Police confirm that Kimveer Gill took the coward’s way out

Police confirm gunman took his own life after being shot in the arm:

I’m not surprised…

MONTREAL — Kimveer Gill’s lethal rampage at Dawson College ended when he shot himself, provincial police confirmed Thursday.

A preliminary autopsy indicates Gill, 25, was wounded in the arm, “likely by a police bullet,” but then shot himself to death, said Const. Chantal Mackels.

Investigators have turned up no links between Gill, who was unemployed, and the school.

“To my knowledge he was not a student (at Dawson) and had not been in the past. We don’t know yet why he did this at Dawson. That has to be answered,” said Lieut. Francois Dore of the Quebec provincial police, which is handling only the part of the investigation that involves Gill’s death. (By law, a police force in Quebec is not permitted to investigate a fatality that has occurred during one of its own operations.)

Gill had no criminal record and had never been found to have a mental health problem, police say.

A coward and a loser until the end.

Oh my. Did you check out that debate on Vampire Freaks? It’s pretty intense and it’s really really sad.
May the victim rest in peace.

It is unfortunate that people have turned a blind eye toward Kimveer Gill’s sufferings under the school bullies, all the while his sufferings were ignored. Kimveer Gill therefore is a martyr, and will be forever missed as one of the Oppressed who chose to fight back.

Our salute to you, our Martyr, the late Kimveer Gill! Rest in peace.

Congratulations on being the first mutant to sympathize with that jackass.

Whether or not you remove this comment, the voices of the Oppressed must be heard. The fanaticism with which Kimveer completed his Final Mission is the mark of his greatness.

    Salute, martyr!

I won’t delete it because I want the rest of the world to see how much of an idiot you are.

He’s no martyr. Just a coward.

I find it ironic the way you have devoted thousands and thousands of hours to writing about what a bunch of ‘mutants’ we are for understanding what has happened and wanting to put a stop to it — yet you haven’t done a god damned thing to help the issue. What are you doing to stop school violence, Patrick? Are you going to spend the rest of your life appealing to the instigatory personalities you call your “loyal readers” and just complain for the next 30 years of your life?

Why do you think these things happen, exactly, Pat? What is your take on it? I have yet to read anything productive on your website. Enlighten me.

  7. Trench Avatar

And what exactly have you done Jana besides making tribute sites to killers?

These things happen because people like you keep spreading the myths of Columbine and making cowardly scumbags into heroes.

My views are quite clear. The problem is that you don’t like the answers.

Kimveer was a loser and a coward. Instead of effectively removing his defective self from the gene pool ALONE, he chose to take lives with him. Because going alone would underscore just how much of a pathetic failure and sorry excuse for a human being he was.

Anastasia did not deserve to die by the 9 bullets he pumped into her. The victims who are now fighting for their lives under a medically induced coma, did not deserved to be shot in the head. The other wounded victims did not deserve to be shot and scarred for life, in more ways than one.

Life is not a video game, and I feel sorry for anyone empty enough to feel any sympathy towards the cowardly shooter, rather than for the victims of this tragedy.

… and you think you know who I am? You’re hillarious. My name is Calence, Pat… Calence.

No one is making them out to be heroes. Don’t you get it? I work with violence PREVENTION. The only way to PREVENT something is to UNDERSTAND it and then work to prevent it. You know, do something other than complain. But you’re quite good at complaining. Maybe it is best if you stick to that.

Oh, Trench… I have never made a tribute site. I have made over 100 websites that spread education and understand so that we can intervene in our children’s lives before they get to the point where they have no way out like Eric, Dylan, and whatshisnameeveryoneelse. Tribute site? Never.

What have I done? Oh, I don’t know, teamed up with thousands of youth across the country and in Canada to teach compassion, get people to treat each other better so people don’t feel so much hatred toward society, help people get away from the mentality of wanting to kill, I’ve been the one to intervene in the lives of a lot of the youths you write about on your blog… thanks to the fact that they chose to spill their plans to me… I’ve contacted many principals, parents, teachers of kids who are gathering weapons, kids who threaten to kill, kids who have plans to kill… I keep in close contact with Law Enforcement in almost every state in the US…

I take an active role in the lives of kids who are headed in the wrong direction and over time build strong relationships with them based on trust and understanding, and, eventually help them see the light and make something of themselves and toss away the idea that shooting up their school is okay.

I’m involved with a lot of very well known organizations for youth outreach, am in the middle of developing a program to help people rise above feelings of worthlessness and despair, hatred and intolerance.

That’s just a small part of what I’ve done.

    I’ll ask you again.
What are YOU doing besides complaining?

  11. Trench Avatar

Well then your whois information is false. Be careful, that can get your domain taken away if someone was to make an issue of it.

So are you the idiot with the “tatoo project”?

You make websites named after school shooters and you’re going to tell me that they’re not tributes. Why don’t you make websites about Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy and how they were just misunderstood?

    School shooters are not victims.

What have I done? Well unlike some people I don’t like to brag to give myself an over inflated sense of self worth. But since you asked so nicely I’ll tell you my most important accomplishment. I helped raise two beautiful and intelligent kids that didn’t become idiot school shooters.

  12. Cal Avatar

That’s great, I am really glad that you have raised two beautiful kids! That’s quite an accomplishment.

Well, if you actually took the time to read the text on the sites that I create, you would see that I am saying school shootings are not okay and should not happen, but also that we need to take a deeper look at them and figure out why they happen so we can give people around us the outlets they need to find something in this world to live for.

Too many people have died, too many people waste their lives and the lives of others… and too few people care enough to do something about it.

You’ve raised your kids well, apparently. How old are they? What did you do to ensure they had someone to talk to? How early did you start building that trust relationship with them? What would you suggest for other parents? Not all parents can figure it out on their own, unfortunately.

I believe that there are so many factors that are important in building strong communities and relationships with kids that it isn’t really just one thing that causes them to end up hopeless (like Kimveer)

Kids who are brought up with families they can trust and talk to openly and unconditionally are less likely to take criticism to heart. They are less likely to be overly sensitive and less likely to let their peers drag them down. They are more likely to have positive interests and goals, aspirations and dreams. I truly believe it does start with the family.

However… sometimes people who are raised in a seemingly perfect family still have trust issues, and are able to fool their parents into thinking they will talk to them if they ever get to the point of despair. That’s the problem. Sometimes kids are so far gone, so apathetic that even that trust relationship with their parents isn’t enough for them to care enough to say what is truly on their mind.

Unfortunately we live in a world where kids have more access to guns than anywhere else in the world. (except maybe Iraq, or other countries where kids are forced to be armed to protect their families).

Take Andrew Golden for example. Jonesboro. He learned to shoot a rifle at what, age 6? You’ve seen the photo I am sure. He wasn’t even raised by his parents. He was probably a spoiled little brat growing up with grandma giving him everything he ever wanted. Teachers and students said he had a horrible attitude. Were his parents ever notified? If so, why were they okay with his behavior?

That’s what I’m talking about. Right there. Parents who have kids like Andrew, who DONT see the necessity to put them in check are just contributing to the problem. Add on the fact that he was given a gun at 6 years of age and became quite a good shot… and you’ve got a lethal combination for violence.

“bullying” aka harassment is not always the cause for school violence. It’s a general hopelessness, apathy, misdirection… lack of goals and a feeling of purpose.

I would really love to see you write down your ideas for implementing a program reaching out to parents to get them to realize that they have the responsibility to intervene in their kids lives at the first sign of trouble.

Although sometimes kids are good at hiding it, and its sad to say that we cant save everyone. But there are so many different aspects that need to be addressed.

You’ve already put so much energy into it, what’s a little more? Why not reach out to help the issue?

The people who make the strongest impacts are the ones with the strongest opinions and you, Trench, are one of the strongest most opinionated people I know.

Cowards shoot unarmed people. Cowards kill themselves before facing justice. Therefore Kimveer Gill is a coward.

Well that’s all well and good but the fact that you name your sites after killers and you hang out in pro-school shooting online communities is doing a disservice to your message.

As far as opinions on parenting go I agree that lax parenting is the main problem and being involved in your kids’ lives is the best prevention.

“bullying” aka harassment is not always the cause for school violence. It’s a general hopelessness, apathy, misdirection… lack of goals and a feeling of purpose.

I sort of agree with you here only because in the majority of school shootings and school shooting plots one of the suspects claim that they were bullied. Unfortunately and realistically I don’t ever see bullying being eliminated in schools. As a matter of fact I foresee it getting worse as parents get worse and worse with each generation. And it started with the myth that Harris and Klebold were bullied and they were alone. I have yet to see proof of bullying and by all acounts they had a lot of friends.

I would really love to see you write down your ideas for implementing a program reaching out to parents to get them to realize that they have the responsibility to intervene in their kids lives at the first sign of trouble.

“Well that’s all well and good but the fact that you name your sites after killers and you hang out in pro-school shooting online communities is doing a disservice to your message.”

I do not “hang out” anywhere online and the only forums I visit are the FTM community on Live Journal and the CRTF forum which I read once a month but only post once every 2 or three months if at all.

I also frequent the forums at http://www.dosomething.org and also the forums on http://www.rachelschallenge.com

You’re totally right, bullying won’t ever disappear from schools. But we can eliminate a lot of the escalation by getting teachers to stop ignoring what is going on in the classroom… just like the parents should be doing. Teachers and parents both need to stop incidents before they escalate. Period.

Eric and Dylan were isolated mostly in jr high, and that was the worst time of their lives just like most people who end up shooting up their high schools. If you want “proof” of specific incidents you arent going to find many and its not because it didnt happen, but because most people have a warped memory of incidents that did NOT happen to them.

No one I went to school with remembers me being arrested for something that was majorly horrible of me to do. No one remembers me being beaten up in the library with about 20 people watching. No one remembers the bruises, the cuts, the broken fingers, anything. Nothing. People just dont remember if it doesnt happen to them.

Sometimes people dont have to be physically beaten on a daily basis to end up apathetic, lonely and full of hate. There are always emotional aspects of being harassed that add up faster than any punch ever will.

I personally would have rather been beaten every day of my life physically than harassed emotionally through jr high. That destroyed me for a much longer period of time than the physical violence ever did.

You say parents have emailed you to thank you for your website. So, they thank you for doing what? Posting a complaint?

Educating parents who need the education takes actual effort. You have to step away from the armchair to accomplish this. The people who come to your website and email you to thank you, are people who already agree with you and are probably people who do make themselves aware of what is going on in their child’s life.

That isn’t progress. That is reinforcement. You know, just like those Columbine groupies you despise. They gather together to discuss how “hawt” Eric and Dylan are and they email each other to say HEY THANKS FOR THE ADD ON MYSPACE LIKE OMGWTFBBQ THANKS!

The people who email you, Trench, already agree and know what the problem is.

You arent educating or reaching anyone by gathering emails from people who reinforce what we all already know: school shootings are bad, parents need to pay attention and this needs to stop.

    That’s already known.

    What needs to happen is…

Someone has to figure out how to get through to the parents who DONT get involved, the parents who THINK that they dont NEED to get involved… the parents who think they are doing just fine but in reality have no idea how to connect with their children.

Get back to me when you stop being an “armchair activist” and actually get off your ass and do something about this issue.

If you get an email from a parent who tells you, “oh god, trench, i have been such a horrible parent and you have opened my eyes and now i realize i have to be more active with my kids. thank you SO MUCH for showing me where i have been led astray.”

let me know. If that happens, then yes, trench, you are doing something productive. Until you educate those who actually need it rather than reinforcing the beliefs and ideas we all aready know as truth… all youre doing is complaining.

Trench, I think it’s good what you do here. I have never visited this site before now, but I think you have an advantage with your site. People likely to imitate what Kimveer, the columbinekids and all the others no one even knows the names of may be attracted to your site when considering the option. Instead of just banning them, do you think you might consider how you can somehow find out more about their psyche when they sound alarm bells in your head, find a way to alert peopel with the right abilities to these people?

Youre such a negative nancy, Patrick. You’re spreading more hatred and fostering a negative outlook on life. You are obsessed with crime and spend your life focusing on the negative. It’s such a waste. And, talking about what you do is not considered ‘bragging’ by the way. If you were doing anything positive you wouldn’t even have this site, so I know for a fact that you’re full of beans.

    It’s on.

People who want to kill others see this site and think “wow what a douche, too bad we can’t kill Trench too” how do I know? That’s what all the “groupies” aka “mutants” tell me. The disgusting hatred and insults and waste of energy on this site is what makes my job so much harder. It angers them even more when they read about what Trench has posted… makes them even more angry. It’s true. Reading this site and the way Trench talks about everything makes these kids so much more full of hatred… it gives them fuel to hate society even more because NO ONE UNDERSTANDS and here you have this jackass posting all about how he was “thrust into the national spotlight thanks to columbine” and even “blamed for columbine” when he thrust himself into that spotlight and made the name for himself and WE ALL KNOW THE TRUTH since we were around in the beginning…

Makes those homicidal kids even more homicidal.

Trench can’t reach out to the kids at risk as long as he has this site. They will NEVER and I reapeat NEVER see this site and think twice about their actions. They see this site and move FORWARD with thier actions because it pisses them off so much more.

If Trench ever wants a lesson in how to actually reach them, I am always available for discussion. Unfortunately that will probably never happen because he thinks I am a ‘mutant’ and that I am the ’cause’ of school violence or whatever. So so misguided, you are, Trench.

This makes good material for my next interview on my radio station, though. Heh. Thanks. I had forgotten about you for a year. It was nice. But now it’s on.

Lets see….the asswipe wasn’t bullied so that basically shoots down the main reason. The only thing really left that I can come up with is he was an immature punk who never grew up and didn’t want to grow up and preferred to live his life in a fantasy world of vampires and video games and then decided that in order to make his insignificant life have any meaning, he needed to go shoot some innocent people….WOW…what a poor misunderstood hero.

Keep it up Trnech…when you’re offending the sensitive little feelings of the poor misunderstood angst ridden youth of today and their apologists…you’re doing the right thing.

Stop being so damn sensitive people…sheeesh. And for once…just once…try placing blame exactly where it belongs which is on the shoulders of these idiots who somehow rationalize that shooting and killing innocent people is their right and duty.

I will give you this….whoever the person is who above claimed that “society” is somewhat to blame is exactly correct…though not for the reasons I’m sure they intended. Society is to blame because we are being forced to raise a bunch of over-sensitive, painty waists who can’t take words being said about them…oh my! Ever hear the one about sticks and stones and bones and stuff? Phil Donahue would be proud in his all feminine manliness (snort snort) of the caring and touchy feely talk that gets spewed…and we see exactly where all the touchy feely talk is getting us.

Kiddies…go get a haircut, get a job, wipe off the make-up and throw away the plastic fangs, turn off the computer and go outside for a while for god sakes. It really isn’t that hard to live life in the REAL world…try it…you might like it. At the very least you might not turn out to be some 25 year old loser still trying to live like a 15 year old.

Yeah…I know….I’m insensitve and uncaring for suggesting that you all grow up. You’re all saying…”But ZappaCrappa…YOU don’t understand!” My reply…see above about getting a haircut and a job and turning off the computer for a while : )
