Slaying Suspect Mother Says Son Should Get Death Penalty:

The mother of Robert Hull Marko believes her own son should get the death penalty for what he allegedly did to Judi Lawrence.

If you’ll recall 21-year-old soldier Marko met 19-year-old Judi Lawrence over MySpace. He’s accused of taking the developmentally challenged girl up to the mountains in Colorado, having ‘rough sex’ with her (ie, rape) and slitting her throat.

On Marko’s MySpace his mom, Elizabeth Hull, left the following comment on his MySpace…

“Open (your) eyes up. This could have been one of you. I am devastated by what my son has done and I will never know how her poor mother must be going through right now, but he has not only destroyed his (life) but he has destroyed her family and his own family. I believe with all of my heart even though I am his mother I will always love him, but he deserves the death penalty for what he has done.”

If you’ll remember yesterday when I checked Marko’s MySpace there was at least one female who was swearing her undying allegiance to him.

In interviews with Ms. Hull, she reiterated her stance even though she removed the comment from his MySpace.

Marko also bragged of killing people in Iraq but there is no proof that ever happened.

Colorado does, in fact, have the death penalty but have only executed 1 person since 1977.

Personally, I think Marko should be #2 but I won’t hold my breath on that one.

It has taken great courage to say put put my son to death because there is no hope left for him. I commend this mother for doing the impossible, acknowledging that she gave birth to a “bad seed”. It doesn’t speak bad of her at all, if anything it speaks volumnes of her integrity, and belief in right and wrong. Only a parent truly knows their child, and if she says he needs to die, then trust me, he needs to die. We can say all we want but we really are going by hearsay and reports, not by facts and situations throughout this killers life like his mother would.
I have been in her shoes but the killer was my mother, and it doesn’t mean I stopped loving her, it meant I believe with all my heart and soul that she did horrifically wrong in killing my sister, and deserved to die for her crime. When the verdict was passed down as the sole vindicator for my sister, everyone thought I would rejoice in her pending death—I cried as if I had lost my best friend, because in a way I had, yet sometimes we are tested and called upon to do the impossible and very few can say they belong to that “club”, the club of honesty, integrity, moral, strength, beyond any call of duty, and acknowledgement of the facts and the crimes.
I wish her peace in her spirit, it will eventually come but I agree this man needs to die. He has crossed the line between human and animal, and no longer is alive with compassion, empathy, sorrow, fear, concious[sic], lawful and moralistic spirits but instead that of a killer who is more animal then human. In farm families when an animal kills another animal such as a dog killing a kitten etc….that animal is instantly put to death, because they crossed the line of no return—-that is where this killer is, in the land of no-return, and nothing we do will save him, but putting him to death will further save us and our daughters. I say kill him.

It’s interesting that you mention having a colony of sorts for sex offenders so everyone knows where they are. A few years back, I had a friend who worked at a house where sex offenders released from jail lived. The concept was to keep tabs on them, know when they weren’t home, and to keep them together and away from neighborhoods with schools and families.

The house had to be shut down, because of protesters and violent demonstrators who felt threatend and angry.

Often times, sex offenders move from their registered addresses without notifying authorities. It can weeks, months, or after a child is assualted before registration catches up with them.

As a mother, I would feel much more comfortable if released offenders were kept together and kept away from my family.
