  • Boston juvenile prostitute

    Link (Second story down)

A Braintree man is in hot water after allegedly pimping a young girl on the Internet, police say.

According to the police report, the girl advertised herself as a prostitute on Craigslist. Police set up a sting to apprehend her.

A plainclothes cop met the girl on West Seventh Street Tuesday morning, and noticed she was accompanied by two males who waited for her in a car.

The juvenile allegedly offered to provide sex to an undercover officer for $175. After agreeing to the price, the cop placed the girl under arrest for prostitution while nearby cops confronted her companions.

Joseph Venezia of Braintree was charged with deriving support from prostitution, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and driving with a suspended license.

Damon Isles of Charlestown, the passenger, was arrested on drug charges, police said.

But it’s a victimless crime and these girls want to be prostitutes right? Give me a break.

  • Another Mass. man busted on craigslist

Another Mass. man busted on craigslist

Man Accused Of Trying To Lure Teen For Sex:

Another guy from Massachusetts was allegedly caught soliciting underage sex on craigslist. This time it’s married father of two, Fred Newhall III of Uxbridge. He posted an ad looking for a teenage “house cleaner”. What he ended up getting was Auburn Police Detective James Lyman posing as a 15-year-old girl.

“He gave me a price list. If you clean, you get this. If there’s light touching, that’s how much you get. Right up to full contact being $500 a day,” Lyman said.

Lyman said Newhall made the ultimate promise.

“He told her if she was submissive and did everything he told her, he’d buy her a new vehicle for her birthday,” Auburn Police Chief Andrew Sluckis.

Newhall arranged for a meeting with the girl at a house in Auburn. But when he got there, he didn’t find a 15-year-old girl; he met a police officer.

“He had alcohol and he had some sort of massage oil. He knew what he was going to do,” Lyman said.

Realizing the sting, Newhall allegedly pushed the police officer and ran. It took seven police officers to catch and handcuff him.

I have no sympathy for scumbags like this. Especially ones that are supposed to be fathers.

  • Attention citizens of Massachusetts

    Attention citizens of Massachusetts

Or, as I like to call them, Massholes. (Relax, I’m just kidding.)

Anyway, your Attorney General Tom Reilly is calling on MySpace to beef up their security when it comes to minors. He’s making some good and some not so good requests.

First, he wants MySpace to change its minimum user age to 18. I have no problem with that, but he doesn’t say how MySpace should do that. I suggest credit card number validations. That won’t keep every minor out, but it will keep most of them out.

He also wants every MySpace page equipped with a “Report Inappropriate Content” link. That’s actually a great idea.

He wants MySpace to respond to all reports of inappropriate content within 24 hours and significantly increase the number of employees who review images and content. Sounds reasonable. Newscorp does have assloads of cash.

He wants MySpace to immediately delete any profiles that violate MySpace’s Terms of Use Agreement and permanently banning those members from using the site. I also agree with this because MySpace is notoriously bad at enforcing their TOS. Banning members is harder, though. How do you ban a member from getting another account?

He wants MySpace to immediately remove all advertisements and other MySpace-sponsored content that are inappropriate for children. Yeah, that’ll happen.

And lastly, like the Conn. AG he wants MySpace to offer free, downloadable software that allows parents to block the use of MySpace. I don’t think that should be MySpace’s responsibility. With just a little knowledge, any parent can have MySpace blocked on their computer.

AG Reilly is also trying to educate parents…

As part of an effort to enhance parental awareness of online safety for children, AG Reilly’s Office is leading a series of workshops throughout Massachusetts to educate parents about the dangers that children face when using the Internet. Today AG Reilly will conduct an Internet Safety program for parents in Weymouth warning them of the potential dangers that exist when their children use the Internet.

How many parents actually attend these workshops remains to be seen. My guess is, there won’t be enough.

    Mr. A Reports III

Mr. A brings us another report from the darkest depths of the internet. This time about a child porn ring that was broken up in Massachusetts. The crimes themselves did not take place on MySpace but on P2P networks. However,

Mr. A brings us the MySpace profiles of two of the suspects. Michael Curley, who was arrested in February and Joseph Jaena who was arrested on 4/5. Welcome to the Rogues Gallery, boys.

Mr. A, the scourge of the internet underworld, strikes again.

  • Mass. Bombing Plot Foiled

    Mass. Bombing Plot Foiled

You know. It’s been a long time since I’ve written a worthwhile post. Sometimes that’s a good thing because it means that things aren’t too fucked up in my world. Then I read that police in Massachusetts foiled a plot in which three high school students planned to bomb their high school and shoot fleeing teachers and students as they escaped the building.

In an article that I read on Yahoo, they state that police were tipped off by the school janitor who found the plans outlying the attack. Police found in the suspects’ homes shotgun shells, bomb-making instructions, knives, flares, and pictures of themselves with weapons. Of course, the word Columbine was thrown around once or twice and with good reason.

When I read this article at the BostonHerald.com they said this….

“McKeehan, who often dressed in Marilyn Manson T-shirts and a long, black trenchcoat with choke-collar chains, had shaved the sides of his head and wore his hair pulled back in a ponytail, which he frequently dyed different colors, said Kimball and a neighbor, who didn’t want to be identified.”

Here we go again. Look, when I was 17 I wore a black trench coat, had long hair and wore Ozzy t-shirts, but I never threatened to blow up a school. But this case goes way beyond that. Apparently, the lead suspect, Eric McKeehan, had fits of violence. It seems he was estranged from his family and that his parents did not want anything to do with him. One of the other juvenile suspects allegedly has ADD and was distraught over his father’s death from cancer. Boo-freakin’ hoo. We’ve all had a rough life. Some rougher than others. But this is still no excuse to plot the deaths of dozens, if not hundreds.

And in this article from the Boston Globe Online, the mother of one of the suspects, who took in the other two suspects prior to the arrests, denies everything. She says that the shotgun shells were from a hunting trip. And that the kids were “gentle” and “misunderstood”. Then the article goes on to say…

“She said the students may have made some threats, but that they never really intended to hurt anybody.”

Excuse me? People who are gentle and misunderstood do not make threats to kill others. Sounds to me like another case of “not my kid”. People just do not want to take responsibility for any of their actions. Is this what we’ve become as a nation? Should the nation’s motto be “it’s not my fault”? Suck it up, America. Be responsible and keep a better eye on your kids.
