Delaware mom finds man in daughter’s bed

Police: Mom Finds Teen In Bed With Man From MySpace:

This is really scary. A mother in Delaware caught 20-year-old Raymond Strong from Port Deposit, MD in bed with her 15-year-old daughter in their house. The two reportedly had consensual sex and voluntarily agreed to meet at the girl’s house for said sex. However, the age of consent in Delaware is 18. So for his troubles, Mr. Strong has been charged with four counts of rape. Remember the old saying, 15 will get you 20.

So gross. Why can’t people find other people their OWN AGE ANYMORE!?

It isn’t that they can’t. It is that they don’t. The Internet provides a way for people who in normal, day-to-day life would never encounter each other to meet. Any normal social barrier that would keep a 20 year old and a 15 year old from talking in a mall is non-existant on myspace. There’s no friends to say “doesn’t she look to young for you?”. No group of people to stare disapprovingly of two disperately aged individuals. There’s no implicit societal pressure.

So I say to you this…remove all the things I just listed, fill kid’s minds with hyper-sexualized media images, let them post half-naked images of themselves on myspace, add hormones to the mix, and what do you think happens?

Cases like these aren’t necessarily older guys looking for sex with underage girls, but rather horny teenagers looking for anonymous sex with anyone that has an attractive profile. It could have just as easily been an 18 year old girl he met that night, but for whatever reason, this girl answered first. This isn’t a problem with child sex predators, its a problem with child sex period.

Parents need to watch their kids. They need to understand that not only are people on the internet trying to have sex with their kids, but also that some of their kids are trying to have sex with people on the Internet!

This is a two way street, and the sooner we can recognize both parts of the problem, the sooner we’ll be able to educate our children and parents to help stop it.

this is not the case here..I know this person and I am in fact an older woman. This boy! did not know this girl was 15 inface she informed him otherwise and she invited him over..so the problem is the parenting…this should be taken into consideration espically if this has happened before with a girl this age!
