    Osantowski terror sentence stands:

The Michigan Supreme court has ruled that our favorite Michigan mutant, Andrew Osantowski, will not have his sentence increased. Osantowski was sentenced to 4 1/2 years for plotting an attack against Chippewa Valley High School. Prosecutors appealed the sentence stating that it was too light.

While I agree with the prosecution I can almost guarantee you this won’t be the last we hear from Osantowski. I have the feeling that he’ll be another Mitchell Johnson and will be a resident of the state once again. Hopefully, he’ll go back to jail the same stupid way as Johnson too.

    Osantowski resentencing delayed again

    Mount Clemens: Resentencing delayed:

Our favorite Michigan Neo-Nazi school shooting wannabe scamp, Andrew Osantowski, has had his resentencing rescheduled again.

The re-sentencing, originally scheduled for Monday, is a result of a recent Court of Appeals decision that upheld Andrew Osantowski’s conviction under Michigan’s 2001 terrorism law.

He was originally sentenced to 4/12 years for plotting an attack against Chippewa Valley High School, but his sentence was appealed by prosecutors, who said the judge did not interpret the law correctly. Osantowski could get an additional 20 years.

Teen convicted of school attack plot faces re-sentencing:

The Michigan mutant, Andrew Osantowski, will have to wait until October to find out how much more will be added to his 4 1/2-year sentence. He was originally supposed to find out tomorrow but has been delayed because Osantowski’s attorney is appealing the conviction to the Michigan Supreme Court. I don’t want to jinx it, but I’m pretty sure that Osantowski’s conviction will be upheld.

  • The Mutant Report

    The Mutant Report

To some online, gunman is a hero, martyr:

We have an article here from the Detroit Press about people who idolize school shooters. Apparently, it was written by Captain Where The Hell Have You Been For The Past 8 Years.

In the videotapes Cho Seung-Hui sent to NBC in the midst of the Virginia Tech massacre, he spoke of his children, brothers and sisters and compared himself to Jesus.

Many may shrug off such rantings as those of a deranged killer.

    But not everyone.

“Cho Seung-hui, we fringed ones salute you,” reads one Web site that praises the bloodshed just days after the country recoiled at the deadliest shooting spree in U.S. history.

Rowell Huesmann, a professor of psychology and communication studies at the University of Michigan, called such sentiments “disgusting.”

But, he added, there’s a reason for them.

“There are disaffected people who are alienated, for one reason or another, from society who wouldn’t do anything physically violent,” he said. “But writing these gives them a chance to be aggressive to society in a way that’s fairly non-risky.”

He says non-risky, I say cowardly. Get back to me when one of you mutants has the balls to say this to a family member of one of the victims. Then again, that would require you to leave your mom’s basement.

If Cho wanted notoriety as a martyr for the disenfranchised, history indicates he’ll get it.

That’s what happened with Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, students at Columbine High School in Colorado who shot to death 12 classmates and a teacher before turning their guns on themselves eight years ago today.

And locally, it happened with Andrew Osantowski of Clinton Township in 2004. The then-17-year-old was accused of stockpiling an arsenal to gun down classmates and blow up his school, Chippewa Valley High in Clinton Township. His plan was thwarted after he shared it in an Internet chat with a teen in Washington state, who told her father. He, in turn, called Clinton Township police.

    Online, Osantowski was praised.

“I, for one, salute Mr. Osantowski,” a Web site posting read at the time. Osantowski, who was convicted of threatening an act of terrorism and using a computer to threaten terrorism, was sentenced to 4 1/2 to 22 years in prison.

I wonder which site that was. Oh, yeah. It was this one. What the article fails to mention is that the person who made that comment has since recanted his opinion of Andrew Osantowski.

But hey, if it opens the eyes of some parents who have at-risk kids, hopefully it will avoid another Columbine or Virginia Tech.

  • Another appeal for Osantowski

    Another appeal for Osantowski

Osantowski to seek Supreme Court appeal:

The last time we heard from convicted school shooting plotter Andrew Osantowski, his conviction was upheld, and he found out that he might receive more prison time according to the Michigan Court of Appeals. Now his attorney is appealing to the Michigan Supreme Court.

The appellate attorney for Andrew Osantowski said that she will ask the state Supreme Court to hear arguments on a half-dozen issues, including the constitutionality of the terrorism statute and his sentencing guideline range.

Marla McCowan, Osantowski’s appellate attorney, said she also asked the Court of Appeals to reconsider its March 2006 decision to allow Osantowski’s statement to be used in the case. McCowan said she is arguing that Osantowski’s Miranda rights were not properly provided. She said a decision on that issue could be made by May.

Osantowski is scheduled for resentencing June 13th, but this appeal could delay that.

Osantowski may get more time in prison

Teen imprisoned in massacre plot could get longer sentence:

It seems that the Michigan Mutant, Andrew Osantowski, may be spending more time behind bars than his original 4 1/2-year sentence.

The Michigan Court of Appeals said the trial judge made an error in calculating Osantowski’s sentence. Macomb County assistant prosecutor Josh Abbott said that Osantowski’s minimum sentence should be at least 7 to 10 years.

Of course, I’m sure this will be tied up in appeals until kingdom come.

    Also, his conviction was upheld.

Teen imprisoned in massacre plot sentenced in unrelated cases:

The Michigan Mutant, Andrew Osantowski has been sentenced for the break-in at a local gun shop. He received a sentence of 11 months, but they may as well just throw out the charges because he’ll serve in concurrently with his 4 1/2-year sentence for the school plot. Way to serve justice there, Judge. A concurrent sentence will be sure to teach him a lesson.

Osantowski to be sentenced on yet another charge

Our favorite Michigan mutant, Andrew Osantowski, is back in the news again. This time for one of his many sentencings. He will be sentenced on March 6th for charges of breaking and entering into a gun shop, which he pleaded guilty to. He had stolen the guns in preparation for his planned assault against Chippewa Valley High School. He is already serving a 4 1/2 year sentence for the plot.

Teen imprisoned in massacre plot pleads guilty to stealing guns:

The original Michigan mutant, Andrew Osantowki, has pleaded guilty to stealing two guns that were unrelated to his school shooting plot conviction. In June 2004, he had stolen an AK-47 and a shotgun from a gun shop. Osantowski still has to go to yet another trial in January for theft charges for a stolen golf cart that was taken from a golf course and tools he stole from a cemetery.
