Shots fired, Manners' mother moved to safe house:
The night of Jordan Manners' funeral three dozen shots were fired outside of the housing complex of Lorraine Small, the mother of slain Toronto student Jordan Manners. A Jermaine Johnson was arrested in connection with the shots fired.
Lorraine Small has also been calling for an end to violence in the city and has received several threats because of it.
Courtney Betty, the family's lawyer, confirmed there have been other threats made against the family, but Small is not currently under police protection.
"There were threats made at the funeral home, outside the funeral home by individuals toward Lorraine and other members of the family," Betty told CTV News.
That's just great. This poor woman is trying to use her son's death as a call to stop violence in Toronto and she receives death threats over it.
If I was the head of Toronto's police there would be so many sweeps and crackdowns going through that neighborhood right now the thugs wouldn't know what hit them.
Hopefully the scumbags that are threatening Lorraine Small will be reaping what they sow very soon.
