Parents arrested in Northbrook

Two Adults, One Student Charged in Suburban Chicago Hazing Incident:

Well, well, well. Look what we have here. Two parents arrested for providing minors with alcohol at the Northbrook “powder puff” hazing incident. Of course, the suspects are denying the allegations.

Shouldn’t this be open and shut, though? I mean, how hard is it to track down someone who bought a keg? You have to leave a deposit, especially if you don’t have your own tap.

Anyway, this is obviously a case of parents trying to be their children’s buddies rather than being parents. Do I even dare repeat myself? You need a license to own a dog, but any idiot can have a kid.

Re: Article link “Bond of $100”? They drop that for lunch. “Up to fines of $500??? How about paying for some medical bills for fractured ankles, head wounds, psychologists, counselors, etc. They have the money to first “retain” an attorney which is at least $400 right off the top, then pay for any services provided. Classic case of gluttony and “poor me” by the upper class. I’m so sick of this attitude.

At lest the gvt is tryig to do right this time, let’ jsut hope it holds up. The world is coming into a sad sad state today, snd it’s mostly the faults of the parents, like you said, trying to be the kids’ friends. I have my ideas as to why this is happening, but what really matters is that it is. Trench, as soon as I figure out how to do it, I’ll let you know about that world coup -)
