Cho may have been bullied. Boo hoo.

Va. Tech Shooter Was Laughed At:

It was inevitable, wasn’t it?

Now the claims are being made that history’s most prolific coward was bullied.

Long before he snapped, Virginia Tech gunman Cho Seung-Hui was picked on, pushed around and laughed at over his shyness and the strange way he talked when he was a schoolboy in the Washington suburbs, former classmates say.

Chris Davids, a Virginia Tech senior who graduated from Westfield High School in Chantilly, Va., with Cho in 2003, recalled that the South Korean immigrant almost never opened his mouth and would ignore attempts to strike up a conversation.

Once, in English class, the teacher had the students read aloud, and when it was Cho’s turn, he just looked down in silence, Davids recalled. Finally, after the teacher threatened him with an F for participation, Cho started to read in a strange, deep voice that sounded “like he had something in his mouth,” Davids said.

“As soon as he started reading, the whole class started laughing and pointing and saying, `Go back to China,’” Davids said.

Stephanie Roberts, 22, a fellow member of Cho’s graduating class at Westfield High, said she never witnessed anyone picking on Cho in high school.

“I just remember he was a shy kid who didn’t really want to talk to anybody,” she said. “I guess a lot of people felt like maybe there was a language barrier.”

But she said friends of hers who went to middle school with Cho told her they recalled him getting picked on there.

“There were just some people who were really mean to him and they would push him down and laugh at him,” Roberts said Wednesday. “He didn’t speak English really well and they would really make fun of him.”

Three words for you. “Suck it up.” It ended 4 years ago. What a selfish, egomaniacal, self-centered, piece of crap. He’s also another mutant freak that bought into the Columbine bullying myth. He didn’t have the stones to stand up to his attackers so he killed 31 innocent victims four freakin’ years later. When did we start raising a generation of emotional cripples who think the entire fucking universe revolves around them?

This cowardly scumbag, who by the way is rotting in hell, will no doubt receive unwarranted canonization from the vultures who will pick at his corpse to satisfy their inane agenda, whether it’s the anti-anti-depressant Luddites or the soccer mom’s whose kids are too weak to stand up for themselves.

Listen up good all you snot nose little punks who think they can identify with this coward. I lived through bullying. I had enough concussions and broken bones to show for it. You can get through school without having to resort to violence. Once high school is over you never have to deal with that crap again. Or you can be a selfish little bitch. Your decision.

I have a fan base of around 10,000 kids nationwide.

You have four losers who agree with you.

I love this site! Reminds me who we’re fighting against!

-A coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero dies but once.

Eric and Dylan died fighting oppression.

You die a little every day you have to look in the mirror and see you’re half the man they were. You’ve accomplished nothing played some video games, jerked off under your bed sheets, worked a dead end job. The highlight of your year was beating Halo 2.

    Where is your legacy?

I don’t think I would have phrased it quite like that myself, but I agree with every word you say. I was also bullied at school, – and I never killed anybody. In fact, I think I may be more tolerant for it. (Wonder upon wonders!)

Sorry Jackie. I’m just a little on edge lately.

Well, I was picked on (never bullied) over my voice which never cracked even when I took choir. So it doesn’t have that deep male voice that i should have but instead have a more higher voice. So sometimes I get mistakenly called ma’am on the phone (it doesn’t help hat my name is gender neutral either). BUt on the bright side I can still sing soprano and I do like my voice (and others around me do too)

Don’t be sorry. It was very predictable that some story about bullying would surface in the wake of this disaster. It is good to know that the vast majority of the bullied know that “Living well is the best revenge.” (George Herbert)

I agree that bullying is never an excuse to kill. But bullying often kills, maybe its time we stop telling kids to toughen up and to just get over it.

To give you a hint of how many kids bullying has killed heres just a few names of many: Jared High, Roger Hillyard, Samantha and Michaela Kendal, Darren Steele, Stephen Woodhall, Kelly Yeomans, Katherine Jane Morrison, Vijay Singh Shahiri, Marie McGovern, Lynette McLaughlin, Amanda Brownridge, Kelly Farrar, Mark MacLaglan, James Lambeth, Daniel Overfield, Denise Baillie, Tom Brough, Jamie Evans, Suzie Barclay, Jemma Brine-Daniels, Alistair Hunter, Marie Bentham, Joseph Daniel Scruggs, Ryan Patrick Halligan, and the list goes on and on. Every single one of those kids was killed by bullying before they’re 18th birthday.

Bryan is trying to plug away at his agenda here too by listing his own list of martyrs. Stop using other peoples’ blogs to push your obsession.

Anyways, if you notice, there is not a single eyewitness who actually saw any bullying going on. It was a friend of a friend, and there were jokes about his voice after he refused to participate in a class. Hardly what anyone would call bullying at all.

Im beginning to think that he made up a list of grievances to give himself an excuse to go postal.

  8. BelchSpeak Avatar

Oh, and Bryan’s so-called list is just a long list of unsubstantiated “suicides” supposedly caused by bullying. Its internet lore, nothing more. There are no news articles anywhere to support any of those claims.

So just like Bryan’s fake autism, the list of bully victims is also fake. Or should we call it a list of people who committed suicide correctly by not taking their classmates with them? 😀

Actually quite a few of those kids had their parents write a book about them, though your right, thats not true with every single one of them.

Though if you want to say they are all fake, email Brenda High (mother of Jared High) at brenda@jaredstory.com, and call her a liar, I am sure she will love you for it. I am sure she would love to hear your final sentence there.

Though just curious, most of those kids were Brittish and died before 2000, are you sure your looking at the right news sources, I checked a few of them and got them confirmed, feel free to check more though its quite outdated. Though it would be really funny if you told me no one was ever killed by bullying.

And just curious, this isn’t your blog, but yet you are coming on here to continue your vendetta against me in a message that has nothing to do with me (but has everything to do with bullying). Maybe you should practice what you preach when it comes to “Stop using other peoples’ blogs to push your obsession.” :).

Actually, no, the majority of those kids did commit suicide from bullying BelchSpeak. Their’s substanial documented evidence to back it up too. Would you like some links?

Although I don’t think that bullying contributed to this shooting. For God’s sake, people tried to talk to him. They tried to be nice to him, from what I hear. He IGNORED them. It’s his loss, his fault that he didn’t feel connected. I could understand a little more if he tried to connect and no one let him, but people did reach out to him. Just because he ignored them doesn’t make them bullies.

Actually it wasn’t boo hoo for Cho but bang bang. Need to look for one of the contributing factors for pushing one of the way too many bullied kids over the edge? Shake hands with yourself Mr. Sympathetic Humanitarian. LOL

I was bullied in elementary school and high school. I’ve had problems with depression and social anxiety and I believe my experiences in school are one of the main reasons. But I’ve never killed anyone! Being bullied is a horrible thing to go through but it’s not an excuse to go on a violent rampage like Cho did. From a lot of the news accounts, it sounds like he was the one being a bully by harassing female students and doing other threatening things.

ahm, bullying that result to choe’s killing of 32 is that, it’s only way that we must respect every people black, white, asian or for short we must do’t descriminate for what they have, there culture there religion, just like for instance for the rappers lot of them used there music to revenge there bullies or the one who descriminate them like for example that they are come from africa and they are ugly an so what was that for, as you know there are lot of rappers succesfully known just like 50 cent and etc. so for short we must respect, peace am out….

Bottom Line: We all need to preach to our children that bullying is not cool. We need to teach our children to stand up for those that are picked on and raise their spirits. Each and everyone of us who has children are responsible for their up bringing. If each of us do our part and teach our children to be kind to one another regardless of race, religion, background, and culture, the likihood of an event like this from happening would have been minimal. TEACH OUR CHILDREN AT YOUNG, VERY YOUNG and MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND.

Seriously. Boo hoo is all you are saying? People have no right to make such prejudiced comments and decisions based on their ignorance. I doubt that many of you actually know what he went though. Most prolific coward? I do not agree with the killing but if he suffered such excessive bullying through his whole childhood and growing up process, there’s no doubt that he would be different from some other people were actually able to enjoy their childhood and that few of these people would understand what he has goine through

Ever stop to consider that perhaps…just perhaps…that strange, anti-social behavior is WHY some of these folks get picked on?

If you act like you hate everyone and don’t want people to associate with you, dress and act like a vampire, cut yourself, and exhibit other strange very non-normal behaviors…people just might think you are strange and avoid you and yes….even talk about you and say things about you and to you? If you make no effort to make friends or fit in and make every effort to be “different” and to shock…you shouldn’t really be surprised to find yourself alone and ridiculed at some point. That’s life. Welcome to the real world.

  19. deering Avatar
    deering

Oh, please, Zappa–that’s bullshit. _Anything_ can make other kids bully you if they are mean/stupid enough. When I was in school, being lousy at gym guaranteed you would be picked on your entire high-school career. If you didn’t wear the “right” clothes, or if you bought soup to school in a Thermos (seriously!), or answered the teacher too much in class, that was grounds for getting grief, as well. I had friends at school, but I still got picked on because I was bookish and didn’t wear the same thing everyone else wore. What are you suggesting–that schools initiate a “code of conformity” so students will know the “right” things to think, say, and wear?

  20. Morpheus Avatar
    Morpheus

You’re both right, Zappa and deering. I got somewhat picked on in high school because I was shy (not quite to the level that Cho was). I was overall happy though, and got to be even more happy as I got over my shyness and branched out. Didn’t kill anyone over being teased though.

In all seriousness though, I think we need to have more sympathy towards kids who are picked on and not killing/threatening other people (at which point, they become bullies not worth my time/sympathy). Too often, people become so angry with school shooters who claim bullying as a motive, they begin to develop the attitude of “fuck all bullied kids, they’re little bitches that deserve what they get”, when the reality, in most cases, is so far from that statement. Yes, there are those losers that are obsessed with the delusion that they are vampires. Yes, they’re people like Cho who are are rude and have mean streaks and psychopathic behavior and stalk women and pull other nasty shit like that, but what about kids like those Endersdragon listed? The documented evidence shows that those kids were nice, happy, kids with 1 or 2 flaws that insecure but socially/physically powerful kids honed in on and didn’t let go. Where’s their sympathy? Are they little bitches that deserved what they got? No, not at all.

It’s time that we cracked down on bullying behavior in our schools. It’s time that we stood up and said “Enough is enough”. It’s time to make so that physical assaults (excluding consensual roughhousing) on school property a criminal act. You want to hold teenage school shooters legally responsible as adults? I totally agree, but it’s also time to hold teen bullies accountable for their actions too, in the same exact way. I think we can all agree on that.

Looking different is a problem to start with. I am Asian and I have grown up among Whites I know how it feels.

Bullying sucks. It is evil and drives people to suicide or school shootings. Like sexual abuse, the effects are life long.

Its just too bad that when he did his dirty deeds Cho Hui wasn’t able to take a repugtard asshole bully like Belchspeak with him.

I was the most hated person in school… and I totally loved it. I was proud to be different and I realized that those that slandered me were just insecure bitter people who hated the freedom to be different and pushed their feelings of wanting to fit in and belong to others. So when I hear this I can’t help but think, cho dude, you were in the spotlight cause you were different you could have turned around the negativity that brought for your benefit by proving those around you wrong and being proud of your bilingualism…I mean for shits sake your english in the end was perfect and language use more complex than the average american. To be able to master two languages is an achievment. The best revenge is having a great life..not being bitter and killing yourself, and 32 others. That means they in fact won, not you dumbass.

For the person that said white people are the most racist people on earth. I disagree. I’m biracial and lived most my life in the netherlands, I’ve encountered lots of subtle racism but I know thats nothing compared to what the untouchables in India go through or minorities in Japan. Many races are racist to the “other”, not just whites. The only difference with whites is that they had an advantage with weaponary, and the need for more having come from the poorest, resource wise continent inclined them to fuck the rest of the world up.

It takes balls to shoot 32 innocent people. The media likes to portray these (and acts of terrorism) as cowardly, but they are anything but.

Cho wanted to fit in, but couldn’t. Check out his manifesto on msnbc. They posted his pdf files. The first page that shows him smiling is captioned with something to the effect of, I could have been like you (hedonists).

KC, you are right. it does take balls to kill people, it is not an easy thing to do. But that doesn’t mean killers like Cho are brave. Cho was a coward because he didn’t have the balls to work through life which is a hell of a lot harder than giving up.

Cho didn’t want to fit in, his room mates knew him better than you did. He hated people for being better than him and he almost never talked to anyone. Everyone who knew him knew he was a psycho and were actually afraid of him because of his antisocial personality.
