  • Indictments handed down in Brooke Bennett’s disappearance

    Jacques indicted: Brooke Bennett assaulted, strangled, smothered

    Michael Jacques was indicted yesterday in the disappearance of his niece 12-year-old Brooke Bennett. Jacques is facing federal charges so that makes him oh so eligible for the death penalty.

    A grand jury says convicted rapist Michael Jacques, 42, of Randolph drugged, sexually assaulted, strangled and smothered Brooke and placed a plastic bag over her head. The six-count indictment calls the killing premeditated, intentional and “especially heinous, cruel, or depraved.”

    Speaking of indictments, Jacque’s cohort, Ray Gagnon who is also Brooke Bennett’s ex-stepfather, has also been indicted. He was indicted in the state of Texas, where he lives on child porn charges. The U.S. District Attorney has dropped the obstruction charges against Gagnon so he could be easily extradited to Texas.

    2 teens in clown makeup arrested in possible kidnapping attempt:

    I and my regular readers tend to pick on one group of people more than others when they commit crimes. Mainly for the reason that I’ve never seen one band’s group of fans commit more stupid crimes with their faces painted like mimes. Of course, I’m referring to the Juggalos, fans of the rap group Insane Clown Posse or ICP.

    Now before we go any further let me make it perfectly clear that I don’t think the music made these kids commit crimes. They committed crimes because they’re idiots, plain and simple. Now on to the story.

    An 18 and a 15-year-old Juggalo tried to kidnap a 5-year-old boy in Salt Lake City over the weekend while they had their faces painted like idiots. The 5-year-old managed to get away and ran back to his house for help which should tell you what kind of criminal masterminds they are. Police caught up with them with their faces still painted.

    This was not the first run in Utah police have had with Juggalos. Just recently 21-year-olds Cody Jesse Augustine, of West Jordan, and Scott Tyler Stapley, of Murray were arrested for a July 29th attack on a teen. The pair are accused of attacking the teen with a knife and a replica battle-ax in which the victim received life-threatening injuries.

    Am I saying that all Juggalos are criminals? No, of course not. There just seem to be a disproportionate amount of them that are.

    I wonder if this is where the term ‘assclown’ came from.

  • An Ohio case of 15 will get you 20

    Man Allegedly Has Sex With Teen Through MySpace:

    21-year-old Joseph Wade, of Cincinnati, apparently can’t find women his own age. He was arrested for having consensual sex with a 15-year-old girl that he met on MySpace. Age of consent in Ohio is 16. He was also charged with interference with custody because not only did he help her run away but kept changing her location so her family couldn’t find her.

    Wade is obviously a desperate loser but I’m sure we’ll hear from someone who he’s some kind of hero who rescued the girl from her family. You know you can rescue someone without having sex with them.

  • Oregon MySpace rape

    Man accused of raping 13-year-old he met on MySpace:

    28-year-old Scott Knight of Aurora, Oregon has been arrested on charges that he raped a 13-year-old girl he met through MySpace.

    Not only is he trying the ‘she said she was 18 defense’ but his mommy is defending him in the press.

    “That’s not Scott, Scott may do things, but this is not Scott. He met this girl on a Web site, it happened to be a Web site that only 18-year-olds can go on, He doesn’t understand and I don’t understand. He doesn’t do that,” said Knight’s mother, Janice Abraham.

    Granted that a 13-year-old is not supposed to be on MySpace but it’s not a site for 18-year-olds. According to MySpace’s terms of service, you can be as young as 14 to sign up for MySpace.

    Then Knight’s sister plays a little ‘blame the victim’ game…

    “She set him up and it’s not right. She should be under house arrest or something, she should be stopped,” added Knight’s sister, Angelica White.

    Ah Personal Responsibility, we hardly knew ye.

    Knight is facing charges of rape, kidnapping, and child sex abuse. Another suspect may be involved as well.

    Knight also has a felony theft warrant in another county.

    Bennett death ruled a homicide:

    Coming as a surprise to absolutely no one Assistant U.S. Attorney Craig Nolan announced today that Brooke Bennett’s death was, in fact, a homicide.

    However, Nolan did not release any details in her death or who they think killed Brooke.

  • Brooke Bennett’s parents speak out

    Brooke’s Parents Speak:

    Brooke Bennett’s parents have finally spoken to the media.

    Brooke’s father and stepmother, Jim and Janet Bennett, basically want to see Michael Jacques burn in hell.

    “I hope they put him away forever and he rots in hell,” says Janet Bennett, Brooke’s stepmother.

    Brooke’s mother, Cassandra Gagnon, agrees…

    “I hate that I’ve got so much anger in me, but I think the death penalty is what he deserves, but I think that is a sweet justice for him,” she says.

    Now a lot of you have been questioning why Brooke’s mother would leave her alone around a known sex offender. She had this to say…

    Gagnon says she never allowed her daughter to visit Jacques house if another adult wasn’t present.

    “They have no idea. I could have been right next to her and someone could have grabbed her. I was at work and I knew where my children were. They always talk to me, so if people want to judge me, that’s their choice, but to hell with them.”

    I’m sure you’ll have a lot to say about that.

    Details in police’s case reveal chilling, devious planning by victim’s uncle:

    This is an article from the Barre Montpelier Times Argus that details the timeline of Michael Jacques planned kidnapping of Brooke Bennett. It also shows what kind of scumbag Jacques really is.

    First Jacques was using two different online personas to communicate with an underage girl that he was abusing. The first one was simply ‘E’ and the second one was Rauel Domingo. Domingo is not a third suspect as some blogs would have you believe. One of the things he told the girl was he was hunting wild zebra in Africa. To me, that sounds like some kind of code.

    Jacques and the juvenile plotted on how to lure Bennett away.

    Jacques ordered $1,033.45 in sex toys.

    Another underage female says that she will participate in the ‘tie down’.

    Jacques emailed one of the girls asking her to collect her boyfriend’s semen in order to throw police off the trail once Brooke disappears.

    According to the report, Jacques altered Brooke’s MySpace before she was abducted.

    Ray Gagnon then logged into Brooke’s MySpace and changed the password.

    When Jacques reported that he found some of Brooke’s clothes police also found blood and semen which they now believe Jacques planted.

    Those are just some of the lowlights that Jacques and Gagnon are accused of committing.

    How elaborate this whole scheme was just sickens me and anything less than the death penalty for Jacques would be an injustice.

    In court papers, Jacques accused of falsifying Web posts:

    Yesterday when I posted about the discovery of Brooke Bennett’s body I wasn’t sure if her body was found on her uncle’s property or not. It turns out a fresh grave was discovered on a rural road just off of Michael Jacques’ property.

    Now here’s the reason I didn’t want to post Brooke Bennet’s MySpace, it was, in fact, a fake. Police say that Jacques is the one who changed Brooke’s account to make reference to how she was supposedly leaving Vermont for Texas to meet someone. Jacques even told police about the MySpace in an attempt to throw them off the track.

    By the time I post this (as I am writing it Thursday morning), Jacques may have already been charged with federal kidnapping. If also charged with federal murder Jacques could be looking at the death penalty. The feds may have jurisdiction since I believe tampering with someone’s MySpace like that in order to hide a crime may be a federal offense.

    Now on to Brooke’s former stepfather Ray Gagnon. He’s been arrested for destroying evidence. That evidence turned out to be a laptop filled with child porn. Gagnon called his landlord back in Texas and asked him to destroy the computer. Gagnon also had a hand in altering Brooke’s MySpace after speaking with Jacques. Gagnon is also looking at federal charges but as of now those charges aren’t clear but I would assume they would also be for tampering with Brooke’s MySpace.

    Text messages lead police to girl, suspect on the road:

    Sasquatch over there is 37-year-old David Anthony Faboo. Scruffy Dan traveled from his home in Hillsboro to Wheatland, California to pick up a 16-year-old girl he met on MySpace.

    Halfway back to Oregon the girl realized she was making a mistake and text messaged a friend. The friend contacted police who kept the friend texting with the victim so they could track down the Yeti.

    When they caught up with The Wolfman the girl was unharmed and Faboo was charged with second-degree kidnapping and custodial interference.

    The victim is said to have a “diminished mental capacity.”

    William Joe Mitchell arrested

    Virginia State Police Arrest Fugitive:

    William Joe Mitchell, who I posted about here, has been arrested by Virginia State Police. 46-year-old Mitchell is accused of luring a 15-year-old Florida girl over MySpace to run away with him.

    Mitchell was arrested Saturday morning at a Flying J Truck Stop in Winchester, Virginia.
