Local teen threatens studens with gun, commits suicide

Yesterday here in the Charlotte area we had our own crisis involving guns and schools. Luckily it was nowhere near the level of violence of Virginia Tech.
A 16-year-old student who was alleged to be distraught with his ex-girlfriend brought a gun to North Mecklenburg high school and threatened his ex’s new boyfriend with the gun. The student then left campus. Students called police who found the suspect handling his gun in his car at a local gas station. When police asked him to drop his weapon the suspect put the gun to his head and killed himself.
