huh?) of the film. We hope to have it released on 4-16-08 to honor those lost on that sad day.

    to kitty……matter of act to all that are taking this situation as a joke…be aware that it is (*NOT*) amusing or funny that someone was ill and turned to killing random victims…….no it would not b funny if u or a person u loved and cared about was shot because of a someon else’s issues. This situation is serious and need to open the eyes of everyone to the fact that violence is around and our actions could very well affect a person in the biggest way. i dont see anything to take lightly at all…it is the naive and ignorant actions of people that result in the unrational behavior of others.

    See this work for what it really is. a critism of american life. a failed jock flipping burgers. a discontented teen, a spoiling mother. its a satire of american life. its not supposed to be a movie or sitcom, just him expressing his anger towards the mundane, use-it-once-throw-it-away, diluted “american dream”. so what if he cowardly massacred people to commit suicide. america sponsors state terrorism, cowardly drops bombs on people without surface to air defenses. every diamond bought pays for another hand cut off in sierra leone. every gallon of petroleum you purchase pollutes our delicate environment and fuels another war somewhere else. WE ARE ALL UGLY MONSTERS! look the truth in the eyes. at least Cho had the balls to accept the monster in himself, and destroy monsters on his way out.

    What makes you think that the people Cho killed were monsters ? Far as I know they were kids, going to school to be something better than they were 4 days ago. They were taking the steps to be part of the world and he decided that it was his job to take them out of it.

    Look, it’s easy to “diagnose” his writing in hindsight. A healthy person is capable of writing things that seem demented. “The color purple” tells the story of a young girl who was raped. Given, it’s written much better, but the subject is the same. Should we put Alice Walker in jail for having written it?

    Even English professors are talking about censoring kid’s writing if it has adult themes. Are we all supposed to be writing teletubbies episodes?

    It just goes to show the massive censorship streak that runs through American society, even among the press and intelligentsia, in fact especially among those elements.

    For starters, things like porn, video games, music, TV, movies and real weapons are not the problem that caused the wires in this kids head to cross. Those are age old excuses for whatever ills the world has. Weapons and porno have been around for as long as humans have inhabited this planet. But this crap is not quite as old. Kids are out of control for one reason and one reason only… their parents are not doing their job.

    As far as the “need” for religion in the world… yeah, we have that already and you may not have noticed, but religion is the number one cause of crime, murder, suicide, bigotry, and general hatred. If there is anything this world needs, it is less religion.

    You are a Muslim, so you know what the radicals in your religion have done to make your faith look awful. Don’t feel bad, there are the same amount of jackasses in the other religions too. Everyone has an inherent believe in some type of god, but those who think that their god is the only god and that they have all the answers for the world are only going to tread on everyone else’s lives.

    I’m an 18 year old freshman in Indiana, The first thing i have to say is that I actually shivered when I saw the pictures of the students and professors killed. :'(

    You see, reading all of these posts has me worried about the state of this world. Are you all so blind as to not see that this has nothing to do with not being “happy to be an american” or to sympathizing with someone who for whatever reason committed a horrible crime? It’s not about flaming people’s points of view or homelands. The lack of any sort of decorum on here upsets me.

    Whether he was “disturbed” or a “coward” or anything else you may want to call him, he killed quite a few people. The fact is those people died, and they died a very violent and untimely death, and it’s very sad, but that’s no reason to lose your head. People are murdered every day, do you weep and gnash your teeth at every single life taken in this country? Why does it take nationwide media attention to grab your attention about lives lost?

    Those of you who lost friends and family, have my condolences. Know this, however, your anger at him does no good. He isn’t here to hear your angry words. He isn’t here to feel the lashings you’d give him, and he’s not here for you to murder yourself. Don’t waste your time and energy, by directing it at someone who cannot be effected by it.

Just because the kid had some terribly written plays that were a lil to “out of the norm” for the rest of you folk, doesnt mean thats the reason something was wrong with him. I’m so sick of you people making such a big deal out of EVERYTHING! Just because someone writes or thinks in a morbid way doesnt mean that thats the reason for when they go beserk. So who gives a fuck if the guy was twisted? His work was not the reason he did this. He obviously had some deep issues, no one does it anymore for nothing. I know all you jackasses will give me shit for standing up for him but there’s no reason to express such hatred for a man that most of you dont even know. You should be worried however that America’s schools have their heads too far up their asses to take the time and really see if someone is hurting and needs help.     – guns arent the cause of repeated crimes (while its so obvious that its so easy to kill with a gun)
    -Religion is a major cause of crime or suicide (while one of the firmest statements of the monotheist religions is : you shall not kill)

    Now let me tell you that the only way he could have killed that many people in 2 hours is by shooting with a gun. Do you think its easy to kill someone with a knife?
    No its not, u have to come close, to have a contact, what if the person is stronger and quicker than u…u could be disarmed easily…so its clear that guns play here a massive role in this massacre.
    Even with a bomb attached like “kamikazes” do…he couldnt have reach that level of life taken.
    Now u said porno existed since men have been on earth? That is absolutely wrong.
    Pornography came with video and camera techniques…and let me remind you of a famous movie about those two brothers, who were pioneers of porn and who made that “behind the green door” movie, and how they ended…

    Now for the exclusivity of god.
    If u’re a christian or a jew, and u believe in god, his messengers, his angels, his books, his judgement day, and u act for the good to be done, and forbid the bad to be done. Then my god is your god, knowing that i am a muslim.

    Now u said that some people are just ill and do these things…..well i know many talented people who committed suicide…a friend of mine did lately, for no appearant reason…he was handsome, issued from a rich family, working in the cinema business here in morocco….and yet he did it, he was only aged 26. I know his whole family very well, and i think nothing but the disgust of this new cynical and artificial modern world made him do this.
    A lot of reasonnable and talented people commit suicide : why did kurt cobain kill himself?
    he was a king who spitted on his own crown constantly imo…..but why?

    So dont tell me religion is the main cause of crimes just like everyone does, juste because its so easy to say it…and its a complete non-sense.

    I’ll tell u what are the real causes of crimes and suicides : Injustice, anger, misery, humiliation, greed, revenge, jealousy, and racism.
    Religion is all about dignity, and has nothing to do with this.

    A parent cant do everything for a kid.
    Even if he does, one day or another, this kid has to face the world alone.
    If this kid is not wisely and firmly armed (mentally) towards the injustice, the hypocrisy, and the easy going violence of this world….a mess will result…..and guns only make this mess bigger and easier.

    However, i understand ur statements jim, my elder brother has the exact same views as you…but u guys dont want to dig deeper enough imo…..and let me tell you i do not care how osama benladen made my religion “look like”.
    He has his life, i have mine.
    He is not a prophet.
    And i’ll always be proud to say i’m a muslim.

    almost 200 people died in bombings in iraq today…. but they are iraqis…not americans. 3411 american soldiers have died since the occupation of iraq by u.s. forces. how many iraqis have died? does anyone know? does anyone care? why is one death more important than another? then what is the big problem?

    in my opinion it’s grouping, pairing off. wether its through nationality, religion, race, political beliefs, or college cliques or or or. sure we can’t ever all agree on everything but we should learn that every life has value and to be kind to others even if they are or think or behave differently.

    I wouldn’t be proud to be anything in any country because this whole world is falling and spiraling down into nothing-ness. And I don’t idolize Cho but I think he did good in a sense to kill any rich kids cause ya know what? It’s them who help push kids like Cho to do things. I’m not saying they’re the total cause but part of it. I’m sure there’s more but the taunting I’m pretty sure went on probably sent him to break. And oh yeah I’d be more than glad to tell the families everything I wanna say and the what the truth is.

    I read the play he wrote and I would
    have to say it was pretty good.
    If it was not for the fact that he
    killed 30 people and shot himself.
    I would say he is a pretty cool guy.
    If he was still alive I think
    I could find myself hanging out
    with him. I honestly think he could
    have been an awesome horror movie
    writer. Except I would of gotten rid
    of the chainsaw. It’s to Chainsaw
    Massacureish. It would of been
    wiser to use a shot gun.
    It’s a common house hold protection
    item for the suburbs.

    I see this page and I feel numb. I read your comments and I simply can do nothing but stare in utter disbelief. Can some of you people actually understand the things you are typing right now? There are some right opinions when it comes to others in the world who should be remembered and a whole lot of wrongs on this page for thinking that these things that happened were for some twisted good. I simply want to say that if you are someone who actually has the gall to advocate these killings, then keep your opinions to yourself. Its apparent that no one wants to hear your disturbing remarks on the matter. It has only been 4 days since this whole tragedy has happened! At least give those people who were slain some peace. Don’t spit on their memory with you hate talk. Its still too soon to be so candid and demeaning towards them and their survived loved ones.

    first we would have to agree that he actually killed himself. I for one do not believe that a person can shoot themselves with a shotgun and be found with his hand still on the trigger. The recall alone would rip the thing out of his hand… never mind the “reach” factor.
    But to answer your question, depression and mental illness often plague people. Those who do kill themselves are often found to have had issues of the ilk. Many of them seem like normal people who go through their regular day to day lives without any real problems, but they perceive things far worse than what they are. Even if they only kill themselves, they are still sick. Sometimes, those people just can (or wont) be helped. It is sad, but that is just how it is.

    So dont tell me religion is the main cause of crimes just like everyone does, juste because its so easy to say it…and its a complete non-sense.

    i think what that cho guy did was good, he killed many innocent people, but the teachers will be afraid to abuse the student in future. i read what he wrote, he said he is sacrificing himself for all the weak and helpless guys. and its true. first i thought he was a monster but after i read what he wrote i can see the benefit of what he did. you see in our world people only respect one thing — strength. if you are big and tall everyone respect you, if you are small everyone treats you like shit. cho showed that small guys can turn nasty if pushed too far, and that will make people afraid to pick on small guys, especially students. innocent people died, that’s unfortunate. but the same thing happens in a war, innocent die in order to correct some other evil. cho was kicked out of poetry and literature class for his writing, he was a shy guy so when he tried to hit on a couple girls in a somewhat clumsy way they ratted on him. girls don’t have the guts to say “i am not interested, but thank you for asking” to guys they find unattractive, instead they pretend they like them, flirt with them, than behind their back they rat on them and backstab them. and misandrist men are all to happy carrying out their dirty duties falsely accusing a guy of harassment. sex discriminates against the ugly. they don’t realize that ugly guys are people too who also deserve to have fun and be happy. taking a kinder and gentler attitude towards all humankind might serve these pampered women with low self-esteem well. its easy to ridicule men, to blame men, to ignore men. but it is not easy to be a man. especially an ugly short man like cho. society prepares the crime the criminal commits it.

    feminists and men who support gender biased, sexist, anti-male laws including the school system, police, justice system, and government are responsible for emasculation of men, which is the cause of the social anxiety among young men like cho. feminists would rather nitpick and close down a corporation which is supporting thousands of women who feed their babies because some guy hang a victoria’s secret angel over the time clock. its time women got over themselves and men stopped impersonating sentimental buffoons catering to their vile whims.

    as for the media, its common sense that by rewarding cho with what he was aiming for – publicity they are sending the message that whoever kills a lot of people will be rewarded with publicity. why stop there? announce a bloody reward for the families of dead serial killers so you can get your bloody ratings. what do you expect from a society which is so utterly lacking in integrity? you are worse than the cho dude, you may be snug and secure behind your desks, but you are encouraging murder.

    wow. i agreed with your reply up until that last very racist statement. it should be obvious from his previous psychotherapy, antidepressant use, and the ramblings in his video manifesto and writings that this is a seriously mentally ill individual. could part of it be because of his upbringing? possibly. but from their released statement it appears that the family is as surprised, shocked, and in grief for the victims as much as all others involved. and often in cases of mental illness, their psychoses have little to nothing to do with their upbringing. racism is exactly that – assuming that all people of one ethnicity will act in the same manner as one bad apple

    The parents are not supposed to represent the society, they are supposed to represent their home. That is where a child’s first learning comes from and that is where a child is supposed to be reared. Entertainment will only lead to harm if the parents are using it as a babysitter. People aren’t supposed to “fit in” they are supposed to make an example. If the parents teach their kids to be good people, the kids will take that teaching to one another. They will tease each other as kids do, but they will take it with a grain of salt instead of putting bullets in their peers. Thats how things worked when I was a kid and for eons before me.

    I am sorry about your friend, I truly am, but if he had all those good things and still wished to kill himself… he was sick. I don’t mean in the sense like Cho was, but something made him not want to live anymore and depression tends to lead people down that road. Believe me, I know how it can crush your heart even when your heart is filled with love. At 32 years old, I still wish for my own death half the time, and I have a wonderful woman who loves me with all her heart, my own business as a skilled carpenter and people all around me who obviously care about my well being… but when the darkness hits me, it hits hard. Yo are right, there is a sickness in this world that is smothered in greed, but that isn’t what makes people kill themselves. If you don’t understand it, you are a lucky person.
