Registered sex offender found drunk with kids in car

“Police: Sex Offender Befriended Teens On MySpace”:

It’s always disheartening when any kind of news article starts out like this…

Late Friday night, Michael Ingram, a 39-year-old registered sex offender, was found riding around drunk, with five 12 and 13-year-old boys in his car.

He was busted when one of his victims text messaged his brother to get help. It’s alleged that Ingram of the Nashville, Tenn. area, used MySpace to befriend one of the boys, then through that one boy met the others.

Ingram was previously convicted in the 1990 rape of a boy.

  • Another MySpace Lawsuit

    Another MySpace Lawsuit

Victim’s parents sue MySpace after suicide, assault by Celina man:

The family of a 14-year-old California girl known only as Julie Doe are suing MySpace after the girl committed suicide. Doe was sexually assaulted by 30-year-old Kiley Ryan Bowers of Celina, Texas after the two met on MySpace in 2005.

Their online conversations led to a face-to-face meeting and the sexual assault near her home in Southern California.

Mr. Bowers broke off the relationship several months later, and the girl fell into “a deep depression as a result of the failed, despicable relationship fostered over MySpace,” the lawsuit states. She killed herself in July 2006.

Mr. Bowers, 30, pleaded guilty to traveling across state lines to have sex with a minor and was sentenced this summer to nine years in federal prison.

Now let’s hear from the attorney…

“MySpace knows that it is a haven for sexual predators, yet doesn’t put in any security measures to protect young girls,” said the family’s attorney, Jason Itkin. “We think that with MySpace’s right to make a profit comes a responsibility to protect its customers.”

“The main goal of these lawsuits is to get MySpace to stand up and put in meaningful protections that will make it more difficult to search out and find young girls,” said Mr. Itkin, whose firm is representing six other families who have sued MySpace on similar allegations.

I really hate to kick a family when they’re down, but this lawsuit was once tried already and failed. Mr. Itkin was involved in that lawsuit as well. Mr. Itkin says these lawsuits are to protect the children, but we all know it’s really about getting a huge payday.

The sexual assault took place in the girl’s home. Where were the parents when this assault took place? Why weren’t the parents checking up on her MySpace activities? Families are supposed to come with built-in meaningful protection. They’re called parents.

U.S. district judge Sam Sparks said it best when he dismissed the original lawsuit. “If anyone had a duty to protect Julie Doe, it was her parents, not MySpace,”

  • Mitchell Johnson Wal-Mart threat just a rumor

Mitchell Johnson Wal-Mart threat just a rumor

Wal-Mart says holiday crowds, not threats, reason for police:

I received an e-mail the other day from a nice reader from Fayetteville, Arkansas who said she received an e-mail stating that Wal-Mart was increasing its security because Jonesboro gunman Mitchell Johnson was planning an attack on the store. It was alleged in the e-mail that Johnson was recently fired from there and that his girlfriend left him.

I said to the reader that I doubt Johnson was planning anything because after his New Years Day arrest on weapons charges I would think that local law enforcement and the feds are probably keeping a close eye on him.

Now, this article confirms it that Wally World just requested additional security for the Christmas season.

Police Sgt. Matt Partain confirmed that Johnson was formerly employed by the store but was terminated months ago. He further confirmed that Johnson’s girlfriend is a current Wal-Mart employee.

“Yes his girlfriend works there, but we haven’t even seen him there since we’ve been there,” he said.

Partain said Johnson is not believed to have had any involvement in a recent bomb threat at the Wal-Mart in north Fayetteville.

So the people of Fayetteville have nothing to fear at Wal-Mart except the usual, other Wal-Mart shoppers.

  • Dillon Cossey’s mom held for trial

Dillon Cossey’s mom held for trial

Mother of Plymouth Whitemarsh High youth held for trial:

Michele Cossey, the mother of would be school shooter Dillon Cossey, has been ordered to stand trial on charges of unlawful transfer of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a minor, and child endangerment. If you recall, it was revealed after Dillon Cossey was arrested that his mother was the one who bought the firearms for the 14-year-old.

Dillon Cossey came to the attention of police on Oct. 10 after a friend told authorities the teen planned a Columbine-like assault on Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. Cossey, who is in the custody of juvenile authorities, admitting the plot and said his mother bought him the weapons, which led to charges against his mother.

This is the first case that I can recollect where a parent is being charged in connection with a school shooting plot.

  • Matthew Murray: Full-Blown Mutant

Killer posted Web links to Columbine videos:

I’m officially going to declare cowardly scumbag church shooter Matthew Murray a mutant. It seems he took a page out of the Cho Seung-Hui handbook and posted links to pro-Columbine videos from YouTube between shootings.

Eleven messages posted between Sunday’s attacks by “nghtmrchld26” spoke of abuse at the hands of Christians, of leaving this nightmare behind to a better place, and quoted liberally from the hate-filled screeds of Columbine High School killer Eric Harris.

Two of the posts also included links to videos featuring Harris and fellow Columbine killer Dylan Klebold that are posted on the Web site YouTube.com.

One five-minute video features still images of Harris and Klebold as well as actors who played them in a movie about the April 20, 1999, attack on the high school. As the pictures flick through in slide show fashion, the song Anarchy from the band KMFDM plays.

A poster for KMFDM hung on the wall in Harris’ bedroom the day of the Columbine killings.

Another message has a link to a video called Hitmen for Hire – a project Harris and Klebold did for a marketing class. In the video, they pose as hit men who get even with students who bully others.

He also posted a link to a video about Ricky Rodriguez, who was allegedly abused in a cult before stabbing and killing a big wig in the church before killing himself.

Apparently, Murray thought he was abused by his strict religious upbringing. Do you know how he was abused? He wasn’t allowed to listen to rock music or play video games or stuff like that.

On another website, a poster named nghtmrchld26, believed by police to be Murray, said he rebelled against an upbringing that forbade him from buying rock music, video games and popular DVDs.

He writes that he felt oppressed by the restrictions. The hypocrisy of religious leaders, he wrote, prompted him to rebel, although he feared “returning back to what is at least ‘familiar,’ into a system I at least know how to behave in.’ “

And here’s some more mutant activity from the same article…

DyingChild_65 did not feel loved. He wrote that he was angered by being rejected by various groups over the years.

“I hate you people for leaving me out of so many fun things,” one post said. “Never inviting me to all your fun parties, never inviting me to hang out.”

As I’ve posted before, he’s not even an original mutant. Those are the exact words of his cowardly scumbag hero Eric Harris.

DyingChild_65 ends his rant by saying: “Like Cho, Eric Harris, Ricky Rodriguez and others, I’m going out to make a stand for the weak and the defenseless this is for all those young people still caught in the Nightmare of Christianity for all those people who’ve been abused and mistreated and taken advantage of by this evil sick religion Christian America this is YOUR Columbine.”

If he hated the Christian life so much, why was he still living with his folks at 24? I’ll tell you why. Because just like his heroes Cho and Harris, he’s a loser.

Matthew Murray, you’re not famous, you’re not great, you’re not a martyr. You’re just another name to add to the pantheon of cowards that preceded you. The only thing you’ll be remembered for is making the flames of hell burn a little more yellow.

  • Church shooting mutant?

Web posting replicates Columbine shooter’s manifesto:

If you’ve been following the church shootings in Colorado, you know that the gunman, Matthew Murray, posted violent anti-Christian diatribes on a website that’s dedicated to people who’ve left the evangelical life. He also copied almost word for word one of Eric Harris’ rants and posted it.

I’m coming for EVERYONE soon and I WILL be armed to the @#%$ teeth and I WILL shoot to kill. ….God, I can’t wait till I can kill you people. Feel no remorse, no sense of shame, I don’t care if I live or die in the shoot-out. All I want to do is kill and injure as many of you … as I can especially Christians who are to blame for most of the problems in the world.

Well all you people out there can just kiss my (expletive removed) and die. From now on I don’t give a @#%$ about what all you (expletive removed) have to say, unless I respect you which is highly unlikely, but for those of you who do happen to know me and know that I respect you, may peace be with you and don’t be in my line of fire, for the rest of you, you all better @#%$ hide in your houses because I’m coming for EVERYONE soon, and I WILL be armed to the @#%$ teeth, and I WILL shoot to kill and I WILL @#%$ KILL EVERYTHING! No I am not crazy, crazy is just a word, to me it has no meaning, everyone is different, but most of you @#%$ heads out there in society, going to your everyday @#%$ jobs and doing your everyday routine (expletive removed) things, I say @#%$ you and die, if you got a problem with my thoughts, come to me and I’ll kill you, because……..God (expletive removed), DEAD PEOPLE DON’T ARGUE! My belief is that if I say something, it goes. I am the law. If you don’t like it, you die. If I don’t like you or I don’t like what you want me to do, then you die. If I do something incorrect, oh @#%$ well, you die. Dead people can’t do many things, like argue, whine, @#%$, complain, name, rat out, criticize, or even @#%$ talk. So that’s the only way to solve arguments with all you (expletive removed) out there, I just kill. God I can’t wait till I can kill you people, I’ll just go to some downtown area in some big city and blow up and shoot everything I can.

So far, that’s his only mutant tendency, well, that and taking the coward’s way out. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a full-blown mutant.

  • Threats close NIU

    Threats close NIU

    Threat Closes Illinois University:

Writing threatening graffiti in the school bathroom isn’t just for middle school kids anymore. Now college students are getting into the act.

Two threats found in women’s rooms of Northern Illinois University caused classes to be canceled today.

One said The VA tech shooters messed up with having only one shooter. Another message mentioned Monday’s date and said things will change most hastily at NIU.

The threats included a racial slur.

I wonder if it had anything to do with this?

NIU President John Peters canceled exams Monday.

For whatever reason, I hope they find the lugnut that did this and lock him/her in a cell until next semester ends, at least.

Megan Had It Coming is a hoax Part III: Hoax Confirmed

I’m usually not one to say I told you so….ah who the hell am I kidding? Thanks to Mondoreb, from DBKP we now know that ‘Megan Had It Coming’ was a hoax like I’ve been telling you all along. So if you’ll allow me…

    *AHEM*

    I told you so.

But someone was even more right than me, and that would be Pat from Belchspeak. Early on he told me that it was probably someone from Encyclopedia Dramatica, and it turns out he was dead on. For those of you who don’t know, ED is a bizarro world version of Wikipedia that keeps track of all the drama on the internet. ED’s admission to it can be found here, where they also refer to yours truly as an internet genius. Yes, I know they’re being sarcastic.

However, as crass and tasteless as this stunt was on ED’s part (as in I hope the hoaxter gets a kick in the balls by karma) the hoaxter has a point. Some assclown posts a blog claiming to be Lori Drew and a lot of you fell for it hook line and sinker, further perpetuating the sad realization that even today some people will believe anything they see on the internet.

Remember Trench’s Internet Law #1 kids. Be skeptical and don’t trust anyone.

  • Man sentenced for false imprisonment

    Man sentenced for false imprisonment

Jail, probation in MySpace imprisonment case:

29-year-old Rami George Tawasha of South San Francisco was sentenced for the false imprisonment of a woman that he met on MySpace. He was sentenced to 6 months in jail and three years probation. He accepted a plea in order to avoid a trial for charges of forced oral copulation, sexual penetration, sexual battery, and false imprisonment.

According to prosecutors, in January 2006 Tawasha met the 23-year-old victim on MySpace, a popular social networking Internet site. They allegedly agreed to meet at the Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo and eventually returned to her home.

After the couple initially kissed, Tawasha allegedly forced himself on the woman over her protests and drove her back to the shopping center.

Since the charges were originally forced oral copulation, sexual penetration, and sexual battery, he was smart for taking the plea but stupid for what he did to that woman.

    31 and 13 both say they’re 16

Man Arrested After Meeting 13-year-old Girl on MySpace:

31-year-old Corey Hubbard of Valdosta, Georgia was arrested after taking a 13-year-old girl from Canton, Georgia he met on MySpace to a hotel. Here’s the mileage in case you were wondering.

Both we’re pretending to be 16-year-olds on MySpace. In case you were wondering again, 16 is the age of consent in Georgia.

Investigators said the two ended up at a Canton motel in the middle of the night. Officers said fortunately, the young girl had second thoughts. Investigators said Hubbard paid for a room, but just before going inside, the girl told Hubbard that she needed to make a phone call.

“She text messaged her friend and her father called back and told her to get to the hotel manager’s office,” said Sergeant Baker.

Pryush Patel, the hotel manager who called 911 said, “She told me she was here with someone and she was scared.”

When authorities arrived at the hotel, the girl was reunited with her parents and Hubbard was arrested.

Luckily, the girl had second thoughts or else we might be talking about this as a missing child story…

“This turned out pretty good considering the items we found in the trunk, a knife, rope, rubber gloves and a cooler,” said Sergeant Baker.

It sounds like they might have been finding this girl in 5 different counties.

Again, parents, if you ever needed any more incentive to monitor your kids’ internet activity, this should be it.
