Kimveer Gill was either known to police or he was paranoid. At the moment, I’m thinking it was the latter. He posted this entry on September 10, 2006:

Psychopaths generally aren’t delusional, based on what I’ve studied. So, evil as his act was, Kimveer Gill might have been a little more complex than just being a plain old psychopath.
Police in Montreal aren’t talking about his motivation for the attack on Dawson College, but I’m beginning to think paranoia and an antisocial lust for violence had a lot to do with it.
I bet if they dig a little deeper they’ll find that he has an admiration for a certain two cowardly scumbags who are burning in hell. I guess they have a friend now.
And he was 25. Why did he still hang on to the bullying mantra? He should have been long past it by then.

Thanks for the links, Trench. A note: I’ve just read in a news report that this guy was a Sikh. Could the war on terror have caused a paranoiac overload in his mind, even though no one is targeting Sikhs, as far as I know? (Sikhs normally are pretty non-violent and I don’t know of them being involved in any terrorism, anywhere.)
Well you know how some people can be. Some people think that all people of middle eastern heritage are all the same so some kind of discrimination might be true.
But my gut just tells me that he’s a Columbine “fan”. It’s too similar.

bullies should know the pain they cause.. how can people think their actions have no consequences??? while he was not justifed at all in doing what he did (it is horrific).. the world needs to understand that children who torment others are not making this world a better place to live… not at all. Parents…. communicate!!!! wake up people.. the warning signs were EVERYWHERE!!!
The fact that he mentions bullying and being monitored for six years, makes me think he just might have been a target of a phenomenon known as gang stalking.
-Bullying by multiple people.
-Complaining to the police and having then do nothing.
-He mentioned something about only having met a handful of decent people.
Suddenly he changes and stops saying hi to certain people?
He may have just been an anti-social out cast, but parts of his journals are making me think it might have been gang stalking.
We will never know the truth, I guess.
