Tobin Kerns sentenced

Teen convicted of massacre plot gets 10 months in jail:

Tobin Kerns has been sentenced to 10 months behind bars with five months time served for his alleged part in a plot to attack Marshfield High School in Massachusetts. For the first time in my blogging career, I actually mean alleged because it was never proven to my satisfaction that he had an active role in the plot. Unfortunately, I’m not the judge in the case and I think Judge Louis Coffin has been blinded by politics. Like I’ve said numerous times before when discussing the Marshfield plot I think there is definitely some chicanery going on considering that the other suspect in this plot is Joe Nee, the son of the head of the Boston police union. His trial is scheduled to start on Jan 30th. Since Tobin was sentenced to 10 months Joe Nee should be sentenced to 10 years. In my opinion, it’s his fault that Tobin has to spend even a day in jail since I consider him the actual mastermind behind the plot. In my opinion he turned Tobin in to deflect blame from himself. As usual, you can see my previous postings on this in the archives.

The fact that Tobin has to spend even one day in jail is a travesty of justice.

I agree with you. I believe Kerns may have been involved at some point but backed out and was probably going to go to the police so the other boys beat him to the punch. How could two boys were equally involved get immunity? I think that woudl give them great incencitive to keep lying. I hope when he gets out Kerns will be able to live a productive life even though him being a convicted felon will make it hard for him to find work.

The Massachusetts Highest Court — 7 or 8 judges m ust be in on the “conspiracy” against your friend Toby too becuase they wrote in their decision that: “The Commonwealth presented evidence that the defendant(Toby), in the winter and spring of 2004, was an integral member of a core group of friends who plotted to use firearms and deadly explosives to kill students, teachers, resource officers, and administrators on April 15, 2005, at the high school, and to inflict extensive property damage there.”
You didn’t hear the evidence, you don’t know this judge, and you’ve decided the case based on . . . what?

That’s funny. I thought the SJC ruled on what law Tobin could be convicted under not his guilt or innocence. That job belonged to Judge Coffin.

Do I believe Kerns was involved at one point in time. Yes? Do I believe he backed out after he got help? Yes, and I firmly believe the others went to the cops first because he was probably going to go to the police. even the judge said he believed Tobin’s involvment ended at some point while the others continued. That being the case, why the heck were the other two given immunity?

I wish i could tell you everything, honestly but it would require writing a novel at this point. What I do want to say is that all of you who truely beleive Tobin’s innocence, you are right. i am extremely close with him, but even as an outsider i would be able to see he is a very intelligent, good hearted person. Joe Nee is a sick sadistic bad excuse for a person. the first time i met joe he said something in german to me. i asked what it ment and he laughed a little and said ‘oh nothing’. he asked someone i know who often goes to boston to get him guns. they laughed in his face. Again … i shouldn’t go on but Tobin is a good person, and because of that he will find peace when he is finally home. he is a very strong person who’s gotten through this so far and he’ll do it unitl it’s over. as for Joe, i will personally make it my goal to make sure he sees the inside of a cell for the majoraty of his life. he deserves nothing more.
