More arrests sought in Dunbar Village gang rape case:

Police have asked the State Attorney’s Office to issue arrest warrants for two more juveniles in the notorious Dunbar Village rape case, where a mother and son were brutalized for hours, West Palm Beach police said Friday.

One of the four teens arrested, Jakaris Taylor, accepted a plea deal that required his testimony. He identified two other juvenile defendants and police filed the charges with the State Attorney’s Office.

Hopefully, those arrest warrants will be issued and all scumbags involved will be brought to justice.

Sharpton earns the wrath of bloggers that matter

Women not tolerating Sharpton’s rape rant:

It seems that I’m not the only one who found Al Sharpton’s comments on the Dunbar Village rape suspects distasteful.

It seems that Sharpton has also gotten on the bad side of a group of Black female bloggers.

“Sharpton bills himself as a spokesman for the voiceless,” wrote Tonyaa Weathersbee in BlackAmericaWeb.com “Too bad this time he decided to lend his voice to the ones who needed it the least – and guarantee that more raped black women will continue to suffer in silence.”

Remember, Al Sharpton thinks it’s a disgrace that basically a gang who raped a woman and forced her to have sex with her 12-year-old son should be out on bail because some white teens from Boca Raton that raped two girls after getting them drunk are out.

“Am I the only one that sees some GLARING DISTINCTIONS in these two cases that have absolutely nothing to do with the race of the defendants or am I missing something?” wrote blogger Arlene Fenton.

Fenton organized a letter-writing campaign against the local NAACP, Sharpton and his National Action Network for using the west Boca case to make victims of the Dunbar Village teenagers.

“It is breathtaking that the National Action Network brain trust can’t seem to comprehend the difference between a home invasion by masked gunmen who torture, rape, sodomize, cut, burn, and beat their victims for THREE HOURS and culminate the event with crime against nature committed against a 12-year-old child … and a case involving NONE of those facts,” Fenton wrote.

Of course, being the politician that he is, Sharpton is backpedaling…

Sharpton, who spoke with Fenton and Weathersbee on his radio show this week, now claims he never wanted the Dunbar rape suspects to be free pending trial.

Well, at least some bloggers got to Sharpton, even if it wasn’t this northern white boy. Ladies, you have my sincere thanks.

  • Sharpton on Dunbar Village suspects

    Sharpton on Dunbar Village suspects

Sharpton says Dunbar Village defendants being treated unfairly:

I normally don’t blog political anymore. I got burnt out on politics during the ’04 election period. The political discussion during that time became reduced to a shouting match between all parties, and actual discourse was thrown out the window. However, I will blog about the politics of crime if I’m so moved. It took the Reverend Al Sharpton to move me to blog about the subject I find so distasteful.

When Rev. Sharpton isn’t playing the race card, he actually does do some good for the black community at large. I specifically remember Rev. Sharpton being on America’s Most Wanted trying to help find the killer of Chanel Petro Nixon. So not all of Sharpton’s antics are that bad.

But this one is. Sharpton is saying that the suspects in the Dunbar Village gang rape are being unfairly treated since they’ve been held with no bond. Meanwhile, the suspects from the Boca Raton gang rape are free on bond.

On one hand, I agree with the Reverend Sharpton that the Boca teens should be held with no bond. On the other hand, Rev. Sharpton is picking the wrong example to use to make his point.

In the Dunbar case, a group of teens stormed the victim’s place of residence, robbed her, raped her and then forced her to have sex with her own son.

In the Boca case, some teens got some girls drunk to the point of passing out and then took advantage of them.

The severity of the Dunbar Village case is what’s keeping those suspects behind bars, not their skin color.

Dunbar rape suspect pleads guilty, gets 20 years:

Well, I knew it was only a matter of time before one of the suspects in the horrendous Dunbar Village gang rape case would turn on his homeboys.

16-year-old Jakaris Taylor pleaded guilty to charges of burglary and two counts of armed sexual battery. To refresh your memory, Taylor and his cohorts are accused of storming the apartment of a woman and her son, gang-raped the woman and forced her to have sex with her son.

In the plea, Taylor was sentenced to 20 years behind bars, sparing him three consecutive life sentences. Part of the plea requires him to testify against the other suspects.

    More on accused craigslist rapist

Tigard man in court accused of Craigslist rapes:

In one of the posts, I made about accused craigslist rapist Ronald M. Leistiko, a commenter asked what kind of ad was Leistiko posting to lure these women to his house.

According to the article, he wasn’t posting ads but responding to ads…

Leistiko allegedly answered ads on Craigslist along with other Internet sites, which offered services such as lingerie modeling and escort service.

That makes this case even more disturbing, since one of his victims was 14.

Police search for more victims of alleged Craigslist attacker:

Oregon police are looking to the public’s help in the case against 52-year-old Ronald M. Leistiko. He’s the Tigard, Oregon man accused of luring girls and women to his house via craigslist and raping them.

Investigators say Leistiko targeted escorts and strippers he met on Craigslist. The victims ranged in age from 14 to 35, police said.

He’s charged with assaulting three women, but an undercover officer believes there are likely dozens more who are afraid to call police.

Police say they won’t charge admitted prostitutes if they come forward to report they were raped.

Anyone who may have information or possible involvement is urged to contact either Portland Police Bureau Detective C. Waddell at (503) 823-0697 or Officer M. Burkeen at (503) 823-0424.

In addition, callers can also contact Tigard Police Detective Kevin Dresser at (503) 718-2576.

Police: Man Used Craigslist To Lure Girls:

52-year-old Ronald Leistiko of Tigard, Oregon is under arrest for a slew of charges all stemming from accounts that say he used craigslist to lure girls and women, some as young as 14, to his home, in some cases, assaulting them.

Leistiko was booked into the Washington County Jail on a laundry list of charges. He could be charged with rape, kidnap, prostitution, sex abuse, menacing, attempted rape, strangulation and unlawful sexual penetration.

Investigators believe there may be other unreported incidents that have happened at Leistiko’s home.

Anyone with information is asked to call 503-823-0697, 503-823-0424 or 503-718-2576.

Be vigilant ladies. I would not recommend using craigslist for dates. This is not the first story I’ve posted about someone using craigslist to lure someone to their home.

  • Andre Johnson sentenced

    Andre Johnson sentenced

Man guilty of sex with teen met on MySpace loses bid for lenience in Lake County court:

Back in July, I posted about Andre Johnson. He’s a 30-year-old man from Ohio that was on parole for the rape of a 14-year-old girl when he raped another 14-year-old girl. Johnson had met his most recent victim through the girl’s sister but maintained a relationship with her on MySpace.

Now he’s been sentenced. He has to serve out the remainder of his original sentence, and a judge tacked 8 years on to that for his most recent crime.

During Thursday’s hearing, Johnson asked the judge to give him a break. Judge Lucci told Johnson he had already been given that chance when he was paroled on the first crime.

I love how multiple offenders think they deserve a break.

Anyway, Johnson will also be a lifelong registered sex offender.

    Police seek rape clues:

Let me preface this by saying that this was sent to me by a professional escort.

Anaheim police arrested Waymon Livingston, 24, of Stanton, charging him with murder and raping three women.

The murder charge includes a special circumstance for rape, authorities said.

Authorities believe he could be connected to other assaults and are appealing to the public to step forward with information.

One woman was raped Aug. 21, 2005 in an Anaheim parking lot, police said. Then another woman was raped in a Stanton hotel room Oct. 25, 2006. The Costa Mesa assault happened May 7, according to authorities.

Livingston contacted a masseuse through Craigslist for a private session at the Best Western on Newport Boulevard, Costa Mesa Sgt. Bryan Glass said. During the session, Livingston propositioned the woman for sex and she refused.

Livingston allegedly strangled the woman until she passed out, Glass said. When she woke up hours later she went to Fountain Valley Hospital, Glass said.

“We collected DNA from her person and crime scene and turned it into the crime lab,” but investigators didn’t make the connection until months later, Glass said.

After Livingston was arrested in connection with the three rapes, investigators were able to link him to the Sept. 9 slaying in Anaheim of Melissa Ann Gonzalez, 21, of Sacramento, through DNA evidence, authorities said.

Like I’ve pointed out before, there’s immense danger lurking on both sides of the craigslist erotic services section.

Let me wrap this up with what the escort sent me in her e-mail.

    Hi,

i thought you might be interested in this link for your blog. Recently apprehended, this guy was targeting working girls in Orange County California and one of his methods in finding them was though craigslist (he had others).

this guy attacked many other girls who are not listed in the article and it personally touched my life.

    Stay safe out there, ladies.

  • Werribee teens convicted

    Werribee teens convicted

Seven convicted over Werribee sex DVD assault:

Seven teens were convicted over the infamous Werribee, Australia rape DVD because let’s face it, it was nothing short of rape.

The group took her to nearby river parkland where they began filming their activity, surrounding her in a circle and chanting “The Victim” – the title of the segment in which she featured on the DVD.

The youths cheered and chanted as she was urinated on, set alight, poked with sticks and made to perform sex acts.

Her clothes are taken and thrown in muddy water with two boys using her mascara to scrawl the title of the movie across her chest.

You’d think they’d receive jail time, but that’s what we get for thinkin’.

Of the eight who pleaded guilty six were placed on strict youth supervision orders for up to 18 months and two on year-long probation.

All will be required to attend a counseling program for young sex offenders.

I don’t know what it’s like in Australia, but here in The States, we all know how well counseling works. It rarely does. I’m sure these kids will be back in trouble with the law before we know it.

Thanks to Alan for the link.
