  • Penn. to appeal cop killer’s sentence

US Supreme Court asked to review Black Panther death sentence:

Pennsylvania has asked the US Supreme court to review the decision that overturned the death sentence of convicted cop killing scumbag Mumia Abu Jamal.

Recently Jamal’s request for a new trial was rejected.

Since he was convicted back in the early ’80s if his death sentence is reinstated can they use the method of execution from the early ’80s? Lethal injection is way too humane for this scumbag.

  • Scott Shefelbine sentenced

Tolland Man Sentenced 20 Years For Sexual Assault:

One of the earliest MySpace predators that I posted about at this site was one Scott Shefelbine. He’s the balding man in his 30’s who would convince teenage girls that he was 19 and would have sex with them. And if they didn’t comply Shefelbine would turn violent.

To my recollection, he was arrested at least a dozen times and for most of them, his parents would post bail only have him to re-offend before trial. Eventually, his bond was revoked.

Well, today is sort of a joyous day as Shefelbine was sentenced to 20 years behind bars today. If he gets out he’ll be on probation for another 10 years and will be a registered sex offender.

Shefelbine’s dad, who was arrested him himself for hitting a TV reporter, was still in denial over his son’s actions saying that it was simply a case of ‘normal courtship gone awry’. Over a dozen times? If that was my dad he would have said ‘Only 20 years? Give ’em more!

This case also caught my attention because Connecticut’s Attorney General, Richard Blumenthal, was constantly in the press for being tough on MySpace yet it takes a predator in his own state to be arrested a dozen times before he stops offending.

  • NJ flu-shot mandate for preschoolers draws outcry

    Link

As flu season approaches, many New Jersey parents are furious over a first-in-the-nation requirement that children get a flu shot in order to attend preschools and day-care centers. The decision should be the parents’, not the state’s, they contend.

“This is not an anti-vaccine rally — it’s a freedom of choice rally,” said one of the organizers, Louise Habakus. “This one-size-fits-all approach is really very anti-American.”

    Yet check out the sign…

This wasn’t a freedom of choice rally, it was a junk science rally. I applaud New Jersey for trying to prevent a pandemic. Personally, if I ran a daycare I’d say no vaccine no daycare.

  • 3rd arrest in Brooke Bennett case

S.A. man tied to Vermont sex assault case:

A 3rd man has been arrested in connection with the disappearance and death of 12-year-old Brooke Bennett of Vermont.

58-year-old Kevin D. Grosenheider of San Antonio, Texas was arrested for helping Brooke’s former stepfather, Ray Gagnon, dispose of evidence. Gagnon rented a room from Grosenheider and had asked him to dispose of Gagnon’s computer which is alleged to have contained child porn.

Now here’s where it gets into Whiskey Tango Foxtrot territory…

Gagnon had showed him and a co-worker images of child pornography that Gagnon had received on his cell phone. The affidavit said the images were of a girl in Vermont whom Gagnon claimed to have had sex with. Grosenheider also told agents he later saw the images on Gagnon’s computer at the home on Timber Pond Road, and that Gagnon detailed the sexual assault of the girl to Grosenheider.

Why the hell didn’t Grosenheider go to the police then? If I was renting a room out to someone who turned out to be a pedophile the cops would be there so fast he wouldn’t have known what hit him. Maybe if he called the police Jacques would have heard about Gagnon’s arrest and would have been scared off from kidnapping and killing Brooke Bennett.

  • Werribee assailant wants film career

Werribee sex DVD maker aims to direct films:

Remember the story from last year about the kids from Werribee in Australia? They were the ones who filmed themselves sexually assaulting a developmentally challenged girl. Then they sold the DVD, entitled ‘C**t the Movie’, to their classmates through MySpace.

They basically got off with a slap on their collective wrists. Now one of them fancies himself a filmmaker.

“I came runner-up in a film festival for a film about my sister,” he told the Herald Sun.

“It’s all going really, really good at the moment.

“I’m still in school, I’m writing some more short films at the moment and I’ve just done a Ford commercial.

“I’ve got plenty of time and I’m just trying my best.”

Meanwhile, the victim still has to live with the humiliation for the rest of her life.

    Nice job Werribee.

  • Mich. Breeders lose kids

Parents who left teen under safe haven law lose custody:

Remember the Michigan Breeders who drove all the way to Omaha to teach their kid ‘a lesson’? I guess that lesson is don’t take advantage of another state’s safe haven laws just to be an asshat. The Breeders in question have lost custody of not only their 13-year-old son that they dropped off in Omaha but they also lost custody of their 10 and 5-year-old sons and 3-year-old daughter.

The Breeders, Terri, and Terrance Martin have had been visited by DHS in the past for injuries to the teen.

  • Casey Anthony can be convicted without a body

Trying Caylee’s mom harder without a body:

I know I said I wouldn’t post about Casey Anthony anymore but this is an issue that drives me insane.

I can’t stand it when everyone and their grandmother claims that you can’t convict without a body. While risky it’s not impossible and more common than you think.

Off the top of my head, I can name two cases where people were convicted without a body. The first is Tom Capano. The body of Ann Marie Fahey was never found. The second one that comes to recent memory was that of Hans Reiser. All of his supporters claimed that you can’t convict without the body of his wife Nina. After he was convicted he led police to his wife’s body.

There’s another case that the names of those involved escape me at this time but basically a guy from New Orleans went around bragging about killing a girl who no one even knew existed. Prosecutors in N.O. were able to convict him as well.

I think the Caylee Anthony disappearance fits very well next to those other cases. The only thing that will free Casey Anthony is if Caylee shows up alive and well. I think the odds of that happening are slim and none and slim just left.

  • More on Marko

Slaying Suspect Mother Says Son Should Get Death Penalty:

The mother of Robert Hull Marko believes her own son should get the death penalty for what he allegedly did to Judi Lawrence.

If you’ll recall 21-year-old soldier Marko met 19-year-old Judi Lawrence over MySpace. He’s accused of taking the developmentally challenged girl up to the mountains in Colorado, having ‘rough sex’ with her (ie, rape) and slitting her throat.

On Marko’s MySpace his mom, Elizabeth Hull, left the following comment on his MySpace…

“Open (your) eyes up. This could have been one of you. I am devastated by what my son has done and I will never know how her poor mother must be going through right now, but he has not only destroyed his (life) but he has destroyed her family and his own family. I believe with all of my heart even though I am his mother I will always love him, but he deserves the death penalty for what he has done.”

If you’ll remember yesterday when I checked Marko’s MySpace there was at least one female who was swearing her undying allegiance to him.

In interviews with Ms. Hull, she reiterated her stance even though she removed the comment from his MySpace.

Marko also bragged of killing people in Iraq but there is no proof that ever happened.

Colorado does, in fact, have the death penalty but have only executed 1 person since 1977.

Personally, I think Marko should be #2 but I won’t hold my breath on that one.

  • Registered sex offender ran ‘business’ on MySpace

Attorney General Arrests Sex Offender Running “Exotic Dancer” Business Through MySpace.com:

I don’t think the AG arrested him personally but you get the idea.

Anyway, 34-year-old Clarence Augustine of Dallas, TX was arrested for running a ‘modeling and exotic dancer’ *cough*human trafficking*cough* service through MySpace called Erotiq Entertainment.

To make matters worse Augustine is a registered sex offender. He was sent to jail in 1999 for three years for sexually assaulting an underage girl. Then after his release, he didn’t comply with his required sex offender registration requirements.

A sex offender re-offending. Who would have thought? What ‘they’ need to do is start making SO colonies kind of like the leper colonies of old. This way everyone will know where they are at all times.

  • Mich. teen was dropped of in Neb. to be taught a lesson

Michigan mother may have used safe haven law as lesson:

Remember when I posted about the kid from Michigan who was dropped off in Nebraska? When I was posting it I thought there was no way that this was just to teach the kid a lesson like the kid from Iowa. Well, I was wrong.

The female Breeder, plus a grand-Breeder, and an aunt, all from Michigan, traveled all that way to Omaha just to teach her kid a lesson. Can you possibly imagine how that kid must have been feeling on the 11-hour car ride from Detroit to Omaha? That’s child abuse in itself.

The boy was dropped off with luggage, additional clothing and $10, the affidavit says. He told police that his mother “has high stress” and “couldn’t deal with him anymore,” the affidavit says.

So you don’t think that dropping this kid off a couple of states away wasn’t high stress for him?

I seriously hope both states file charges against this Breeder.
