Police: Kids Found In Midst Of Weapons, Filth:
This time the Dumpster takes us to Vernon, Connecticut in a tale of seriously screwed up priorities.

Vernon police said a cable TV repairman alerted officers of two children living in a home filled with weapons and filth.

The man told police that the children were living in a High Street apartment that was full of garbage, rotten food and pet feces.

Police said guns were also found out in the open. A 5-year-old child and an infant were found living in the home, according to police.

“The male was sleeping with a loaded handgun on his bed,” said Officer James Grady of the Vernon Police Department. “Obviously a 5-year-old wants to go visit Daddy and Daddy is sleeping with a gun he had access to. There was a bayonet with a knife at the end of it in an area where the kids could play.”

But by God they had cable TV.

For kids with guns, a filthy house, and the need to have cable TV this gets a 3.

  1. :-( This brings to mind what I encounter almost daily at one of my jobs. Food stamp customers with a swarm of dirty and poorly dressed kids(alot of them from obviously different fathers) with their hair freshly done in the latest pineapple style, lots of gaudy bling- blings, the best cellphones available, porn star nails, driving a SUV that cost more than most people’s HOUSES…then to pay for the cash only part of their order they whip out either a wad of cash that would choke a horse or a Visa Platinum card. It’s amazing the lifestyle the “poor” in this country enjoys and it makes me SICK.
