Mepham Sentencing

The 3 football players from Mepham High in Long Island were sentenced today for sodomizing younger teammates in a hazing attack with broomsticks, golf balls, and pine cones. One was sent to a boot camp, the other to a juvenile detention facility, and the third got probation after providing prosecutors with information. On the one hand the punishment sort of fits the crime because in boot camp and juvenile hall they’ll be able to find out what its like to be intimidated by someone bigger than you or in a position of authority over you. On the other hand the punishment isn’t enough. For all intents and purposes they raped their younger teammates. Poetic justice would have been trying them as adults and putting them in real prison where they can have a whole array of objects rectally inserted in them. These rapists will get out eventually. The victims have to live with this their entire lives. Hopefully they’re in facilities like the one in the movie Sleepers.

I’m a teacher at Mepham and I stumbled onto your website. Do you really believe that if those boys were sentenced to an adult facility they would have been rehabilitated? As americans, we have to trust in our system and judicial system, and believe that they know what is right.
Looking at this sentencing, it’s even more apalling to see what is happening in Georgia to a teenager who had consentual sex!

then while you read the conviction and sentence .. think of these jackasses who *did* rape and traumatize younger teens.
In any other state the offense Marcus Dixon was convicted for would be statutory rape. An adult (18+) having sex with any one under the age of consent even if consesula is still considered statutory rape but I agree the sentence was too harsh.
Hazing came a long way from getting locked in lockers by the larger teammates when I was in wrestling meets. But these teens who did the broomstick incident should be tried as adults and find out whose bitch they would become. They’d have no problem having a social life where they are going.
I was a guy who had to endure this. Everyone in school knew I was one of them raped and some threw that in my face as often as they could. To that teacher who claims we have to trust our justice system: Do you really think that they would have got off that easy if the students they repeatedly raped were girls? Can you imagine the humiliation we had to endure in front of our peers? Can you imagine the humiliation we had to go through telling our parents? Those guys deserved worse, they deserved prison where they would be raped. I really hope “what comes around, goes around” with them and with you. I hope you experience something similar to knock you off that high pedastle you placed yourself upon.
