Cho’s family

Cho’s Family Struggled in Korea:

This is an AP article about Cho Seung-Hui’s family life. His parents emigrated to America when he was 8 for, lacking a better term, the American Dream. They moved to the U.S. in order to have a better life. They worked in a dry cleaner’s while raising him in suburban D.C. I hope to God they didn’t pay for his stay at Virginia Tech because he did a shitty job of paying them back.

I pray for everyone at Virginia Techs healing and may you truly see anyone who can take a life is very sick. Anger will not erase the pain. I pray Jesus will draw Himself near all of you to see He is in your mist. I feel for all the families even the murders how shameful they must feel. Lord I never prayed on a site like this but Jesus take away the anger and hurt. Jesus you never threw stones you came o show Gods love and heal and May now Lord you do this in Virginia may you give us all wisdom to deal and prevent anything like this in the future. Show warning signs Lord and may we never turn our check again. Thank you Lord in Jesus name Amen Your in my prayers mother of 3 Mindy

I pray for the family of this poor soul that committed these horrid crimes. He was an ill young man and it was not paid enough attention to so he is not to blame copmpletely on his own. I know that I will anger people with this response but so be it. I pray that he finds the peace in death that he did not have in life.

I remind everyone that this is a case of a crime committed by an individual. Cho Seung’s actions are not representative of his ethnicity. In this country, we are all Americans, if you work here, pay taxes and a contributing member of the American society – you are an American. What he did was a terrible and disturbing crime. In my opinion, the government should focus on eradicating gun ownership and gun sales. America should be united as a nation and the whole world should focus on only one thing, this is a crime by a troubled individual not by a race.

My family came here from Italy in the early 1900s…They had NOTHING!!!! My family had little education…..But they and this country gave me the opportiny to better myself and my children, who are VA Tech grads….. I don’t blame Cho’s ethnic background….But there was something more “wrong” with him than just being bullied…..People tried to help him…..I HATE to say this as a parent, but did his parents’ not know any of this???? Where were they?

An addition…when my family came here there were no government programs to help…..my ancestors were on there own……I’ll bet the govenment has in some way or another supported Cho and , or, his family. We paid for our children to go to Tech and my family paid for me to go to college……NO govt agency helped them with anything

First of all, my prayer and thoughts go to all the family and friends of the lives that were lost at Va.Tech. This terrible incident is an isolated incident that was acted out by an individual, a human being, just like everybody else in this world and especially America where it’s a melting pot of different ethnicity, religion, skin color and nationality. I don’t understand why some of the South Koreans living in Korea and here in the U.S. feel the need to apologize and feel embarrassed just because the shooter happened to be of that nationality/ethnicity. Remember people, he’s just a human being like you and me! There are so many crimes being committed by every race, nationality out there and people DO NOT make a big deal out of what their background is. The shooter was a very disturbed pyschologically and emotionally in a very deep level and I’m not so sure if the bullying is to blame for. We desperately need to control the availablility of guns to “ordinary” citizens in this country if not get rid of it altogether. The NRA has the toughest lobbyists and unless we as a country come together and truly fight this matter it will be very difficult to make any profound changes even after this horrifying incident.

I pray for Cho’s family. I believe they are living a nightmare. I can not
imagine the guilt and confusion they must be experiencing and I hope they are finding comfort and solace while grieving with the nation. Thier loss is as big if not bigger than others. One can not feel but a bit of the problem when they know someone and that someone explodes like that. What could have been done? Could one stop something like that? If one did something different would it have changed the ultimate outcome?
I pray for Cho’s family, so that they soon can find comfort and serenity because we are all going through this together.

This incident saddens me so much. I wish people would get off of their moral bandwagons and just take a minute to grieve this without throwing in politics. I feel so much sorrow for everyone involved… All of the families that lost their children, siblings, parents, Cho’s family. And believe it or not, Cho himself. Yeah, I know what people must be thinking. But knowing mental illness from multiple perspectives, I really do feel bad for him. Not as bad as I feel for the families of his victims, or his family, but I do feel a sorrow for him. I hope that we end up, as a whole, growing as much as possible as people.

I am so furious at the Cho family I cannot even speak (or write). They want us to focus on them and help them. They say they want answers. Grr

Vernon, I don’t know who you are…..but this saddens me too…..But this is PROBABLY part about politics…..As I’ve said…..If his family or Cho got any assistance from the government…this IS about Politics and protecting the US citizens…..
