I was going back over Steve Huff’s entry on Kimveer Gill seeing what comments he was getting. Steve had updated his entry and I read something that made my heart drop…

Kimveer Gill, as you might expect, didn’t just start aping the style and mannerisms of past psychos like Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. He probably had been going down the deadly road he was on for quite some time.

To my surprise, I found posts by Gill (and at this point, for all I know, others have already found these as well — this story promises to be very heavily covered by everyone because the guy had an online journal) on the Usenet.

Gill used the Yahoo address rogue_warrior_50@yahoo.ca, and in November of 2005, he posted to this newsgroup: http://groups.google.com/group/aps-global-solutions/.

I knew that e-mail address well. rogue_warrior_50@yahoo.ca had left comments on this very site. I understand that you’re skeptical. I would be too. Let me provide some photographic proof for you. This is a picture of my blog’s control panel…

He went by the name Rogue and left the following comments…

On an entry about Christopher Penley, the Florida teen who was shot and killed at his school for brandishing a pellet gun at police, entitled “Was lethal force justified?” Gill left this comment…

The police used extreme force. It’s completely unacceptable. The Rebel was moving the gun in all directions, very fast. He didn’t once point, steady, stance and aim it. He was just swinging it around. And everyone knows you can’t kill someone like that, if you’re moving it around, at the sky, and whatever. No shots were fired by the young Rebel, he didn’t even hurt anyone.

That cop is a coward. He was attacked earlier in his life. And ever since that he has become paranoid, and scared. Like a girl after she gets raped. Afraid of everything and everyone. The police had been told earlier that it wasn’t even a real gun. They didn’t even mention that on T.V.

The police kill another innocent person

I don’t understand what’s wrong with this country. Two schoolgirls were playing around, joking if you will, and now they’re going to go to jail, just for a joke.

When I was in High School people would say they were going to kill each other all the time, no one got in trouble.

Why have the masses on this earth turned into cowards?

A student at school makes a joke, and the police spend all their resources to stop him. “A little joke”

The young lad was just letting off some steam. Give him a break. Come on, where’s your sense of humour?

Nobody goes on a killing spree with a pitchfork.

The country is full of child molesters, priests, rapists, and child molesting priests. Can we perhaps take them off the streets before spending all law enforcement resources on a teenager’s prank.

I can’t believe the school would over-react like that. Children at school can’t even joke around anymore. And for the police to go along with this, I mean, come on…..this is shocking.

They’re slowly turning the country into a police state

My friends and I have said things like that at when we were still in school, and we never thought we would go to jail for it. I don’t understand what kind of society this is. I thought we had freedom of speech.

I had a feeling someone was going to try to do something like this on the 20th of this month. The cops got it all wrong. They wern’t going to do it for real. They’re just kids having a little fun. I hope the pigs don’t actually give them a fine or 2 weeks in jail, cuz’ that would be an injustice.

If they were really going to do this, they would not be posting messages on MySpace and telling people in their school about it.

This comment on an entry about a Washington State teen who was arrested for planning his own school shooting plot…

How can the police arrest this young rebel, and send him to jail? He hasn’t done anything wrong. Many teenagers feel isolated and alone, and for such a reason they may create an imaginary reality within their own mind, such as shooting people.

If he was really going to kill alot of people then he wouldn’t be telling people he was going to do it. It’s just common sense. I believe he just wanted a little attention, nothing more.

Lets hope he gets outta jail soon, and the police give him back the guns the seized

For that comment, I banned him from leaving comments on my site.

The last time I heard from him was from an e-mail he sent me, which you can see here.

When seeing all of his comments in a row like that, I am struck by the redundancy of them, his anger, bitterness and obvious agenda of hate. I guess it also looks apparent in hindsight that he was truly dangerous, because of that one track mind of his, but as Steve said in his entry, how do we sort out the ones who are voicing serious threats vs. the ones talking out of the side of their mouth? Aye, there’s the rub. This entry is a real eye opener, Trench.

yet another shooting, kinda surprised it was canada, usually the americans lead the way. anyway, the reason im posting, im irish, living in ireland etc. for some reason school shootings interest me, not in a good way more of a wtf is wrong with these people way,its always blamed on the music, the bullying etc. but it has to go deeper then that, theres bullying in ireland(barely any in secondary schools(americans call it high school) theres goths, trench coat wearers etc, all the supposide troubled teenagers that every where has, yet how many school shootings-zero.guns are illegal here yes but you can still get them, there illegal for kids in america too but look what happens there. i dunno what it is with the kids in america but from what ive heard and seen whle in america the bullying can be very extreme. normally the big picking on the little guy. now here theres your normal cliqes at school, the metallers, sporty guys, nerds etc but theres no bullying from secondary on.why? if you dont like someone you just dont talk to them, you have your own friends,they have theirs and we get along. hell i was a metaller and played more sports then anyone else and got on with both groups. America has major problems there, and untill its sorted(it never will lets be honest) theres gonna be more shootins, more killings and more pointless deaths, one thing that hasnt come up here yet as far as i know is, after this canadian shooting……..will the canadians follow suit and more copy cat killers in canada happen, the smart money is on a yeah

The dude is like a broken record. He occasionally seemed to make a point (assuming his facts were correct, I didn’t bother to check them.) but simple repetition of the “it was a joke” argument starts to sound really hollow after the first few times.

VF member Psychotic_ladybug

I am a member of VF, our internet community has seen an abundance of negative responses due to this individuals SICK behaviour.

He was a coward… he couldn’t deal with his own issues so he took them out on innocent people. People whom he had never once met in his life, people who never judged him, people who had yet to see him before..

Looking at his profile ( which is now up again for police investigation ) you can see numerous signs that this was a somewhat planned attack.

He chose to pull himself away from society. People just don’t judge you if not given probable reason to.
He dressed the way he did, hid in his basement, claimed he was “Goth”, screamed for attention.

Not every member of VF is like this.

We are all from different cultures, backgrounds, races, locations, schools, families and etc…
we are all different people, with different ideas of what is right and what is wrong.

I believe Kimveer’s actions on Sept 13th were planned, and wrong.

He may have been “depressed” but that is no reason to acquire a rifle and clad yourself in black, enter a school you don’t attend, and shoot up a bunch of people you have never met.

His actions would have been much more justifiable if he would have stayed in his parents basements and taken his own life, and ONLY his own life.

Now the family and friends of Miss De Sousa are left to live with the pain of losing someone so close to them, so innocent, with so much life, hope, and dreams ahead of her…

The people that were wounded/shot are left with the emotional and physical scars of this event.

He wanted to be noticed to be remembered, to get his 15 mins of fame so it seems..
well he has it.. in the form of hatred from hundred upon thousands of individuals around the world.

Unfortunately he cowardly chose to take his own life in the end, so he doesn’t get to see his name on tv. To see the tears of the students, friends and family members of those injured do to his actions..

He is in hell where he always wanted to be.. hell is his heaven..

A part of me wishes he would have lived… so that he could have been charged for the murder of Anastasia, and for the possesion of a deadly weapon, and for every other crime he commited that day. So that he could rot in a jail cell and live with what he did for the rest of his life…

Unfortunately he got off pretty easy…

My thoughts are with Anastasia’s family and friends at this time of grief, and with the students in recovery, and all of those that were at Dawson College Sept 13th and witnessed this occurence unfold.

If you visit my VF profile, as its safe to assume some of you will. You will see that I am a mother.. and a darn good one at that.

If these events have taught me anything as a parent, they are the following:

Watch your children.

Monitor thier actions.

Note change in behaviour.

Note change in apparel and discuss it with your child.

Communication is key.

Computers are to be kept in high volume areas of the home *where the child is able to be watched the entire time, or at risk of getting caught doing/saying/looking at something they shouldn’t be*

Help your child to cope with unfortunate events in thier life, even if it means forking out big bucks for therapy.

Try at all times to monitor what webpages, tv shows, words, ideas, and etc that your child is being subjected to. (use webpage content blockers, and don’t let your child find out the password)

Encourage your children to stay physical, to enroll in athletic programs, study groups, school commitees (safe monitored uses of thier personal time)

Monitor whom your child hangs out with, meet with thier friends parents to see how that child is raised.

There are so many things you can do to help your child to not develop disturbing thoughts, ideas, and plans such as Kimveer’s..

Your children are your future, they are worth the investment.

Out of the 8 posted comments you posted, you highlighted only 2 that show an IP address, those numbers change,suggesting that they might not be from the same computer. Tell me do the IP addresses change for the rest of the comments? as well as the email he sent you? did he send you lots of emails?
