    Florida Man, Accused In MySpace Molestation, Caught In Upstate:

    I posted about Ansen Brown yesterday. He’s the guy from Hollywood, Florida who flew a 15-year-old girl from California to Florida and molested her. He had posted on his MySpace blog that he would fly someone out who was interested in being in porn.

    Well, he won’t be making any movies anytime soon unless he’s part of an Investigation Discovery documentary about prison life.

    Mr. Brown was apprehended at an Econo Lodge in Greenville, South Carolina where he’s currently awaiting extradition.

    Hollywood Cops Hunt MySpace Sexual Predator:

    Police in Hollywood Florida are looking for 32-year-old Ansen Brown.

    Brown made a blog post that asked who wanted to be a porn star. The blog post said if he thought they were good enough he would fly them to Miami.

    Apparently, he thought a 15-year-old girl was good enough because that’s who he flew from California to Florida. He’s accused of molesting her once they got back to Brown’s place.

    The girl was found but Brown has disappeared.

    Jury Sentences Abdool To Death:

    The jury that convicted Dane Abdool of setting his girlfriend on fire has recommended the death penalty.

    Abdool was convicted of killing Amelia Sookdeo by wrapping her in duct tape, dousing her in gasoline and setting her on fire.

    The story isn’t over yet as the judge has final discretion on sentencing.

    Orlando-area man convicted of setting on fire, killing girlfriend:

    Dane Abdool was convicted in the burning death of his girlfriend Amelia Sookdeo.

    As you may recall, Abdool was accused of wrapping her in duct tape, dousing her in gasoline, then setting her on fire when she told him she was pregnant. Autopsy results stated she wasn’t pregnant at all.

    It only took jurors four hours to hand down a guilty verdict.

    Abdool is eligible for the death penalty.

    Trial Continues For Man Accused Of Burning Girlfriend Alive:

    Yesterday in the trial of Dane Abdool an arson investigator testified that, in his opinion, Abdool intentionally set 17-year-old girlfriend Amelia Sookdeo on fire.

    Monday, arson investigators told the jury that Abdool poured gasoline on his sometime-girlfriend Amelia Sookdeo pretty much from head to toe. Investigators said they found gasoline on her face, soaked through all of her clothing and her socks and shoes. They said that 80-percent of her body was burned and that Abdool removed the nozzle from the gas can he used so that the gasoline would pour out more quickly. Gloves were also found at the scene.

    A State Fire Marshal investigator told the jury he believes it was an intentional burning because of all of the circumstances involved, including the fact that the arsonist would have had to have been close to the victim.

    “The vapors coming off the gasoline would have been more defused out in the open making it more difficult to ignite,” state arson investigator Juan Bailey testified Monday, adding that the igniting device would have to be close to the gasoline to spark it.

    Also, according to the article, Abdool showed no emotion when shown pictures of Amelia’s charred remains. Well, what did they expect, really?

    Man Accused Of Burning Girlfriend Heads To Trial:

    Longtime readers may remember when I first posted about Dane Abdool. Almost two years ago, a 19-year-old Dane Abdool was arrested for setting his 17-year-old girlfriend, Amelia Sookdeo, on fire, killing her.

    It’s alleged that Amelia told Abdool that she was pregnant. Abdool allegedly wrapped her in duct tape, doused her in gasoline, set her on fire, then left her in a ditch to die. The medical examiner determined after Amelia’s death that she wasn’t even pregnant.

    Abdool’s trial started today on first-degree murder charges, with a possible death sentence.

    Today was the start of jury selection.

    Hillsborough County man met girls on MySpace in order to have sex:

    Mr. Clean, over there, is 37-year-old Edward Oberwise of Hillsborough County, Florida. He’s been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 12-year-old girl he met on MySpace.

    Police were tipped off by the girl’s 14-year-old friend, who told her parents.

    So let’s hear it, sex offender defenders. Please tell me how you think that this man who was 25 years older than his victim was not at fault.

    Detectives:Man met Lakeland teen through MySpace and Sexually Battered Her:

    That distinguished looking gentleman at right is one 39-year-old Richard Gagnon Jr. He’s been arrested for performing sexual acts on a 14-year-old girl that he met over MySpace. Gagnon is accused of making several trips from Fort Lauderdale to Lakeland, Florida to have sex with the girl.

    Detectives say Gagnon sexually battered her on several of those trips. Gagnon admitted to investigators that he knew the victim was 14 years old.

    During the most recent incident, on Friday, investigators say the girl left her Lakeland home around 11:30 pm while her mom was sleeping.

    The victim agreed to meet Gagnon, and the two drove together to the Motel 6 located at 3120 US Hwy 98 North in Lakeland.

    When the girl’s mother woke up in the morning, investigators say, she found a note written by the victim girl saying that she had left and would return in a week.

    The mother called the Sheriff’s Office, and detectives, after talking to the victim’s friends, learned their location.

    Gagnon is facing numerous charges, including traveling to meet a minor and enticing a minor via the internet.

    Police: Myspace mission leads to sex arrest:

    The police department of Punta Gorda, Florida has been featured on this site many times. Usually, it’s for the arrest of some drug dealer that blatantly advertises on MySpace. This time they made a completely different kind of arrest.

    Punta Gorda PD arrested 19-year-old Tyler Stancker of Pennsylvania. Stancker traveled from Pennsylvania to Florida in order to have sex with a 14-year-old girl he met on MySpace.

    He is being charged with fourteen counts of Lewd Battery, two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation, and one count of Prohibited Use of Computer Services.

    He will be transported to the Charlotte County Jail for booking procedures where he will be held on no bond.

    Wow, no bond. That’s pretty harsh. Not that he’ll get any sympathy from me. I still don’t understand why someone would travel that great a distance for a 14-year-old girl.

    Scripps worker charged with seducing 14-year-old via the Internet:

    JUPITER A 22-year-old woman was arrested at her Scripps job on Tuesday and charged with sexual assault of a 14-year-old boy she’d met on the Internet at MySpace.com, deputies said.

    Colleen N. Grear, of Singer Island, was charged with one count of using a computer to seduce or solicit a child and three counts of sexual assault of a child under age 18, the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said.

    Detectives said Grear contacted the 14-year-old through MySpace.com early in the summer. She met with the child three times, PBSO said.

    PBSO also said Grear confessed to having oral sex and intercourse with the boy, who is from northern Palm Beach County.

    Recently, the boy’s mother discovered what was going on and contacted PBSO.

    Grear is a divorced mother of a 2-year-old child. In addition to working at the Scripps lab, she is a student at Florida Atlantic University and is a cheerleading coach at a local high school, PBSO said.

    It was not immediately known what Grear does at Scripps at its Jupiter operation.

    But since she’s a woman, she’ll probably get no time.
