  • Fry cook teased for living in trailer park

Teen Who Plotted N.Y. School Rampage Was Teased for Living in Trailer Park, Lawyer Says:

The younger of the two suspects in the Fry Cook Plot to attack Connetquot High School in Long Island is playing the bullying card in hopes of getting a lesser sentence.

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. — A teenager who admitted planning a violent rampage at a Long Island high school had been picked on for living in a trailer park, his lawyer said.

The boy was “constantly being berated as trailer trash,” lawyer Robert Gallo said. “He’s not an evil child. … He went through a lot to get where he is.”

The teen is frightened, remorseful and getting treatment at a psychiatric center, Gallo said.

“He’s aware he was planning on doing some pretty serious things,” the lawyer said. His client’s name hasn’t been released because of his age.

    Cry me a greasy river.

  • Edith Delgado sentenced

Redwood City teen gets three years for crash that killed two members of Tonga’s royal family:

Edith Delgado is the California woman who killed members of the Tongan Royal Family in a car crash when she was racing another car at excessive speeds. Yesterday she was sentenced to 3 years behind bars.

In being sentenced, Delgado received one year in jail for each victim.

Her attorney says he expects her to serve about one year, after receiving credit for the one year she spent behind bars awaiting trial.

Had Delgado been convicted of the more serious charges prosecutors had filed against her she would have faced up to eight years in prison.

A relative of the Royal Family had the following response

“Words cannot express how much loss this feels even after a year,” said Amelia Tupou Tonga, a cousin of the princess. “Our family suffers. Our country suffers. But we are a forgiving people, and all we want today is justice.”

  • A politician finally notices craigslist

Mayor rips craigslist over child prostitution:

Finally, a politician has noticed the wretched hive of scum and villainy that craigslist has become. And if anybody knows anything about scum and villainy it’s the mayor of Atlanta, Shirley Franklin. (That was a dig against the city, not necessarily the mayor.) Anyway, she has come out against craigslist accusing them of being facilitators in child prostitution.

“Children are being marketed through craigslist,” Franklin said Tuesday during an update on the mayor’s “Dear John” campaign, a crackdown on the city’s child prostitution industry.

Craigslist, found on the Web at craigslist.org, may be best known as a bulletin board for people who want to sell a car, buy a home or meet people. But Atlanta vice officer Kelleita Thurman said Tuesday that craigslist and similar sites account for 85 percent of the sexual liaisons men arrange in Atlanta with boys and girls.

In a letter sent Tuesday to the company, Franklin said the site could do more to prevent itself from being used “as a means of promoting and enabling child prostitution.” She called on the site to revise its warning on pages for erotic services and personal ads and to remove postings that offer sexual services for sale, among other things.

As usual, craigslist had their same non-answers…

Craigslist spokeswoman Susan MacTavish Best said in an e-mail that she and Chief Executive Officer Jim Buckmaster are in Europe and “neither of us are aware of such a letter so it would not be possible to comment about this.”

Company founder Craig Newmark, who also was mailed Franklin’s letter, no longer is involved in the company’s daily affairs and is traveling, Best said.

Maybe this is the first step in politicians recognizing what a crime-filled scumhole craigslist’s erotic services section is.

  • Internal Virginia Tech review

Virginia Tech probe finds no fault in massacre response:

An internal review by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, otherwise known as Virginia Tech, has assigned no blame to anyone for the school’s response on the day of the massacre.

“We at Virginia Tech have been forever changed by the crimes of this severely disturbed young man,” Steger said during a news conference Wednesday. VideoWatch Steger announce the results »

“He was determined to commit murder, planned the crime meticulously and managed to conceal his homicidal urges from all of law enforcement authorities, and the mental health experts who tried to help him and presumably from his own family,” Steger said.

The report released Wednesday says there was good cooperation and sound agreements between Virginia Tech and local police. It also says that the campus communications system was “dramatically stressed,” but performed adequately during the crisis. The review recommends replacing the entire system.

The report also goes on to state that the school needs to be more active in identifying “at risk” students like Cho. The thing is you’re never going to be able to find these students 100% of the time. Not only that but I think these kinds of recommendations sound great after a tragedy like this happens but in reality it’s just closing the barn door after the horses have gotten out.

  • A mutant killed Cassie Jo Stoddart

State Presents Sentencing Recommendation for Draper:

I hadn’t heard about the murder of Cassie Jo Stoddart until today. She was a 16-year-old Idaho girl who was brutally murdered by two people she thought were her friends, Brian Draper, and Torey Adamcik. The murder was more than vicious and the two teens actually videotaped the murder.

“Just killed Cassie, we just left her house, this is not a f***ing joke,” says Brian Draper on the homemade videotape. “I’m shaking,” replies Adamcik.”I stabbed her in the throat and I saw her lifeless body just disappear,” says Draper.

Both were tried as adults and convicted. Currently, they are going through the sentencing phase.

And guess what. It turns out one of them, Brian Draper, is a full-fledged mutant.

This is a passage written by Draper that was shown in court today. Titled Columbine, it reads: “I am becoming more and more obsessed with Columbine. It seems now that that’s all I think about. I would give anything to go back in time, and be a part of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold’s lives. They are my heroes. I will follow in their footsteps and maybe I’ll even meet them.”

A series of some pictures that were also found on the hard drive of Draper’s laptop were displayed.

Many were from the Columbine shooting; others depicted various ages and types of people holding a gun to their head.

Too bad he can’t meet his heroes sooner rather than later.

  • Update on Dunbar Village suspects

DNA evidence led to teens in Dunbar Village rape:

One of the suspects in the Dunbar Village gang rape has confessed to his involvement once the police confronted him with the DNA evidence that placed him at the crime scene.

During a six-hour interview with police, Avion Lawson, 14, the first to be charged in the case, confessed his involvement after being told his DNA was inside a condom found in the victim’s home. En route to the Juvenile Assessment Center, Lawson called some friends and did not sound remorseful, according to police. His lawyer, Bert Winkler, declined to comment on the evidence.

Next up is one of his accomplices, Nathan Walker…

The next to be charged was Nathan Walker, a 16-year-old who dropped out of the seventh grade after three attempts to pass. Walker’s latent fingerprint was found at the scene along with his DNA on the outside of the same condom linked to Lawson, according to the documents.

Walker became so agitated at the police station that he had to be placed in handcuffs and leg restraints after he began throwing chairs at the walls and door, according to documents. His lawyer, Robert Gershman, has asked for a mental health evaluation of his client.

How the hell did his DNA get on the outside of the same condom that Lawson used? Scratch that. I don’t really want to know.

And now the best part if there can be a best part in this twisted saga. 15-year-old Jakaris Taylor caught hell from his mother over his involvement.

Jakaris Taylor, 15, was arrested July 12. A resident of Dunbar Village, he said his brother played with the 12-year-old victim, though Taylor denied ever being in the apartment. His mother, Jacqueline Minor, encouraged Taylor to give police a DNA sample. Lab results showed Taylor’s latent print inside the home, near Lawson’s and Walker’s.

Minor was livid at her son, according to police.

“Jacqueline yelled at Jakaris and told him she hoped he would never get one night of sleep and that he sees [the victims] every night when he tries to sleep,” a report stated.

Such a refreshing change from the usual “not my kid” syndrome.

  • Status of Dunbar Village victim

Boyfriend of Dunbar gang rape victim speaks out:

The boyfriend of the mother who was one of the victims in the Dunbar Village gang rape speaks out and tells us the condition of the boy who was forced to have sex with his mother.

The victim of a reported gang rape is working hard to deal with what happened, but her 12-year-old son is not faring quite as well, according to the woman’s boyfriend.

“She goes to counseling with the little boy,” the 36-year-old said. “The boy, he’s still grieving. He cannot accept that he had sex with his mama. Nobody can talk to him. He feels like nobody loves him. I don’t think there’s no way that little boy is ever going to forget that.”

He and the child’s mother have been trying to prepare the 12-year-old for the seventh grade, which starts today

“He wanted his mama to go to school with him,” he said. “He’s afraid to be by himself. He’s going to go to school, but he’s just not happy.”

I can’t even imagine the trauma this poor boy is going through. Whatever punishment the animals that did this to them receive will never be enough to make up what they did to this family.

  • Joshua Innes sentenced.

    Nine years:

I originally posted about Joshua Innes here. He’s the 25-year-old creep from Montreal who blackmailed underage girls into stripping for him using the Canadian social site Nexopia.

He was sentenced to 9 years behind bars by an Edmonton judge.

Provincial court Judge James Wheatley said Joshua Innes’ crimes are “unprecedented” and that other predators must be deterred from following suit.

I don’t think a nine-year sentence is going to be enough to discourage these kinds of predators.

  • Henderson jurors defend decision

    Jurors defend penalty process:

This is an article about the jury defending its position on not sending Richard Henderson Jr. to death row.

After hours of determining his guilt, it took the jury fewer than 10 minutes to decide on a recommendation for Henderson’s punishment. Staples said nine jurors voted for life and three voted for death.

The brevity of the deliberations stemmed from conversations the group had earlier while determining whether to convict Henderson, Staples said. Jury members had discussed issues that would affect the penalty phase.

“In looking at it, a majority of us found that the death penalty was not appropriate in this case,” Staples said.

For Staples and the majority who voted for life, these mitigating factors stood out:

    • Henderson’s criminal history: As far as the jury knew, he did not have a violent past.

    • His love for his family: “Not one witness said he had (serious) problems with his family,” Staples said. “There was clear testimony all around he loved them.”

    • His mental illness: “He didn’t get the care he needed,” Staples said, referring to Henderson’s psychiatric history. “Some, he sabotaged or didn’t want, yeah, but he was a kid and there was some responsibility on his parents and society to help him.”

Some testimony during the punishment phase of the trial also had an impact on why the jury did not recommend death, Staples said.

For example, Henderson’s grandfather, Loyal Stringer, described Henderson as “good guy.”

“It’s a tragic loss, but when his grandparents took the stand and proved they could still love him despite what has happened – that speaks toward what we had already thought.” Staples said. “That confirms our belief he wasn’t a cold, calculating monster.”

How could the death penalty not apply? How many of his family would he have had to bludgeon to death before the death penalty applied? If he really loved his family HE WOULDN’T HAVE BEAT THEM TO DEATH WITH A PIPE! He did have a violent criminal history. He planned to shoot up a high school or was the jury not told that part? And the juror basically contradicted himself in the quote about mental illness. If he sabotaged his own treatment then he was well aware of what was going on around him.

It’s not the gravest of injustices because Henderson did receive four life sentences. However, I think Henderson more than deserved the death penalty and the jury’s reasoning behind not giving it to him was flawed.

  • Possible motive in Dunbar Village rape

Untold details of horror unfold in new report on Dunbar attack:

Here is allegedly the motive as to why a gang of thugs gang-raped a mother and forced her to have sex with her son…

“She believed they were targeted because she called the police some time ago because three people threw garbage around her apartment complex,” according to the report.

That, and she would not allow her son to associate with residents of another apartment in her building.

Take this whatever way you want but these thugs are nothing more than savages that should be removed from society anyway possible.
