    Sex attack victim found on Web site:

    Three Chicago teenagers have been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl they met through MySpace.com, a Web site popular with teens and young adults.

    Tony Pacheco, 17, and Angel Alverio, 18, were arrested Sunday along with a 15-year-old boy whose name is not being released because he is a juvenile. Pacheco, of the 6400 block of North Hamilton Avenue, and Alverio, of the 1500 block of West Wilson Avenue, were being held Monday on $400,000 bond. A Juvenile Court judge found probable cause to detain the 15-year-old, said Andy Conklin, a spokesman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

    Pacheco and Alverio, both students at Senn High School on the North Side, had been corresponding with the girl on MySpace.com, Assistant Cook County State’s Atty. John Henning said at the teens’ bond hearing Monday. Henning did not know how long the teens had been corresponding.

    The pair allegedly set up a meeting with the girl, who is also from Chicago, at an undisclosed location on July 24 and drove her to the home of the 15-year-old in the 4800 block of West Walton Street, Henning said. There, they allegedly drank alcohol and played video games, he said.

    “The victim passed out and when she woke up,” she was being sexually assaulted, Henning said. That pattern was repeated several times, and the last time she awoke she was in an alley, Henning said.

    I couldn’t find one for Alverio. I might have found one for Pacheco, but I can’t say for sure that it’s his, so any help would be appreciated.

    I did an entry about Nathan John Contos here. He’s the paramedic from Santa Cruz who allegedly molested a 14-year-old girl he met on MySpace. His MySpace has not been found as of yet, but a reader named Rebecca found Contos’ Yahoo Profile.

    Looks like a winner.

    UPDATE: A commenter named Doug believes that this is Contos’ MySpace. Doug found it by using Contos’ AOL handle of Nateiskiller.

    Man pleads no contest in MySpace sex case:

    SANTA CRUZ — A former paramedic faces a maximum sentence of three years, eight months in state prison for having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl he lured to his house after meeting her on the Internet.

    Nathan John Contos, 27, pleaded no contest in Santa Cruz County Superior Court on Thursday to two counts of child molesting and a misdemeanor count of possessing child pornography. He likely will have to register as a sex offender, attorneys said.

    Contos, of Santa Cruz, conversed with the girl in an AOL chat room and through the popular MySpace.com for about a month before meeting and engaging in what investigators have called “inappropriate sexual contact.” He also asked the girl to send him nude photos of her, which she did.

    Sheriff’s deputies arrested him in February.

    “He’s an adult who intentionally went onto the Internet, targeted a child and molested her,” prosecutor Jeff Rosell said. “He’s a predator.”

    The no-contest plea means Contos does not dispute the charges against him and is considered by the court as equal to a guilty plea.

    “Today he accepted responsibility for the mistake he made,” lead defense attorney George Gigarjian said Thursday.

    His attorneys said they will ask that Contos be sentenced to probation and that it’s unlikely a judge would mete out the maximum sentence. Contos has no criminal history, his attorneys said.

    “We think Nathan is a good young man,” said Gigarjian, who added that about two dozen people attended Thursday’s court proceedings to support his client.

    Good young men don’t molest 14-year-old girls and possess child porn.

    And I’m in a slump. I haven’t been able to find any MySpaces in a while. So if you know where Contos’ MySpace is, please let me know.

    Man Charged In MySpace Case:

    A 26-year-old wedding videographer from Somers was charged Tuesday with having illicit sexual contact with a 15-year-old local girl whom he brought to Massachusetts after meeting her on the popular Internet website MySpace.com.

    Jason Palmeira was arrested at his residence by the FBI, Simsbury police and state police. He is charged with using the Internet to persuade a minor to engage in sexual activity and traveling in interstate commerce for the purpose of attempting to have, and having, illicit sexual conduct with a minor.

    Palmeira was presented in U.S. District Court in Hartford and released after posting $100,000 bail. U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas P. Smith ordered Palmeira to reside with his parents at their home in Springfield. Smith also restricted Palmeira’s access to the Internet, according to a news release.

    The federal arrest affidavit says the girl posted a message on the online networking website in June, saying she wanted to meet single guys in Connecticut who are under the age of 18. On June 21, Palmeira sent an e-mail saying he was 26 and the two began communicating through e-mails and the phone, according to authorities.

    In July, the girl asked Palmeira if it was okay if the two did not engage in sex and Palmeira responded that they could do what she felt comfortable with, according to the affidavit. He talked with the girl about taking photographs of herself. On July 12, he sent her an e-mail saying he could get together over the next two days, according to the affidavit.

    Palmeira traveled on July 13 from Massachusetts to Connecticut to meet the girl, picking her up in a green sports car. He drove the girl to Massachusetts, bringing her to a location he described as his girlfriend’s house, the affidavit says.

    Once at the house, Palmeira is accused of having sexual contact with the girl, putting his finger in her vagina and driving her back to Connecticut, dropping her off at the Simsbury Public Library the following morning, according to the affidavit. He later sent an e-mail to her, saying that he hoped she didn’t get into too much trouble with her parents, that he was sorry and that he felt bad about cheating on his girlfriend. Several days later he e-mailed her, telling her to lie about her name and to call him.

    Eventually, Palmeira was busted by the girl’s mom.

    I wasn’t able to find his MySpace, but I did find his business site. I get the feeling that TLC will no longer be doing business with him.

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A teenage girl who allegedly had a lengthy sexual relationship with a former NASCAR publicist told authorities the man claimed to have victimized more than 50 children across the country, court documents say.

    Richard “Chip” Williams, 48, was charged last week with raping a child — a 14-year-old girl whom he met on the Internet when she was 11 — and soliciting a minor for sex over the Internet. He is being held in lieu of $2 million bail.

    An affidavit says the 14-year-old girl said she knew the man who had sex with her as “John Wisham,” which police say is the identity Williams used online.

    She said Wisham claimed “to have been with over 50 children in various forms of sexual exploitation.”

    In the affidavit, Detective George Moore says he read a sexually explicit online conversation between the girl and “Wisham,” then watched as she engaged the man in another explicit online conversation.

    During another online chat, the girl introduced “Wisham” to an undercover officer, who posed as a 15-year-old girl, the affidavit said. It said “Wisham” discussed sex in the online chat.

    According to an anonymous tip I received, this is the MySpace used by Williams as “Wisham” but there isn’t a whole lot to see there.

    Broadview Heights men accused of raping girls met on MySpace:

    CLEVELAND — Two Broadview Heights men are accused of raping young girls they met on the web site MySpace.

    Channel 3 News first told you about 21-year-old Albert Azolino back in March.

    He is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old Strongsville student lured to his home through internet chat.

    Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason says Azolino and 33-year-old friend Timothy Norman face rape, unlawful sexual contact with minors, and pandering charges.

    The prosecutor warns parents to be leery of the kids spending time on this web site.

    “It’s like a catalogue for predators,” Mason said. “It’s got the pictures of the kids so anybody who wants to get online — they go on to myspace.com, look at the pictures and click on it. Up comes the profile of the person they just click on.”

    Mason says the suspects would offer alcohol to the kids then photograph them during sex acts.

    If convicted the two could face life in prison.

    I was unable to find the MySpaces of either suspect. If you know of them, please let me know.

    Chaplin man arrested; allegedly met girl, 13, on MySpace.com:

    A 27-year-old Chaplin man was arrested and a missing 13-year-old Hebron girl was found in a Portland motel room late Monday night. State police say the pair allegedly began a relationship after she used the Web site Myspace.com.

    Aaron Whitney was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He is being held on $750,000 bond and was to appear in Middletown Superior Court today.

    State police responded to a complaint of a missing girl Monday afternoon. Troopers learned the girl never got on her school bus and did not go to school. After finding out about the alleged relationship, police identified the suspect and put out descriptions of the suspect, his car and the missing girl. A Portland police officer located the car at the Portland Motel just before midnight. Police say both Whitney and the girl were in the room.

    Whitney was taken into custody and the girl was transported to Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, was treated and released to her parents.

    What is up with Connecticut? It seems like they have more of these stories than any other state.

    Anyway, here is more than likely Aaron Whitney’s MySpace. The only thing that doesn’t match is his age. Plus, it’s all stripped down. Maybe he was clearing it in case of an arrest.

    There are new accusations Wednesday against convicted sex offender and former Warren County teacher Pamela Rogers. Rogers was arrested after the district attorney said she recently sent a pornographic video of herself to her teenage victim.

    Rogers served six months in jail for having a sexual relationship with at 13-year-old student. She was released from jail on February 26. On April 12, police arrested Rogers for violating her probation. Rogers reportedly made contact with the victim and his family through a MySpace website, referring the young victim by his basketball jersey number.

    But it’s ok because she’s an attractive woman. [/sarcasm]

    She’s not the brightest crayon in the box, is she?

    Woman Accused Of Being Online Predator:

    Police in the Phoenix, Arizona suburb of Goodyear say a 36-year-old woman used the web to pull a kind of “bait and switch” on teenage boys. The woman is now in jail.

    Neighbors say there are plenty of kids in this new west Valley neighborhood where Peggy Ross lives.

    Goodyear police claim 36-year-old Peggy Ross used the popular website myspace.com posting a phony profile to lure teenage boys to chat rooms, then to her home.

    Cmdr. Ralph Mclaughlin says the picture she posted on myspace.com was not hers, but that of an unknown teenage girl.

    Investigators say a 15-year-old boy eventually came forward, claiming he had sex with Ross who police say has three children of her own.

    Police believe other boys were victimized but reluctant to come forward, perhaps because the suspect is a woman.

    Again, this is no different from any of the male predators that have been seen on this site.

    MySpace contact results in man’s arrest:

    BROOKSVILLE A 24-year-old Spring Hill man has been charged with sexual battery after he met a 14-year old girl on a popular Internet site, then had sex with her, according to an arrest affidavit from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
    James M. Tarduno, 3137 Wiltshire Ave., was arrested Tuesday and faces charges of lewd and lascivious battery on a child 12 years of age or older, but younger than 16.

    The victim told investigators that she met Tarduno on MySpace.com, a popular social Internet site frequented by young people.

    The two corresponded for a month online and through text messages on cell phones, then made arrangements to meet for sex, according to the report.

    Tarduno met the victim at her house last Friday and they walked to Tarduno’s home, where they had sexual contact in the driveway, the report said. They also had sex in Tarduno’s station wagon, police said.

    Tarduno later admitted to the sexual offense when contacted by investigators.

    Like this story wasn’t creepy enough…

    According to the report, Tarduno worked in security at Eckerd Youth Alternatives E-How-Kee Camp, a camp in Brooksville for troubled youngsters.

    Tarduno started as a night watchman at the camp earlier this year and had no direct contact with youngsters there, said Lou Anne Banks, a spokeswoman for Eckerd Youth Alternatives, when reached Tuesday afternoon.

    Banks said Tarduno passed law enforcement background checks at the time of his application. She said Tarduno ‘no longer works with us as of this morning.’

    When I was 24, I dated one girl who was 21 and another who was 19. 19 is still a little young for a 24-year-old, but she was still LEGAL!!!

    I’ll never understand how any legal adult in their right mind would want to have sex with a 14-year-old girl.

    I couldn’t find the MySpace of the suspect at this time.
