  • Schallenberger trial delayed again

Teen’s trial in school bomb case again delayed:

The trial for 18-year-old Ryan Schallenberger has been delayed once again. If you’ll recall Schallenberger was the teen who was allegedly plotting an attack on Chesterfield High School in South Carolina. The plot unraveled when his parents discovered a package of ammonium nitrate that was delivered to his house.

According to Schallenberger’s own journals, he admired the Columbine killers and was jealous of all the ‘cool kids’. He also wanted to go to heaven after he committed his attack so he could kill Jesus.

The trial is being delayed once again at the request of the prosecution and the defense. The defense needs more time to confer with their client after months of psych evals requested by the prosecution.

Since Schallenberger received the ammonium nitrate through the mail this is being tried in Federal Court.

The trial is slated to start in March.

  • Lawyer wants journal kept private

Lawyer: Keep private journal of SC teen accused in bomb plot:

It seems that the lawyer representing Ryan Schallenberger has finally started doing his job. He’s requested that Schallenberger’s private journal that details his plot against Chesterfield High School not to be made public.

That’s not the same as making the journal inadmissible. Attorney Michael Meetze feels that making the journal public would taint the jury pool.

  • Schallenberger competent?

Psychiatrist says S.C. teen accused in plot is competent:

The bizarro world proceedings of the Ryan Schallenberger case continue. Yesterday a psychiatrist for the defense says that Schallenberger is indeed competent to stand trial.

That’s right, the kid who wanted to blow up his school so he could kill Jesus is allegedly competent to stand trial.

His defense attorney is either a genius or an idiot. We’ll just have to wait and see which one he is.

  • Schallenberger to undergo exam

Judge orders evaluation for S.C. teen accused in school plot:

As a surprise to absolutely no one, except maybe his own attorney, batshit crazy McVeigh wannabe Ryan Schallenberger has been ordered by a federal judge to undergo a mental evaluation. (Holy run-on sentence Batman)

I guess his attorney is going for the touchdown by trying to get him free instead of settling for the field goal by using the insanity defense. Just a guess.

  • Schallenberger wants to kill Jesus

Agent: S.C. teen wanted to kill Jesus:

South Carolina’s own Timothy McVeigh wannabe, Ryan Schallenberger, told police he wanted to die so he could go to heaven and kill Jesus. I don’t think he thought his cunning plan all the way through.

Let’s just take this from a religious standpoint for a second. I’m pretty sure the tenets of heaven frown upon mass murder and suicide. Not only that they tried killing Jesus once. It didn’t take.

From a legal standpoint, the kid is either really stupid or crazier than a shit house rat. In a case of bizarro world proceedings, the prosecution wants him to undergo a mental evaluation while the defense thinks he’s more than capable in assisting them. This time I’m actually leaning towards shit house rat.

That doesn’t mean I think he should be given a pat on the head, some sage advice, and sent on his way. He’s obviously a danger not only to himself but more importantly to society.

  • Update on Ryan Schallenberger

SC prosecutor: Teen in bomb plot to stay in county jail:

Ryan Schallenberger will remain in Chesterfield County Jail for now despite prosecutors’ concern for Schallenberger’s well-being. Schallenberger’s defender said he’s not worried about his client’s well-being.

Schallenberger will next be in court to determine if he will undergo a mental evaluation.

  • Schallenberger on suicide watch?

    Protecting school bomb suspect:

The article seems to infer that Ryan Schallenberger is on suicide watch. In the article State prosecutor Jay Hodge says that Chesterfield County Jail isn’t able to handle a suicide threat. So basically just like the cowards he worships he’s trying to get out of his inevitable sentence.

Just another coward who thinks he can dish out the pain but can’t take it.

    Man up Nancy.
