  • Idaho attempted rapist sentenced

Man convicted of using iPod to lure potential rape victims sent to prison:

You remember Stephen Newman, don’t you? He’s the guy from Idaho who tried luring women he could rape by offering them a free iPod on craigslist.

He was convicted of attempted rape during the summer. He’s now been sentenced to 15 years and will be eligible for parole after he’s served at least half his sentence.

Newman’s lawyer is appealing stating that there was no evidence that Newman was going to harm anyone.

Really? Not even the ski gloves, the realistic-looking pellet gun, or the large kitchen knife? What about all the internet searches about rape and its penalties? That’s not evidence enough?

  • Other 2 of Idaho trio plead guilty

Two Meridian men admit to giving meth to 15-year-old girl for sex:

The other two-thirds of the Idaho teen prostitution and meth ring have entered guilty pleas. Previously Lindsey J. McKeehan had entered a guilty plea and was supposed to testify against the other two suspects, Colby Watson, and Douglas Winberry. Apparently, that was enough for Watson and Winberry to start looking for their own deals.

All three suspects were alleged to have given meth to a 15-year-old girl so they could have sex with her and pimp her out on craigslist.

  • One of Idaho trio pleads guilty

    Craigslist prostitution suspect pleads guilty:

I’ve posted about Douglas Winberry, Lindsey McKeehan and Colby Watson of Boise, Idaho before. They’re the trio who are accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl, giving her meth, and pimping her out on craigslist.

Back in August the trio all pleaded not guilty. However, Lindsey McKeehan has recently changed her plea to guilty.

The Ada County Prosecutor’s office says Lindsey McKeehan has now plead guilty to two counts of felony injury to a child: one count of giving a teen meth, and then the second charge is for having sexual contact with a teen and letting a man watch.

As part of her plea, McKeehan will testify against her ex-boyfriend Watson. Even with her plea, she’s still looking at 10 years behind bars.

  • Here’s to you iPod offering craigslist rapist guy

Ada County jury finds man guilty of attempted rape after posting Craigslist ad offering free iPod:

Our favorite iPod offering would be Idaho craigslist rapist, Stephen Newman, was found guilty of attempted rape.

It seems the Newman had a predilection for rape as he would take videos of himself and an ‘actress’ who would pretend to be raped. Not to mention the fact the items he was found with.

The jury only deliberated for three hours.

No word on when sentencing will be yet.

  • Would be craigslist rapist on trial

Prosecutors say Meridian man intended rape:

Last July 33-year-old Stephen Newman of Meridian, Idaho was arrested for attempted rape last July. he is accused of placing an ad on craigslist for a free iPod then laid in wait for the woman who responded to the ad.

Luckily the woman was smart enough to smell some kind of scam. The woman followed the instructions given to her by the ‘seller’ which led them to a porta-potty outside of a park where a man just happened to be lying in wait.

Officers say they found Newman wearing a black stocking cap, and they also found a knife, BB gun and ski gloves.

Police seized a laptop in Newman’s SUV which later was found to contain home movies that prosecutors say showed Newman having sex with a woman who was pretending that she was being raped by him.

His defense is that he was playing a prank. You want a prank? Here’s one. SURPRISE!!! You’re going to jail.

  • Idaho trio prostituted teen

Three ID residents charged in underage sex case:

36-year-old Colby Watson, his girlfriend 23-year-old Lindsey J. McKeehan, and 50-year-old Douglas A. Winberry, all from Idaho, have been arrested on charges of having sex with a girl under the age of 16 and for prostituting her out on craigslist.

Police said they received a tip on June 19 that Winberry had pictures of the girl in various sexual poses. A search of his home produced evidence he had sex with the girl and that he advertised her for prostitution on Craigslist, police said.

The investigation led to photo and video evidence of Watson and McKeehan engaging in sexual acts with the girl, and evidence that they also advertised the girl on Craigslist for prostitution, police said.

Alas, no mugshots. I’d be curious to see what this freakshow looked like. I bet it wasn’t pretty.

So a girl under 16 is molested, photographed, and pimped out yet some people would like you to believe that she’s not a victim.

  • Neuro-psychological exam requested for one of Cassie Jo Stoddart’s killers

Neuro-psychological exam requested for one of Cassie Jo Stoddart’s killers

Exam Requested By Adamcik’s Private Counsel in Pocatello:

I’ve posted about the murder of Cassie Jo Stoddart before. She was the 16-year-old Idaho girl who was brutally killed by two scumbags she thought were her friends, Brian Draper, and Torey Adamcik. They also videotaped her murder. Back in August, they were both sentenced to life without parole after they were tried as adults.

Now the attorney for Adamcik is requesting that his client receive a neuro-psychological exam for his client on the taxpayer’s dime to see if he has a brain deficiency.

Brain deficiency? Adamcik and Draper sliced Cassie Jo Stoddart to ribbons, videotaped it, and bragged about her murder on the tape. He doesn’t have a brain deficiency he has a soul deficiency and a humanity deficiency and hopefully, a judge will make sure he has a society deficiency for the rest of his life.

  • Beware craigslist bearing iPods

    Beware craigslist bearing iPods

Meridian Man Arrested in Park with a Knife:

This story comes to us from the bustling metropolis of Boise, Idaho, and it’s a rather bizarre tale. It seems there was an ad on craigslist for a free iPod Nano. Too good to be true, you say? You have no idea.

“I responded to it with the anticipation that several other people would because it seemed a little odd,” said a woman, we’re calling Sarah to hide her identity.

    Sarah heard back almost immediately.

“I did get response back from him with a little story about how he had a wife cheating on him and he needed to take her ipod from her and give it away because of the situation he had with her,” said Sarah.

The man told Sarah he was going to hide the Ipod from his wife in a public place and arrange for someone to take it.

All she had to do was show up to at the Youth Sports Complex Park on McMillan Road around 10:30 p.m.

Those who responded to the ad were told to come to this porta potty and that the Ipod would be right in front of the toilet paper holder

“It sounded very odd so what my husband and I did was get the emergency dispatch number for the police… drove past the park saw a car sitting there,” said Sarah.

Sarah says the car was right next to the porta potty.

She and her husband drove across the street to a near by shopping area and called Boise police.

They responded quickly and took the man into custody.

“The police told us that he had a black nylon mask on his face, a lap top in his car that he had been email people on, a black pair of gloves a butcher knife and a beebe gun,” said Sarah.

32-year-old, Stephen Donald Newman, of Meridian was arrested and charged with 2 misdemeanors – being in a park after hours and carrying a concealed weapon.

Since no felony had been committed, he was able to quickly bond out of jail.

Now that Newman is free, Sarah is afraid of retaliation which is why she has chosen to hide her identity.

And what did craigslist have to say? The usual…

We attempted to reach Craigslist for comment but have not yet heard back from them.

Craigslist says that their ads are policed by its users. But in this case, every cop is a criminal.
