  • Casey Anthony gets sued and I called it

Woman named Zenaida Gonzalez suing Casey Anthony:

I knew I said I wouldn’t post about the Casey Anthony circus anymore but this story was too good to pass up.

Remember how Casey Anthony maintained that the last person she saw Caylee with was a baby sitter named Zenaida Gonzalez? At the time she and Cindy Anthony kept saying that I said that they better be careful because someone with that name is likely to sue them. Behold my prognostic powers…

If it turns out that Casey was the only one responsible for Caylee’s disappearance Cindy is probably going to be sued by every Zenaida Gonzalezes in Florida or at least have a restraining order slapped on her.

So it was written, so it has come to pass…more or less.

A woman caught up in the case of missing 3-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony is suing the girl’s mother saying she was defamed, her lawyer confirmed this evening.

Zenaida Gonzalez, 37, of Kissimmee, was falsely named by Caylee’s mother as the missing girl’s babysitter, even though they’ve never met. Mother Casey Anthony said she last saw her daughter with a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez in mid-June. Caylee was reported missing in July.

Since news of the missing girl broke, the Kissimmee woman has been threatened, Morgan said, and people nationwide consider her a suspect in the case.

Really? There are people still out there that think Casey Anthony is innocent. Then again there are people who believe Elvis is still alive.

Anyway, I hope Ms. Gonzalez gets a shit ton of money out of this.

Sweet Lady Justice, let’s make out.

  • The latest on Giovanni Gonzalez

Authorities appeal again for help in finding missing Lynn boy:

Law enforcement officials have once again appealed to the public for information regarding the disappearance of Giovanni Gonzalez.

Ernesto Gonzalez Jr., Giovanni’s father, had a pre-trial hearing this morning. He wasn’t man enough to actually appear in court.

The only new information that has come out recently from the investigation is that police have eliminated the possibility that Giovanni is in Puerto Rico.

  • Casey Anthony’s Facebook

Casey Anthony has hundreds of online supporters:

If you haven’t heard about Casey Anthony you’ve been living under a rock you can catch up here.

Long story short she’s a person of interest in the death of her own daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony. Anybody with half a brain thinks that she had something to with her daughter’s death even though Caylee hasn’t been found yet.

Those without half a brain have become Casey Anthony’s Facebook friend…

Casey’s Facebook page is dedicated it to her missing 3-year-old daughter Caylee. On Facebook Casey has a growing list of friends leaving messages of support. She is getting lots of support from strangers from Leesburg to London.

Amanda wrote: “Keep your head up mom…I’ve been in your shoes before. It’s not the best place to be behind the pointed finger….There is a rainbow after the storm.”

Maegyn from Michigan wrote…”There is not a night that I don’t pray that when I wake see that she was brought homes safe and sound…”

It does say at the top of Casey’s pages that the site that says only positive comments. The site is being monitored and her friends from around the world seem to respect that.

According to the report from FOX 35 in Florida, Casey Anthony has approximately 650 Facebook friends. That’s 650 people who probably think that the word ‘gullible’ is not in the dictionary.

  • Ernesto Gonzalez may have had an accomplice

Accomplice May Have Helped Kidnap Giovanni:

Police in Lynn, Mass. are looking into the possibility that Ernesto Gonzalez had an accomplice in the disappearance of his son Giovanni Gonzalez.

They are also saying that since Ernesto Gonzalez had no transportation of his own they’re looking into public transportation for clues.

Investigators are also saying that there’s no reason to believe that Giovanni is dead.

I wish I was that optimistic.

Police urge anyone with information about Giovanni’s whereabouts to contact Lynn police at 781-595-2000.

  • The search for Giovanni Gonzalez continues

Clear Channel Donates Billboard In Lynn Boy Search:

I’ll get to Clear Channel in a second. First, investigators have said they are going to search a new area for Giovanni Gonzalez. They haven’t said what the new area will be or whether or not they’ve received any new information. Ernesto Gonzalez, Giovanni’s father, still sits in jail refusing to give police any information.

Now on to Clear Channel. They’re donating a billboard that will contain pictures of Giovanni and Ernesto Gonzalez and contact information in case any one has seen him. The billboard will be in Lynn, Mass. where Giovanni disappeared from.

In case anyone reading this blog may have actually seen Giovanni or has any information you can contact Lynn police at 781-595-2000.

  • Other evidence from Ernesto Gonzalez’s home

Police plot strategy in hunt for boy:

Just wanted to post something I had missed previously about the case of Giovanni Gonzalez.

I previously posted about the bloody mop found in Ernesto Gonzalez’s residence. What I neglected to post is that other evidence taken from there were cleaner, a knife, and lighter fluid.

    That is very foreboding.

    ‘Most Wanted’ joins Giovanni search:

Giovanni Gonzalez will be featured on this week’s episode of America’s Most Wanted during their missing person’s segment.

“We had a huge amount of people to choose from. This one was a no-brainer. We have a missing child. We need information,” said Most Wanted correspondent Jon Leiberman Wednesday.

Hopefully, this will help in bringing him home.

  • AMW on Giovanni Gonzalez

    amw_logo

As much as I’ve been complaining that the national media has not been paying any attention to the Giovanni Gonzalez story I received an e-mail today that restored my faith in humanity. The one national media outlet that is actually doing what it can for Giovanni is America’s Most Wanted. They have an extensive profile of the situation on their website.

Every week I and a lot of other crime bloggers receive an e-mail letting us know what’s on AMW that week. Hopefully, they’ll have Giovanni’s story featured on this week’s episode.

  • The latest on Giovanni Gonzalez

Lynn police scour evidence in disappearance of Giovanni Gonzalez:

Unfortunately, police have come up empty so far in their search for Giovanni Gonzalez. Police say that they are scaling back on the physical search for Giovanni and are refocusing on the evidence they have so far.

Between this and the search of the cemetery, I don’t have high hopes at this point.

However, Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett says that he is optimistic that Giovanni is still alive. He also announced that lab results from the bloody mop are back but he couldn’t comment on the results at this time.

  • Cemetery searched for Giovanni Gonzalez

Lynn’s Pine Grove Cemetery targeted in search for missing boy:

Yesterday Mass. State Police and police from Lynn, Mass. scoured Pine Grove Cemetery looking for missing 5-year-old Giovanni Gonzalez.

Cadaver dogs were used but police insist that this was a search and rescue mission and not a recovery mission.

Giovanni’s story may even be featured on America’s Most Wanted this week.
