Stiff sentence wanted for Jonesboro gunman

Strict sentencing sought in Johnson case:

Prosecutors in the federal gun and drug trial of Jonesboro shooter Mitchell Johnson have filed a motion asking for an ‘upward departure’ in Johnson’s sentencing.

Sentencing is scheduled for this Thursday and Johnson is looking at 10 years.

In their request, prosecutors noted that Johnson was arrested on theft charges while awaiting sentencing on the gun charges.
