  • More on Joe Nee’s parole

Nee and Kerns are both out of jail:

The following are the terms of Joe Nee’s parole.

Harris said parole supervision for Nee included counseling for anger management and a mental health evaluation. Nee also has to be screened for alcohol and drug use and has a nightly curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. He is under parole supervision until July. Coria Holland, spokesperson for the state commissioner on probation, said Nee would be on probation until May 2010.

I wonder how many incidents between now and May of 2010 will be swept under the rug due to Nee’s connections. I also get the feeling that his so-called mental evaluation and anger management classes will be just formalities.

Nee received early release from his sentence but yet the innocent, in my opinion, Tobin Kerns was denied early release. Was Tobin denied early release because of something he did or was it just because he’s not the son of the head of the Boston police union?

  • Joe Nee’s release confirmed

Marshfield High massacre plotter released from jail:

It has now been confirmed that the ringleader in the plot to attack Marshfield High in Massachusetts, Joe Nee, has been released.

Nee had a parole hearing on March 28 and was paroled on May 8, said Terrel Harris, spokesman for the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security. The parole hearing came after Nee had served about half of his jail sentence.

Isn’t that funny how that works? By all reports, I received Tobin Kerns was a model prisoner and he served every last day of his sentence.

Nee’s early release wouldn’t have anything to do with the fact that his father is a powerful Boston policeman, is it?

Personally, I hope that state authorities investigate Nee’s obvious preferential treatment but I won’t hold my breath on that one.

  • Joe Nee released early?

I have it on good authority that Joe Nee has been released from jail. For those of you who don’t know Joe Nee was, in my opinion, the actual ringleader of a plot against Marshfield High School in Mass. He’s also the son of the head of the Boston policeman’s union.

So he served 50 days of a nine-month sentence. Alleged co-conspirator Tobin Kerns, who in my opinion was innocent, served every day of his sentence.

Who says there wasn’t any preferential treatment of Nee?

  • An open letter from Tobin Kerns

If you’ve been reading this site for any length of time I’m sure you’ll recognize the name Tobin Kerns. He’s the guy who in my opinion was wrongly jailed for plotting a school shooting against Marshfield High in Massachusetts. Over the years since his arrest, I have been in touch with members of his family and tonight I received an e-mail from Tobin himself. He asked me to post this in response to his detractors. Some on this site and some in the real world…

Listen. I don’t know who you are, but you are clearly not qualified to make any sort of analysis. you have never even met me. That’s right I said me. This is Tobin Kerns, And you, miss, are a moron. I know you probably will not see this, as it was posted in Nov of 07, but god I hope you do. First of all before you start making any sort of judgments you should get your facts straight. In my trial both Joe Sullivan and Dan Farley stated that I was not involved with them when they went to police. They also said that they specifically went to the police to set me up because Joe Nee convinced them I was going to blow the whistle on their plot. I still got convicted because The system sucks. You should also know I was one of the most individualistic people in school. To be honest I was way to busy partying and screwing everything that walked to plan something like this. Hitler was an asshole and a moron. And the only reason people become therapists is because they do not want to deal with their own issues, so they get a job they can tell everyone else what is wrong with them. None of you can even agree with each other. Psychology is not a science, FDA approved drugs are a means of controlling the populace and suppressing individuality, and Freud wanted to f*** his mother. My email is tkernsED@gmail.com. e-mail me and maybe we can put our heads together, the last thing I want are people thinking I am a monster. You are obviously ill informed so do the right thing and get informed.

P.S. Howie Carr, you are a douche bag. I totally would have gone to my Grandads funeral. I loved him dearly.

  • Nee sentenced to 9 months

Man Gets 9 Months in Mass. School Plot:

That’s 9 months with three months served.

I’m surprised but I’m not. I’m surprised that the judge actually sentenced Joe Nee to jail time but I’m not surprised that he got less than Tobin Kerns.

    Let’s get some reactions…

“Obviously, being his parents, we’re heartbroken,” father Thomas Nee said after the sentencing.

Heartbroken that his position as head of the Boston police union didn’t carry enough clout maybe. If he was such a caring father maybe he wouldn’t have thrown his son out of the house when Nee went to live with the Kerns family. Or maybe he wouldn’t let his son wear a t-shirt to the school of the Columbine killers that said ‘Remember the Heroes’.

Next, we’ll hear from Joe Nee’s attorney, the always humorous Thomas Dreschler…

Nee’s attorney, Thomas Drechsler, asked Judge Charles Grabau to spare Nee any additional jail time.

“My client did go to police, and Kerns didn’t. I felt that he should have gotten a more lenient sentence,” Drechsler said. He said he plans to appeal the conviction.

The only reason Nee went to police was that he was in fear of Tobin Kerns going to the police first. He should have gotten a lot more time than Tobin Kerns. By most accounts, Nee was the ring leader.

Now let’s hear from Nee’s sister

Nee’s family was in tears, hugging outside the courtroom. His sister, Katherine Nee, said the ruling sends a message that people should not go to the police.

You mean how like a lot of the kids in Marshfield were afraid to go to the police about a policeman’s son?

I expect a few things to happen. I expect the sentence to be reduced on appeal. I expect Nee to get special treatment while in jail. I also expect that this won’t be the last time we hear about Joe Nee’s criminal activities. Either that or he’ll become a Boston cop.

  • Nee’s sentence debated online

    Nee’s expected sentence debated:

This is an article from the Patriot-Ledger newspaper in Quincy, Mass. which shows that the expected sentence of Joe Nee is being predicted online. It seems that I’m not the only one that thinks Nee will get a slap on the wrist.

“Nobody ever gets the max when they are that young,” said one comment posted by someone using the screen name Lost Cause. “At the most he will get approximately 2 years, and after good behavior and any time served, he will not spend much time at all in the land of forced love.”

Speaking of me, I was quoted in the article as well…

TheTrenchcoat Chronicles is Web site that says it specializes in following school shootings.

A poster there, using the screen name Trench Reynolds, said people seeking “true justice” should not celebrate just yet.

“If this is the only charge that Nee is convicted of he probably won’t see that much time,” the poster said. “Personally I’ll be surprised if he even sees the inside of a jail because of his connections.”

And I still stand behind that.

I wonder if the Patriot-Ledger used my quote because I was saying what they wanted to.

  • Courtroom skulduggery in Marshfield

MARSHFIELD STUDENT GUILTY ON ONE CHARGE IN SCHOOL MURDER PLOT:

Things are rotten in the state of Massachusetts.

There were some courtroom shenanigans in the conviction of Joe Nee. Originally the judge wanted to convict Nee on all three charges then things got weird…

Hours earlier, Judge Charles Grabau said that the prosecution had proven its case on all three charges against Nee. But Grabau changed his mind after hearing closing arguments.

After Grabau announced that he intended to find Nee guilty on all three charges, the 21-year-old’s family members began crying in the courtroom at Plymouth Superior Court. Nee hugged his mother to comfort her.

But defense attorney Thomas Dreschler interrupted the scene, objecting that the judge had not heard closing arguments. Grabau said there had been a misunderstanding and that he would reconsider his verdict after hearing from both sides.

Then Grabau only convicted Nee on one of the charges. I doubt Dreschler’s closing argument could have been that powerful to sway the judge into dropping two of the charges.

In my opinion everyone involved in handling this case from the judge, to the prosecution, to the defense, and especially Nee’s father. head of the Boston police union should be investigated.

  • Joe Nee convicted

Man Found Guilty In School Attack Plot:

Joe Nee, the ringleader of the plot to attack Marshfield High School, was convicted today of conspiracy to commit murder.

It’s not time to celebrate just yet seekers of true justice. The article states that this was the only charge he was convicted of. Nee was looking at charges of promotion of anarchy and threatening to use deadly weapons at school. The article doesn’t specify if he was found innocent of those charges or not.

Tobin Kerns, who in my opinion had nothing to do with the plot after he sought help, was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and threatening to use deadly weapons at school. He was sentenced to 10 months in jail.

If this is the only charge that Nee is convicted of he probably won’t see that much time. Personally, I’ll be surprised if he even sees the inside of a jail because of his connections.

  • Other Marshfield witness can’t recall anything either

Former classmates testify in Joseph Nee trial:

Several former classmates of Joe Nee were able to testify about specific details of Joe Nee’s obsession with guns and Columbine. Yet when it came time for the other witness that was granted immunity to testify Joseph Sullivan also conveniently claimed that he couldn’t recall the details of Nee’s role in the plot to attack Marshfield. Just like Daniel Farley’s testimony.

It almost seems like this trial is being put on just for show.

    Also, the prosecution rested today.

  • Marshfield witness can’t recall details

Witness in ’05 school plot case says he can’t recall many details:

Could the trial of Joe Nee be any more of a joke?

Yesterday one of the witnesses who was granted immunity, Daniel Farley, all of a sudden can’t recall details of the plot to attack Marshfield High. Which is funny to me because in the trial of Tobin Kerns Farley had no problems with recollection. You would think that if your ass almost went to jail you’d remember the details of why pretty clearly.

Farley, who was granted immunity in exchange for his testimony, said during cross-examination: “It’s been dragged out so many years, everything’s foggy. . . . I cannot give an accurate testimony.”

How convenient now that you’re testifying in the trial of the son of the head of the Boston police union.

His father, Thomas J. Nee, president of the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association, said after the nearly seven-hour hearing that he was glad to finally be in court.

“This is where the truth comes out,” he said. “I have faith in the system.”

Don’t you mean faith in collusion? Coercion maybe?
