Cops searched Gonzalez’ home after confession:

Just a quick update on the story of Giovanni Gonzalez.

His father, Ernesto Gonzalez, has pleaded not guilty to the latest charges against him of charges of parental kidnapping and willfully misleading police in the disappearance of his son.

And while police are remaining tight-lipped about the November 28th search after Gonzalez ‘confessed’ to the Boston Globe a neighbor of Gonzalez’s said that police searched Gonzalez’s house again. The neighbor said that they heard police sawing in the bathroom.

  • Ernesto Gonzalez indicted

Father of missing Lynn boy indicted for parental kidnapping:

Ernesto Gonzalez, the father of missing boy Giovanni Gonzalez, has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of parental kidnapping and willfully misleading a person in the furtherance of a continuing investigation. That last charge is more commonly known as obstruction.

What I find maddening is that the obstruction charge carries a 10-year sentence while parental kidnapping is only a one year sentence. Considering what he’s possibly done to Giovanni it should be inverse.

  • New search for Giovanni Gonzalez

New Location Searched In Giovanni Case:

State Police in Lynn, Mass. have searched a new location in the search for Giovanni Gonzalez. Police are keeping quiet about where the location is or if it had anything to with Ernesto Gonzalez’s skeptical confession.

The place of the search is being kept a secret as to not jeopardize the investigation.

  • Ernesto Gonzalez confesses to killing Giovanni

In jailhouse confession, father admits to killing son:

In an interview with the Boston Globe. Ernesto Gonzalez confessed to stabbing his son to death and dismembering the body in the bathtub of his Lynn apartment.

Police are skeptical about the confession because the blood found in Ernesto Gonzalez’s apartment was not Giovanni’s.

Police are still optimistic that Giovanni is alive.

Thank you, Karen, for pointing that out to me.

  • The Casey Anthony Addiction

Man Becomes Internet Celebrity By Following Caylee Case In TV Truck:

Is this how pathetic we’ve become as a society?

“There are people out there who are literally addicted to Caylee,” Murtaugh said. “The commercial media cannot provide everything we want. We want more. We’re addicted to it,” Murtaugh said.

Yet outside of Boston Giovanni Gonzalez gets almost no press. It’s a handful of bloggers, AMW and that’s it.

I know I’ve broken my Casey Anthony promise twice today but this just pisses me off.

Father of Giovanni Gonzalez wants charges dropped:

    How’s this for gall?

The father of missing 5-year-old Giovanni Gonzalez, Ernesto Gonzalez, wants the child endangerment charges against him dropped even though Giovanni has still not been found. He’s also asking for the evidence that was seized from his house dismissed. You remember that evidence don’t you?

…the boy’s toys, a bottle of cleaner, a mop head, trash bags and a knife that was found on the kitchen floor.

    Yeah, that evidence.

A hearing is scheduled for December, 11th. He still didn’t have the cojones to look Giovanni’s mother in the eye.

Missing Boy’s Mom Pleads For His Release:

I posted this story before but it needs to be repeated.

A child has gone missing and the child’s fate is unknown. A parent sits in jail refusing to give any information. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? Except this story hardly receives any media attention outside of its local area.

5-year-old Giovanni Gonzalez of Lynn, Mass. went missing three months ago. Giovanni spent a weekend with his father, Ernesto Gonzalez, but when the weekend was over Giovanni’s mother went to pick him up but he was not there.

Ernesto Gonzalez now sits in jail and claims to have no knowledge of what happened to his son.

But since there are no obnoxious grandmothers or glory seeking bounty hunters or amorous attorneys it gets little play in the national media.

The more people who see his picture the closer he is to coming home.

  • “Don’t know where Giovanni is at”

Father Says He Doesn’t Know Where Lynn Boy Is:

Ernesto Gonzalez was back in court again on Friday trying to get his bail lowered even though he has not assisted police in any way to help find his son Giovanni.

“Don’t know where Giovanni is at,” Gonzalez said.

After that, Gonzalez wouldn’t say anymore.

In court, Gonzalez showed no emotion. Prosecutors told the judge he was the last person to see his son Giovanni.

Thankfully the judge denied his lower bond request and it’s still set at $500K.

  • The latest on Giovanni Gonzalez

Authorities appeal again for help in finding missing Lynn boy:

Law enforcement officials have once again appealed to the public for information regarding the disappearance of Giovanni Gonzalez.

Ernesto Gonzalez Jr., Giovanni’s father, had a pre-trial hearing this morning. He wasn’t man enough to actually appear in court.

The only new information that has come out recently from the investigation is that police have eliminated the possibility that Giovanni is in Puerto Rico.

  • Ernesto Gonzalez may have had an accomplice

Accomplice May Have Helped Kidnap Giovanni:

Police in Lynn, Mass. are looking into the possibility that Ernesto Gonzalez had an accomplice in the disappearance of his son Giovanni Gonzalez.

They are also saying that since Ernesto Gonzalez had no transportation of his own they’re looking into public transportation for clues.

Investigators are also saying that there’s no reason to believe that Giovanni is dead.

I wish I was that optimistic.

Police urge anyone with information about Giovanni’s whereabouts to contact Lynn police at 781-595-2000.
