Kittrell denied bond

Fayette senior denied bond on weapons charges:

Robin Kittrell, the 17-year-old Georgia student who brought an arsenal to school, has been denied bond. If you remember, he claims he was trying to prevent a Columbine rather than starting one.

“I can’t say for certain what he might have done,” said District Attorney Scott Ballard. “But he couldn’t have had good intentions.”

Ballard said he was not familiar with Kittrell’s past but said officials told him the teenager dressed in black clothing and seemed “strange.”

Dressing in black does not necessarily make someone “strange”. Carrying an arsenal of weapons with you everywhere does.

These guys need to back the hell off this clothes thing. They are convincing me that they haven’t got a clue about anything they are talking about, and the sad thing is, they are the ones in charge.

The one thing I love about my native country, the good ole US of A, is my right to freedom, including freedom of expression, within reason, of course. If they are gonna start hauling every kid in andcite “weird clothes told us there just wasn’t something right about him”, then that is one step away from facist ideals.

And what has me boggled, especially since alot of these assholes in charge grew up in the 60s, is that they had their time of freedom of expression and then would try to rob the next generations of theirs. Dressing in black, or differently is no new concept. Look at James Dean and Marlon Brando in the 50s. We had all the hip “flower children” of the 60s and into the 70s. Then the 80s hit big with punk fashion. None of these fashions mentioned above were considered the norm for their time, but different and even rebellious.

Seriously, the baby boomers need to get a damned grip on reality. They are losing these kids and taking us BACKWARDS 100s of years. Whats next? No nudes allowed in art study because it promotes pornography and creates rapists? Are KISS Knights in Satan’s Service? Okay, I have had my rant.

Hey, I am a student at Whitewater High, and what they meant by strange was that he would wear the same black tee shirt and pants every single day. In fact, that was all that was in his closet. Robin is difficult to explain though because he is a really caring person, but it is obvious he has some psychological issues that need to be dealt with. It is hard to look at the teachers of Whitewater’s reports since they areso closed minded about the student and hate any differences they might have however I do agree with your statement on Robin wanting to be the vigilanty hero. It is just the kind of person he seems to be.
