Washington Teen Refuses to Tell Cops Why He Shot and Killed Fellow Student:

Douglas Chanthabouly, the 18-year-old gunman of the Foss High School shooting, refuses to give a motive behind his killing of Samnang Kok.

A teenager refused to tell police why he shot and killed a fellow student at Henry Foss High School, saying, “I can’t tell you why, I don’t want it in the news,” according to a probable cause statement filed Thursday.

The motive can’t stay secret for long. Any defense attorney worth his salt will have to use it as part of his defense. Plus, what will the school shooting apologists use as a rallying cry unless the motive is made public?

The article also details the shooting itself…

The probable cause statement, written by county Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Ed Murphy, said Chanthabouly “did not know Mr. Kok, but knew of him.” Witnesses told police that Chanthabouly pointed a handgun at Kok, said “What’s up?” and fired a shot into his face, Murphy wrote. Police believe the shot was fired from no more than a foot away.

The shooter stood over the body and fired twice more, hitting him in the lower left side and left buttock, the statement said.

Shot once in the face and then twice more when down. There’s no doubt in my mind that this shooting was very intentional.

I get the feeling that when the motive is known, that it will be something pettier than we’ve ever heard before.

  • Scott Shefelbine arrested yet again

    Scott Shefelbine arrested yet again

    Sex Suspect Faces New Charges:

I couldn’t make this one up if I wanted to.

One of our most notorious predators profiled here has been arrested yet again. Scott Shefelbine was arrested again this past Tuesday on eleven, that’s 11, XI, um…eleven-o, new charges…ah ah ah ah ah. *lightning strikes* Ahem.

For those of you that haven’t had the displeasure of reading about Mr. Shefelbine’s past transgressions click here. This time he’s been charged with five counts of first-degree sexual assault, three counts of illegal sale of liquor to a minor, attempt to commit first-degree sexual assault, kidnapping and unlawful restraint, and a partridge in a pear tree.

To make matters worse, he’s out…AGAIN!!! So far, he’s posted $1M in bail, this time it’s $250K. Or should I say his family has posted his bail…

Shefelbine, whose family operates a computer business, posted the new bail Tuesday. His next court appearance on the new charges is Jan. 26.

Two questions here. Why doesn’t the court hold him without bail? I mean, he’s shown he’s a definite risk to re-offend. Secondly, why does his family keep paying his bail? Fool me once and all that. They’ll be lucky if they don’t lose their business.

And to make two points that I’ve made before, at least he hasn’t been arrested as many times as Connecticut’s other serial molester, David Leonard. And for a state that is so down on MySpace, they sure have trouble keeping predators off the street.

Thanks to Robin for the link.

Chief: School shooting victim, suspect acquainted, but motive unknown:

Like the headline says, the Chief of Police Don Ramsdell in Tacoma says that the victim and the shooter in the Tacoma school shooting did know each other, but the motive is still unclear.

However, he says that the shooting does not appear to be gang or racial related. The victim of the shooting, 17-year-old Samnang Kok, left behind a 2-year-old son. The shooter, Douglas Chanthabouly, was arrested without incident, and the police recovered a handgun in the arrest. Chanthabouly did not have a criminal record.

  • Jonathan Zarate will NOT face the death penalty

Jonathan Zarate will NOT face the death penalty

    Slaying-dismembering: No capital case:

Excuse my language, but…fucking New Jersey.

Jonathan Zarate, the New Jersey teen who killed and dismembered 16-year-old Jennifer Parks, will not be facing the death penalty…

On the day a grand jury handed up murder indictments against Jonathan Zarate, 19, and his brother, James, 16, Prosecutor Michael M. Rubbinaccio said he could not seek a capital case because the crime’s most-heinous aspects occurred after Jennifer Parks was dead.

Citing state law, Rubbinaccio said prosecutors must establish the murder was “outrageously or wantonly vile, horrible or inhuman … and that it involved torture” to allow him to seek the death penalty.

“Certainly you can describe what took place after the homicide as being all those things,” Rubbinaccio said, referring to the dismemberment. “But that is not evidence of an aggravating factor that would trigger a capital case litigation.”

I don’t fault Mr. Rubbinaccio. I’m sure he did what he could. But the New Jersey law is so incredibly wrong on this. There is no justice for Jennifer Parks without the execution of Jonathan Zarate.

Mrs. Parks, I know you’re reading this, and I am truly sorry about this.

  • No bail for Teenybopper Killa

    No bail for Teenybopper Killa

Hearing set for ”Teenybopper Killa’ ”:

Darren Thompson, the self-proclaimed Teenybopper Killa, has been ordered held without bail until a dangerousness hearing for Thompson is held this Friday. To refresh your memory, Thompson was arrested after making violent threatening comments online about how he wanted to kill all the “preps” and “teenyboppers”. When police searched his house they found a cache of illegal weapons, including some that were homemade.

As mentioned before, Thompson is also a mutant of the highest order. Now we know a little bit more about his fascination with Columbine…

Police said Thompson’s journal also described how he intended to use the weapons and referenced Eric Harris, one of two teens who murdered 12 students and a teacher at Columbine High School in 1999, according to court documents.

“One day, there will be another school shooting on the news, I’ll laugh and SMILE and jump for joy the next time I hear about one,” Thompson allegedly wrote, according to court records.

“I could snipe you in the head with one shot and drag your body into the woods and no one would ever hear of you again,” he allegedly wrote.

When questioned by state police, Thompson admitted to admiring the Columbine killer.

Thompson became “visibly angry and started rocking back and forth in his chair, explaining how he was picked on by all the “preps” when he was younger,” during an interview with State trooper Matthew G. Murphy, court documents showed.

What’s sad is this fool graduated from college and had a job as a hotel chef. He was probably making better money than most of the “preps” that he went to school with. And the poor fool couldn’t let it go, and kept that hate inside of him all these years. What did it get him? Two counts of possession of a firearm without a permit, possession of a large capacity firearm, improper storage of a large capacity firearm, and a long stay at the Graybar Motel.
