  • Ex-Mountie gets one day in jail

Former Mountie cops plea One day in jail for trying to lure underage girls using Internet:

A while ago I posted about former Canadian Mountie Adam Jonathan Clarke. He was arrested for trying to lure teen girls for sex over Nexopia. Last week he pleaded guilty to two counts of communicating to lure a child under age 18. What sentence did he receive? A day in jail.

I guess the Mounties always get their man but the courts set them free.

New York predator gets 10 years

Batavia sex offender guilty, gets 10 years:

48-year-old Gregory Mexin of Batavia, New York, was sentenced to 10 years behind bars after pleading guilty to indecent solicitation of a child, failure to notify police of a change of address while a registered sex offender and possession of child pornography. It seems Mr. Mexin is a well-rounded pedophile. Mexin was arrested back in December for soliciting sex from a 14-year-old girl who was actually an undercover cop. Do these perverts not watch Dateline?

Thanks to Tim, we have Mexin’s MySpace. Under “Who I’d like to meet” Mexin put “Women between 38 and 55 for dating, possible relationships or I am open to whatever the woman has in mind.” Apparently, by 38 to 55 he meant inches tall.

  • Boomalicious IV

    Boomalicious IV

More girls linked to sex abuse suspect:

It seems one of our favorite new fiends, Joseph Polk, aka Boomalicious, may have some more skeletons in his closet. Not only did he allegedly pose as a teenage boy on MySpace to contact underage girls, it seems that he may have done it on Tagged.com as well. On his Tagged.com profile, Polk had 30 friends listed, all under the age of 16. So investigators believe there still may be more victims.

But what makes this article so good is Polk’s line of defense.

Polk denies he had any sexual contact with minors and claims he set up the accounts to research Internet stalkers, said his attorney, Phil Studenberg.

What a coincidence that he just happens to be accused of inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old girl.

Thanks to Pilar for the link.

  • Wentworth pleads guilty

    Wentworth pleads guilty

Naperville Man Pleads Guilty In MySpace Sex Abuse:

John Wentworth, who I posted about here, has pleaded guilty to felony charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and indecent solicitation of a child.

Unfortunately, the most he’s looking at is seven years in prison.

  • Patrick Lee Kenney

    Patrick Lee Kenney

Man arrested after MySpace exchanges with girl:

25-year-old Patrick Lee Kenney of Portland, Oregon was arrested for trying to meet a 12-year-old from Klamath Falls for sex. The girl’s mother found explicit messages and photos from Kenney.

She then called the police, who posed as the girl and continued to talk to Kenney. Turns out Kenney has family in Klamath Falls and asked to meet the girl. You know what happens next.

Police were waiting for him and arrested him. He tried the “she said she was 15” defense. Oregon age of consent is 18.

I found a couple of MySpaces that fit the bill, one is set to private and one is by an obvious horndog. However, without a pic or mugshot, I can’t narrow them down. Hell, they both might be his but without a pic to compare with I can’t post either.

Thanks to Pilar for the link.

UPDATE: One of the commenters below says that this is Kenney’s MySpace.

  • Facebook’s first predator

    Facebook’s first predator

    Online social site defends security:

Facebook has its first predator. That must be a proud title to have. 🙄 Anyway, his name is Michael Macalindong, and he was arrested for trying to lure a 15-year-old boy to his home for sex. According to Facebook, Macalindong stole the Facebook account of a high school girl. Then it gets disturbing.

Authorities said Macalindong–posing as a girl–told the teen that for him to have sex with her, he had to first have sex with her male friend and have it taped so she could watch. In the ruse, Macalindong was the male friend, authorities said.

Officials said Macalindong videotaped the first sexual encounter at his apartment in May. There were at least two more meetings at the home, Patricia Fix, head of the Lake County state’s attorney’s cyber-crimes unit, said.

When the teen refused to meet again in January, Macalindong threatened to post the videos on the Internet unless he was paid $200, authorities said. The teen contacted police.

Last week, a Lake County investigator went online posing as the teen and arranged a meeting in Wilmette, officials said. Macalindong arrived about an hour later and was arrested.

Before I get to the linky goodness, let me give the male teens out there some advice. No girl will have sex with you if you’ll have sex with her male friend. And trust me, there is no girl out there that’s worth doing that for. No offense to any alternative lifestyle readers. It’s just not my bag.

Anyway, I couldn’t find Macalindong’s (nice name by the way) Facebook, but I was able to find Macalindong’s MySpace. Of course, it’s been set to private.

    Macalindong has had other victims.

Investigators found a scanned image of the teen’s identification card along with lewd images and videos on his laptop computer, Fix said.

Investigators also found other scanned ID cards and photos of Macalindong engaged in sexual activity with other teens, authorities said. Macalindong has been charged with six counts of producing child pornography, one count of indecent solicitation of a minor, one count of intimidation and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

  • Another Mass. man busted on craigslist

Another Mass. man busted on craigslist

Man Accused Of Trying To Lure Teen For Sex:

Another guy from Massachusetts was allegedly caught soliciting underage sex on craigslist. This time it’s married father of two, Fred Newhall III of Uxbridge. He posted an ad looking for a teenage “house cleaner”. What he ended up getting was Auburn Police Detective James Lyman posing as a 15-year-old girl.

“He gave me a price list. If you clean, you get this. If there’s light touching, that’s how much you get. Right up to full contact being $500 a day,” Lyman said.

Lyman said Newhall made the ultimate promise.

“He told her if she was submissive and did everything he told her, he’d buy her a new vehicle for her birthday,” Auburn Police Chief Andrew Sluckis.

Newhall arranged for a meeting with the girl at a house in Auburn. But when he got there, he didn’t find a 15-year-old girl; he met a police officer.

“He had alcohol and he had some sort of massage oil. He knew what he was going to do,” Lyman said.

Realizing the sting, Newhall allegedly pushed the police officer and ran. It took seven police officers to catch and handcuff him.

I have no sympathy for scumbags like this. Especially ones that are supposed to be fathers.

  • Louisiana MySpace sting

    Louisiana MySpace sting

    Santa’s Helpers child predator operation:

This is a story about an internet sting that took place recently in Louisiana.

In Acadia Myspace.com helped the Acadia parish sheriff’s department and the Attorney General’s office take alleged child predators off the street.

Christopher Patton, Mark Whitney, Troy Kimble, and Robert Brenneman were arrested during the sting, which involved setting up fake Myspace profiles of underage girls to which the suspects allegedly responded and set up meetings.

“There are a number of statutes that play. The person who exposes himself on his webcam has violated the law. The person who arranges to meet a child for sex is breaking the law. The person who asks for child porn has violated the law. The typical has violated all three.

And it just wouldn’t be Christmas without the MySpace profiles of at least some of the suspects.

I was able to find the MySpaces of Patton, Kimble, and Brenneman.

Thanks to Kirk M. for the tip.

  • Jay Coffield sentenced

    Jay Coffield sentenced

    MySpace Predator Sentenced:

I originally posted about Jay Coffield here.

JOLIET, Ill. — A man who used the popular, youth-oriented MySpace.com Web site to arrange a sexual tryst with an underage Naperville girl has been sentenced to two years and two months in prison for that crime.

Will County Circuit Court Judge Daniel Rozak meted out the prison term to Jay D. Coffield, 44, of Morris, state’s attorney James Glasgow confirmed Monday in a written statement.

Coffield pleaded guilty Friday to a felony charge of indecent solicitation of a child. The allegation stemmed from his efforts earlier this year to arrange a sexual rendezvous with a 14-year-old Naperville girl.

The girl’s 21-year-old cousin contacted Naperville police Detective Rich Wistocki on May 22, after discovering “inappropriate comments” directed at the teenager on the girl’s MySpace page, Glasgow said.

“Taking a page from the online watchdog group Perverted Justice, this amateur sleuth set up her own undercover account online and began talking to Coffield online,” Glasgow said of the girl’s cousin.

She then turned her account and other information over to Wistocki, the Naperville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Unit investigator, Glasgow said.

Wistocki, posing as the teenager, continued corresponding with Coffield, who used the MySpace screen name of Mistercee42.

Coffield ultimately suggested the girl meet him the evening of June 9 in a coffee shop near 95th Street and Route 59 on Naperville’s far southwest side. He indicated he would then take her to DuPage River Park, near Royce Road and Naper Boulevard on the city’s far southeast side, where they would have sex, police said in June.

Coffield arrived at the coffee shop around 6:15 p.m. and was arrested immediately. Coffield, who had no criminal record at the time, told police it was the first time he had tried to arrange a meeting with a girl he had chatted with over the Internet.

“No longer an anonymous Internet surfer looking for vulnerable children, Jay Coffield now will have a public prison sentence and his face online among other Illinois registered sex offenders,” Glasgow said.

“Instead of just picking up the pieces after a child has been violated, we were able to expose and punish a predator before a child’s life was tragically affected.”

  • Mountie busted for luring kids online

Mountie busted for luring kids online

    Trial date set for cop:

A two-day trial has been set for the former Langley RCMP officer accused in attempting to lure children through the popular teen website, Nexopia.

Adam Johnathon Clarke will stand trial on two counts of child luring on June 21 and 22, 2007.

The 23-year-old former officer, who now lives in Newfoundland, was charged on May 19, 2006 after a three-month investigation.

Clarke had allegedly been using one of the Langley Community Police Office’s computers to access the Internet and browse the site.

The Integrated Internet Child Exploitation Unit (IICE) conducted the investigation in relation to viewing and possession of child pornography, and arrested him on June 5.

According to Cpl. Diane Blain, it is believed that there are two victims involved.

I guess in this case, RCMP stands for Really Creepy Mangy Pedophile.

No disrespect intended to the real men and women of the RMCP.
