A Year After Ashton Glover’s Death, Two Neighbors Face October Murder Trail:
A lot of people have been asking me lately if I’ve heard about a trial date for Sean Brown and Matt McCombs. They’re the alleged killers of Ashton Glover. They were friends of Ashton, who shot her in the head out of “morbid curiosity”.
Anyway, the trial is set for the first week of October. They’re both facing first-degree murder charges. I don’t know if prosecutors will be seeking the death penalty or not.
i remember how hard we all worked posting bulletins trying to help find ashton.
then the day the news came in that they had found her. *tears*
all the love that was left on her blogs.
all the anger left on killers. i clearly remember how wack the page was of one of the killers and that his last sign on date was the day they found ashton.
even more so, i remember how sweet ashton’s page was/is.

I THINK IT IS SO UNFAIR THAT MATTHEW MCCOMBS ONLY RECEIVED 50 YEARS FOR TAKING ASHTON’S LIFE…THEY SHOULD HAVE GIVEN HIM THE DEATH PENALTY WITH NO PROBLEM. KILLING SOMEONE IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO BUT, KILLING SOMEONE JUST FOR MORBID CURIOUSITY PROVES HOW TWISTED THOSE TWO INDIVIDUALS REALLY ARE. THEY SHOULD BE PUT AWAY FOR LIFE WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROL AT THE LEAST. I KNEW BOTH OF THEM FROM SCHOOL AND THEY WERE ALWAYS SO NICE. I GUESS YOU REALLY NEVER KNOW ANYBODY. I ALSO KNEW ASHTON AND SHE WAS JUST THE SWEETEST AND HAPPIEST PERSON THAT I HAVE EVER KNOWN. I KNOW THAT PUTTING THOSE BOYS TO DEATH WILL NOT BRING HER BACK BUT ATLEAST THEY WILL TRULY PAY FOR WHAT THEY DID.
Sean Brown, one of Ashton Glover’s killers was sentenced in March of 2008 to ten years in prison. At the time of his plea bargain, Ashton’s family was led to believe that Sean Brown would not be eligible for parole for five years.
Now, Sean Brown is up for parole in January of 2009, after serving only TEN MONTHS of his TEN YEAR SENTENCE.
This “man” is every bit as guilty as his cohort Matthew McCombs who pulled the trigger. Sean Brown and Matthew McCombs need to stay locked up for the rest of their lives…not just a few months.
Who of us can be safe, when men who gleefully kill their own friends just for the fun of it walk free? What would they do to a stranger? What would they do to your child?
