Wisconsin children beaten and starved
October 7, 2008Complaint: Parents Tortured 14-Year-Old Girl:
Minerva Lopez and Porfino Olivas-Lopez of Madison, Wisconsin have been arrested in the abuse and torture of their five children. The children range in ages from 2-weeks to 14-years-old.
All the children were malnourished but the 14-year-old girl took the brunt of the abuse…
The complaint said that the girl’s mother beat her daughter with a broomstick, a metal rod, a frying pan and other objects. Prosecutors said that Lopez admitted scalding the girl with hot water, choking her, cutting her wrist with a kitchen knife and biting her face.
Court documents said that Olivas-Lopez hit the girl with his fists, kicked and choked her by lifting her off the floor by her neck.
Again I have to ask what’s the point of having children if this is how you’re going to treat them?
For once though Social Services actually took the kids out of the house at the first sign of abuse. Will miracles never cease?
