Mom: Michigan Teen Shooter Stopped Taking Medication Before Killing:
The mother of David Turner, the teen who shot Jessica Forsyth outside of H.H. Dow High School in Michigan, said that Turned stopped taking his meds for bipolar disorder and ADD before shooting Jessica and taking his own life.
“He wasn’t a mean person,” she told the newspaper. “He was just really sick. I kept trying to get him help, and nobody would help him.”
Marie Turner said her son and Forsyth saw a counselor for therapy the day before the shooting.
“They were fine,” Marie Turner said. “They were laughing and having a good time. I think maybe … he just snapped. … I just know he didn’t mean to hurt her. He loved her. He wanted to take her on a cruise.”
The mother said her son’s relationship with Forsyth was on and off. The two had broken up about a week ago. Her son had gone to Dow High to return a watch and other items belonging to Forsyth, she said.
Marie Turner said he must have found a hidden key and opened her safe containing firearms.
Like I’ve said before, I wholly believe in the 2nd Amendment. However if you have kids, especially ones that are dealing with psychological issues, it’s probably a good idea to remove the guns from the house.

Judging by this article I would also it is a good idea to keep your son in therapy while he is taking drugs… sadly to many parents out there think that is a waste of time and money if they are taking the drugs… stupid parents.
Declare a national holiday. I actually agree with you on that one.
:Faints in shock: yeah its scary that so many parents think that drugs that were made for adults are an easy fix and don’t bother to have anybody monitor what the drugs (or the then lack thereof) is doing to their child. People really need to get the risks out there better but its hard to take down billion-dollar pharmasuitcals (sp??).
