Jonesboro gunman Mitchell Johnson just can’t catch a break, not that he deserves one.
While he stews in a Bentonville, Arkansas jail for his latest misdemeanor drug possession, it turns out that Johnson may have had his hand in another crime, using a stolen ATM card. He allegedly took it when a customer at the gas n’ gulp that he worked at left the card at the store. Johnson was ID’d by an employee of one of the places he allegedly used the card at.
Karma ain’t even close to punching your card yet, son.
Today, Michael John Anderson was supposed to have entered his plea in the murder of Katherine Ann Olson. He’s accused of killing her and hiding her body after she responded to a phony employment ad on craigslist placed by Anderson. However, the case has been continued until May 7th.
According to this article, the case was continued because prosecutors have requested more time to complete forensic testing.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about Kevin Ray Underwood. He’s the slimeball from Purcell, Oklahoma, who is accused of killing 10-year-old Jamie Rose Bolin so he could consume her flesh. That’s right folks. Kevin the Cannibal. It’s not the Hannibal Lecters you have to worry about, it’s the guy next door.
Anyway, a judge has made a decision on whether or not Underwood’s confession will be heard in court, but the decision has been sealed. It’s more than likely we won’t know the judge’s decision until the trial starts on the 19th.
Prosecutors say that Underwood freely confessed to the murder and gave permission to police to search his house after he asked for an attorney.
“When a defendant requests an attorney, you don’t have to get them one,” she said. “All that has to be done is to cease interrogation, and that was done.”
That quote was from Assistant District Attorney Susan Caswell.
The defense argues that…
While agents were not required to stop Underwood from talking about the crime after he asked for a lawyer, it does not mean that the testimony can be allowed in court.
Defense attorneys argued that the environment surrounding Underwood was designed to break his will, citing these reasons:
•Not securing Underwood in a holding cell;
•Delays getting booked into jail and being arraigned;
•Asking Underwood to sign a search waiver after he asked for a lawyer.
Defense lawyers argue that when someone invokes their constitutional rights, that means officers can’t question them any further and they can’t ask the suspect for permission to search their house.
Excuse me while I rant for just a moment.
How in the hell do these criminal defense attorneys sleep at night? This isn’t ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ we’re talking about. Underwood admits that he murdered a 10-year-old red-headed girl with freckles and glasses so he could cannibalize her corpse. Her body was found in his apartment. In my opinion, some criminals are beyond defense, and Underwood is one of them. As far as I’m concerned, he should be fed to a pack of wild dogs for what he did. Yet, these attorneys want to weasel their way to an acquittal, knowing full well what he’s guilty of. Maybe selling your soul makes it so you don’t require sleep. Maybe criminal defense attorneys like this are nothing more than the undead. The fact that this scumbag has even the slightest chance of being released scares me more than any vampire or zombie movie.
Anyway, the trial will take place in Norman, Oklahoma due to a change of venue request. I hope the change of scenery doesn’t help his case at all.
When you’re awaiting sentencing on federal drug and gun charges, the smart thing to do would be to not get arrested again on drug charges. Apparently, Jonesboro gunman Mitchell Johnson isn’t that smart.
He was arrested yet again Sunday night for being in possession of misdemeanor amounts of marijuana.
I’m sure the judge will take that into consideration at his sentencing.
Yesterday I posted about a mutant from Newark, Ohio named Patrick Gauchel and the classic signs of mutantdom he displayed by sending threatening messages to the lead Columbine investigator.
Now comes to us another article which displays an even deeper sign of mutantcy, claiming to have a personal relationship with one of the Columbine shooters.
In an exclusive interview with NBC4 on Saturday, Gauchel said he had correspondence with Eric Harris, one of the Columbine shooters. He told the station he was so upset about the way Battan conducted the investigation that he sent her threatening e-mails.
He said the e-mails contained things like, “I’ll pay someone to rape her,” NBC4 reported.
The station reported Gauchel said he had a fascination with the Columbine case, but his correspondence with Battan was “just e-mail.”
They always claim they knew Eric Harris for some reason, never Dylan Klebold. If as many people who claimed to have been friends with Eric Harris were actually friends with him, he would have been the most popular kid in Colorado.
You only have to go as far as my mail section to see other delusional souls such as this.
Michael John Anderson of Savage, Minnesota, is scheduled to appear in court this Tuesday to enter his plea. Anderson is accused of the murder of Katherine Ann Olson. Ms. Olson answered a fake ad on craigslist placed by Anderson advertising a nannying job. When Olson arrived for the ‘interview’ Anderson allegedly killed her by shooting her in the back and then disposed of her body.
If Anderson pleads not guilty, then a trial date will be set.
28-year-old Patrick James Gauchel of Newark, Ohio, has been arrested for sending threatening e-mails to an investigator of the Columbine massacre.
Gauchel is accused of sending “threatening, intimidating and retaliation-type messages” to Kate Battan, an investigator with the Jefferson County sheriff’s office in Golden, Colo., Newark Police Capt. Al Zellner said yesterday.
Gauchel did not know Battan but apparently was familiar with her role in investigating the massacre in Littleton, Colo., on April 20, 1999.
I can almost guarantee you that Gauchel is a mutant. E-mailing someone connected to the Columbine tragedy is like getting an autograph to them. Alvaro Castillo sent an e-mail to the principal of Columbine, Frank DeAngelis, before he went on his shooting spree. I know of at least one un-incarcerated mutant that e-mailed Mr. DeAngelis.
Mutants also think they have a better understanding of Columbine, even though none of them were there. But since most of them are mental midgets, they can’t get their point across without resorting to threats.
Getting back to Gauchel, he must have been 19 or 20 when Columbine happened. You would think one would be out of high school by that age, but you never know. I’m curious to see how Gauchel identifies with Columbine, considering he shouldn’t have even been in school when it happened.
Gauchel is looking at a max of 6 years behind bars.
From the state that brought you such ‘luminaries’ as Scott Shefelbine and David Leonard comes the story of one Christopher Griswold.
He’s a 21-year-old male from the Constitution State who caught by a 12-year-old girl’s mother trying to lure the 12-year-old for sex over MySpace.
Region 10 School Superintendent Alan Beitman had some great advice for parents that I’m sure will fall on deaf ears.
“Parents need to be sure their computer is in a place that’s visible” so they can keep some control over their children’s activities online, Beitman said. “They don’t have to sit with their children — just walk by the computer once in a while.”
By the way, Connecticut, how is all that new MySpace legislation working for you?
A bail reduction request for Heather Trujillo has been denied. She’s currently being held on $100K bond in the death of her sister Zoe Garcia. Trujillo and her 17-year-old boyfriend Lamar Roberts killed Garcia by allegedly imitating moves from a Mortal Kombat game.
16-year-old Trujillo has been charged as an adult and faces up to 48 years behind bars.
Pat from BelchSpeak was kind enough to send me this link to let me know that 29 years ago today was when Brenda Spencer opened fire on a San Diego elementary school that was across the street from her house. She ended up killing two and wounding nine.
Pat asked me whatever became of her and I directed him to this post from 3 years ago when she was last denied parole.
Pat, in his usual manner, replied…
What? she hasn’t been released yet because she was a child at the time of the shooting and there is not a shred of DNA evidence that says she did it??
Epic.
That’s the difference between now and then. Then there was no debate on what to do with a 16-year-old murderer. She was sentenced to life.
