Congressman wants FTC to do parents’ job

Suburban congressman wants FTC to warn parents about MySpace:

So Congressman Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) wants the Federal Trade Commission to issue a national consumer alert warning for parents to look at the web pages their children are posting on MySpace. Isn’t that basically wasting taxpayers’ money on something that used to be known as common sense?

I must say I agree with you in being common sense.. But I myself didn’t even know that my daughter joined myspace til afterwards… and didn’t see any danger in it since I never heard of any until it happened to me. And my daughter went missing the way she did. If it happened to maybe a hand full of kids is one thing and even that is not good… But when you have the large amount of kids all ages missing and running away into the arms of preditors from myspace… I say our children lives are worth it.. I myself will be looking to help make a change in helping children be safe.
    Thanks, Lourdes
